I've never had fast shipping or even what I'd call normal shipping times from SSS.

I remember people complaining about the slow shipping years ago on the old 2Peas board. I see nothing has changed. This is the reason I've never ordered from SSS. Too bad since they have some nice things, but it isn't worth the hassle.

My November kit arrived yesterday, no substitutions or missing items this time.
I hope you all get your scrappy items soon!

I ordered once or twice from them and they were so slow to ship. I started ordering from scrapbook.com I have the same problem with SSS, and wanted to order the kit, but didn't because I knew I'd be frustrated with the shipping time/cost. The cost annoys me more than the time. They charge $7 for shipping and send my stuff in a $2.67 1st class mailer. I really don't like that they profit from shipping and handling charges. Plus my stuff is crammed into envelopes that are really too small and the packaging or lighter items like stickers or templates are crunched up. I placed an order with scrapbook.com 2 days ago and got it this morning. It was a die I wanted and they had it on sale, plus you got a free set of 5 feather dies and 2 free little doodlebug stickers with it (from their coupon page). I grabbed 2 stickers and an ephemera pack while I was shopping, my shipping was only 3.49, and they sent it priority in a HUGE box to keep the sticker intact. That was awesome.

I just checked over on the SSS blog to see if they had responded to anyone's comments or if there had been an update and it looks like the problem still isn't resolved, and the comments are getting more and more pissed off. I'm due to receive the scrapbook dot com order I placed on Oct 27th today, and I still haven't heard a peep from SSS. But here's the bit that occurred to me this morning that makes me mad. My SSS order was for this current month's kit, which is presumably already kitted up and ready to go. Nothing else. Nothing complicated. There's no real picking and packing to be done, surely. Just pick up the kit box from the shelf, process the shipping label, slap the label on the box, and send me the darn thing. What kind of shipping issue do they have that makes that take a week (so far)?? If they don't have a workaround they really should have saved this "upgrade" until January when no one is making cards. And of course my credit card was charged on Oct 25th. (I just sat down to watch another Vicki P 10 cards video, but I might have to quit her because she's why I end up getting tempted and buying from these people.)

Sorry joblackford . I finally got my kit on Saturday. What a crazy way to run a company. Bad stuff happens. COMMUNICATE IT! I can't believe they have done nothing except a single blog post after tens of people have commented that they had no idea what was going on until the people emailed SSS. Really poor customer service. I've learned my lesson. No more SSS for me. I can make do w/what I have or find it elsewhere.

It's really a bummer because SSS was the company that got me back into card making after a long hiatus. So while I feel like I should be somewhat loyal to them (that's just how I roll) I really hate waiting 7-10 days for my order to ship.
I placed an order from another company on Saturday and I got the shipping notice today at 10am. It'll be in my hot little hands on Wednesday, with free shipping.

Well mine was supposed to be delivered yesterday and I watched the mail lady put stuff in the mailbox but keep driving on with no attempt to deliver the package even though the usps website said it was "out for delivery." I have the absolute worse postal carriers, and they were delivering mail late yesterday so I bet that's why they didn't even bother with the packages....not the first time it's happened. Very annoying!

I may be in the minority but I ordered a couple of exclusive stamp sets plus used my free gift with purchase 10/18. I received everything I ordered in less then a week. The free gift was a cute full Christmas stamp set, a 5.5 inch die and an envelope. I was happy.

I remember getting a delivery from them before even though my order said processing. I dunno maybe I am grasping at straws, I just want my orders (yes multiple, prior to knowing this shipping fiasco) .
I really wish I had not planned my entire Christmas cards based on exclusive to them products. I got the stamps, ink, embossing powders, paper, card fronts, sequins ...flippin everything : (
also, where was a free gift with order?

Maybe if you call them they can expedite everything. I hope you get it all soon. Once Halloween is over, we're in the mood for Christmas crafting! Yeah, I never saw anything about the freebie, and I'm a frequent flyer. What's up with that? It sounds like it was really good.

My order officially shipped today! One week between taking my money and my stuff leaving their warehouse is pretty typical in my experience, so maybe the fiasco is over now.

I placed a huge like $400 order the beginning of October and it came with a card with a code for a free gift.

Just went to the one and only blog post and it looks like they're still way behind, still not communicating, still ignoring their customers pleas for more info.
Ellen Hutson, Scrapbook.com, Amazon....I will be fine.

Good news: my kit shipped by Priority 2 Day, so it arrived quickly once it left the warehouse.
Hope everyone else gets the same quick shipping on their packages too.

Every time I break my rule and order from SSS, I kick myself. But they were the only place that had both the die and the stamp in inventory. So on Thursday 10/26, I placed my order. Interestingly, on the confirmation I received the date was listed as 10/27 (and, yes, we are in the same time zone). My order was listed as "new" until Tuesday 10/31 when the status changed to processing. It shipped yesterday and delivery is scheduled for tomorrow.
I placed an order at scrapbook.com at 10:30 this morning. It shipped at 4:30 this afternoon.
And this is why I spend most of my crafting dollars with Ellen Hutson and scrapbook.com.
