I have 20 mostly finished scrapbook albums all lined up on a shelf. Only 2 of them are labeled on the spine. 12x12 3 ring albums, all WRMK. How do you label your albums? Any stamp sets out there to help with stamping labels?

I just hand write the info on the provided white label. Nothing special.

I use an old Making Memories magnetic stamp set that’s a typewriter font. I just do black ink on a white label. My albums are by year so it’s easy to stamp the four digit number and possibly a month range if I have enough layouts to warrant more than one volume for that year.

I made tags that I attached to the top ring (of the 3 ring binder)
I also have one album that's a trip to Universal in Florida that's "labeled" by wrapping ribbons around the spine in the 4 Harry Potter house colors (no tag)

I just hand write the info on the provided white label. Nothing special. Me too. Usually name of kid it features and year(s), or place visited and date.

I only have 6 albums and 3 of them are exclusively for my daughter. I used heat transfer material and ironed her name to the spine of the album. On the front I used the same heat transfer and labeled it "Book 1", etc. Two of the other albums are "Family" and the last is "Etcetera". But I was just thinking that I would rather have all of the layouts intertwined by year. Problem is that I can't get the heat transfer off.... Unless someone can recommend a way to get it off, looks like if I want to change my system I will have to buy some new albums...

I use those round metal rim white tags and attach them with twine to the top ring.

I have a document in my word program with templates for the sizes I need and I print the title I want to give each album when I need it.

I use a label maker to type in a title and then stick it on the album spine.

I don't think any of mine are labeled on the spine. I usually make a title die cut a title for the ones that have a little window on the cover.

I cut the year (and book number I'd I have more than one) out of 651 vinyl and put it on the spine

I just hand write the info on the provided white label. Nothing special. This. -- And I'm working on color coding them as well. One shade of blue is all ds, the strawberry is all dd, kiwi is family, the gold is currently Christmas (may change that to all holidays), the brown is family selfies, the red is dh & I, ....that's as far as I've gotten. Everything else is still in black, but I'm working on it.

my 12x12 albums all fave the little frames for labels. I just cut index cards to size and used a label maker. My mini albums don’t even have labels.

I use WRMK albums that I just hand write a label for the pocket. My sister uses metal rimmed tags and wraps twine/ribbon round the spine and attaches the tags so they hang on the outside of the spine.

I use little alpha stamps to stamp the year and a short title in the spine card. I also have some old Creative Memories albums and for those I use those metal rimmed white tags which I tie on with some ribbon.

I have a tag punch I use. I punch a circle through the top of the tag and thread the ribbon through the top ring of my 3 ring albums. I don't have albums for a designated year like only 2017. So I label them like this; 05/2007-09/2009. Once one is full, I move onto the next one. I do the same for themed albums. I like to see my pictures chronologically, but I don't scrap that way. That's probably the only consistent look I have with my albums. I use a variety of styles, sizes, and colors.

What do you tie the ribbin to? I haven't labeled any of my albums, so I'm glad the question was asked. I keep waiting for the perfect solution, haha 20 years and 30 albums later...

I have always wanted to do what Inkie Quill does with hers. (But I'm too lazy.) She puts a small photo in the label holder. It's sooo cute!

I had my old CTMH album spines embossed with the year. My LSS used to offer the service a couple times a year. Now, I use the WRMK albums with the label holders on the spine and print them out. I also have some CTMH clip on spine label holders that I bought a few years ago, but haven't needed to use yet.

I thread a ribbon down the spine on the inside and then around the bottom and up - tie in a knot near the top with the tags. Will try and take a pic tonight.

most of my albums are CTMH leather post bound or AC D ring with cloth spines so they are unlabeled only if they have a book plate on the spine do I fill something in - usually with stickers and stamps and maybe a little chipboard so that's mainly DD albums

Thanks for sharing! I'd really like to see a stamp set for labeling the bookplate on the spine of the AC, WRMK albums. Something with a little frame, a range of dates, basic subjects and maybe a coordinating alpha. I don't care to hand write my labels. For awhile I used a download from Finding Photo Freedom class, but I don't love that anymore.

I use WRMK 3 ring , navy is for day to day stuff, caramel is for travel albums. I just use coordinated paper cut to fit. No label per say, but they are loosely arranged in date order....

I use CTMH metal label holders. They just slip onto the top of the spine. Are these like little book plates? I bought clip on book plates that slide onto the spine but am getting low and of course can't find them for sale any more from the stationery shop. I do know a CTMH consultant though so I shall check these out. I use a template in word for the size and use different colours for different albums eg Family - orange my grandsons albums in age level- blue Holidays- green Christmas red I even found a secret stash of cardstock the other day with a sticky note saying "do not use- album labels only!" Obviously I wanted to keep them perfectly colour co-ordinated back in the day when all my Bazzil was kept by name. Corinne

lol, label them? 😂 ugh, most of mine are blank. But oddly enough, I know what a lot of them are just by sight. It's on my list of things to do, to get them labeled, but of course they aren't done.... I even bought some clear totes at Menards about 6 months ago that are a good size for the books. I want to store some of my older ones in my basement (ran out of room upstairs where I work). My plan is to store them by theme, which will help in locating them in the future.
