I'm not a fan of color but I'm not a chip/Joanna groupie either. But surprisingly I love this line. I love that they kept it affordable.

lord, she is the most overrated decorator on the planet right now. yeah, yeah , rustic chic, never changes or branches out. Very colorless and bland. So, nope won't be braving Target for any of it.

Um, why aren't any of the round dishes actually round? That's just stupid. I think Joanna likes to be inspired with the design of wabi sabi which embraces the beauty of imperfection.

It is nice but nothing really floats my boat. My interest was piqued with the Letters to Santa box but seems like a large item to have such a singular purpose. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) I do like the simplicity. While I am over farmhouse everything in home decor, I like the idea of simple and not overdone Christmas decorations. There is just something about going into a house that feels Christmasy rather than going into a house accosts your every sense with decorations.

I know that I predicted it would be on eBay by noon, but I grossly underestimated the timing! It's 8:45 am here and there are already quite a few listings up - and a few have already sold. Looking at the prices they are charging, considering eBay & PayPal fees, as well as offering free shipping, they really aren't making that much for their effort.

So I went to my Target (like 2 miles from my house) and was there about 5 min after they opened. There were some people there, but nothing crazy. Ours had free Starbucks and pastries. I ended up picking up a large galvanized metal lantern for my fireplace. It will fit perfectly.
I was in and out in 12 minuets.

I would not be able to use the plates. The wonkiness would drive me insane. Why are they not round? It's really bugging my (Self-diagnosed) OCD.
It all seems so blah and sad. Where is the pop of color for fun? It doesn't have to be all neon, but a little red for the holidays would be ok.

I love the imperfect stoneware! And the little nesting houses were cute. And the GATHER napkin rings. I may have to go to Target and look at some of it in person.

Man you guys are a tough crowd! Holy critical! I read all of the comments here before looking at the link, and thought the collection must be boring, cheap-looking, and over-priced. I was pleasantly surpised. Classy, simple, coordinating pieces that are inviting. I don't think she's over-rated at all; I can't believe people are complaining that she had a particular style. Haha! That is hilarious to me. Yes, she has a style. It's not your style. Totally fine! Move on! Maybe Pioneer Woman's bright dishes and Fiesta Ware is more your style? I don't get my panties in a twist thinking, yikes, too much going on there, too many colors clashing! Why can't Pioneer Woman offer something a little more nuetral? Instead I think, huh, not my style. And that's that. Oh peas, never change. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

I get it isn't everyone's style (thank God, more for me!) but geez. Move on and find what you enjoy. I love the simplicity of it all. I swear the older I get the more I want to clear the clutter and distractions out. I was pleasantly surprised at the price point - I think its spot on. Most is under $30. Everything I saw in store was well made - the pottery was heavy and nice. I am actually excited to see her year around items as I know will probably be able to incorporate them into my own home. Duh! I think I missed it because it was one of those photos that flash back and forth. I really do like it, but I don't know if it's worth $229.00. I admit to not knowing about good furniture. We mostly own assemble it yourself furniture.

Not sure how it wouldn't age well. I thought the color combination and style of plaid looked very early 90s trend, which I know is in right now, but I don't think it ages well. I don't think plaid is timeless because there are so many variations of it.

Pier 1 also has a small line of Magnolia products, mostly rugs. But if you have to have something, there's another place to look.

I went early this morning and picked up some dish towels, a table runner, some cloth napkins, the Gather napkin rings, a food scale, place cards, 3 ornaments, and a wooden stand. I love everything I got!
I love decorating and making tablescapes so I always have extra decor on hand when I change things out.

I have been "over" Target for a long time. I find their "designers" to be nothing more than the what you can find in any other big box retailer, and generally more expensive than I can get at the mall.
Their clothing lines have gone off the rails as far as my body type, age, and profession. They have very few plus-size options (last time I checked we had a whopping grand total of SIX, count them SIX, round racks of plus size clothes. And most of them were obviously geared toward a much younger crowd rather than a mature woman looking for business casual clothing. Even their jeans were all "skinny" style (which to me is such an oxymoron for plus-size clothing, but that's another story LOL).
It is sooooo disappointing! I used to purchase almost my entire teaching wardrobe from Target 20 years ago. I bought their Cherokee brand pants and tops that looked great, fit great, and looked good after multiple washings. Based on what I have seen from the items my daughters have bought, their current lines do not have the same quality.
So every once in while I will look at Target's "latest and greatest" thinking that maybe, just maybe, this time they will get it right. And every time, I am disappointed. If it does turn out to be something decent (and I think this promotion actually includes some very nice items), the price isn't anything great and the variety is pretty much the same as what I can get elsewhere at a similar or lower price.
Nope, won't be lining up at Target for this one (although it is probably too late anyway because it has already been purchased by the ebayers!).

I couldn't check it out closely on account of cranky kids and an impatient husband but I saw the Letters to Santa box in person and it is much heavier and well made than I expected.

I got the star candle holders for my dining room. Super cute! I very much like all of the stuff, but am not of a mind to redecorate right at this minute. I will be picking up a few other things, though. I like the galvanized lanterns for the hearth, too, but I want to go see them in person to see if I want to get them/see the size. I also bought a Franklin cart for my entry way (which was already at Target and is not part of the Magnolia brand). I like how it's styled in the pic and may pick up some other items (or dig through HomeGoods/Marshalls for similar). I have the bar cart in my dining room. ![](https://target.scene7.com/is/image/Target/52984506?wid=520&hei=520&fmt=pjpeg)

I love the collection. I love understated, simple, classy and I feel like this line has all of that. I couldn’t be there when they opened so I ordered online and I’m so excited to get it. I got a black metal house shaped lantern, the wooden nesting houses, a wreath, a black stoneware pitcher, some greenery filler for the lantern and a really pretty white bowl with cutouts and has a black metal handle. Also got one of the little house vases for my guest bathroom. I’d like to see the black silverware and wonky dishes in person. I love the looks of them online.

Nope, won't be lining up at Target for this one (although it is probably too late anyway because it has already been purchased by the ebayers!). I'm of the opposite mind. I just was there today and their Plus collection looks better than ever. I found myself a little envious that some of the items weren't offered in the other sizes. I think the revamp of the clothing lines is pretty good, too. (Not a huge fan of the Knox Rose line, but the rest is nice). Beautiful pink velvet skirts, tops, nice flannel, good sweaters, fun fur vests, lots of cool things. Skinny jeans are on trend so it makes sense that there are lots of them, but my Target had boot cut and flares as well. That Cherokee line was so dowdy. I was glad to see it go. I buy at Target for the trend, though; I don't expect those clothes to last forever. If I want high quality work pieces like suiting, I don't really shop at Target. For that kind of thing I'd invest more and go to J.Crew, Banana Republic, White House/Black Market, etc.

I went to Target around 11:30 and was pleasantly surprised at how much product they still had. Apparently my Target had a lot of back stock and they were busy restocking while I was there.
I bought 8 of the cream dessert plates with the black x's The lambs ear wreath a couple ornaments The Good Morning Handsome mug The Merry and Bright Mug And the black metal measuring cups
I love everything I bought!
