I've read some blog posts for and against double cleansing. I'm wondering if any of the peas do this? If so, which types of products do you use and what changes have you noticed in your skin?
ETA that I am referring to how you wash your face. But maybe we need to double cleanse some other places as well?

Are you kidding? There are people that can't even be bothered to soap their asses, let alone double cleanse something.
Also had a super interesting conversation about washcloths with several old friends while I was back home visiting. Eye opening.

Well I wash my face once in the morning and once in the evening?

So, the idea is that you wash once with an oil based cleanser to remove the debris and products that supposedly won't be washed away or dislodged with a water based cleanser. then with a water based cleanser. Although I think I saw that Angie from Hot and Flashy uses the same cleanser twice. But one blog said that if you wash with an oil cleanser first, it leaves molecules on your face that will make it harder for skin creams and treatments to penetrate. Curious as to what is more accurate.

I double cleanse. I do the whole K-Beauty thing (except I don't sheet mask very much). I get great results. I can't really say how much is because of the double cleansing and how much is because of the rest of the routine, but I'm not going to mess with it. I will say that my skin is super duper clean after double cleansing (but never tight or dry feeling at all) - there's nothing on the cotton pads after I tone with Beauty Water. I use this oil-based cleanser and this water-based cleanser.

Yes....you have time for that. Seriously. I follow the 10 step Korean skin care routine and gasp...it only takes me around 5-7 minutes every night. My skin looks amazing and I get comments on it all of the time.
Your future self will thank you for taking good care of your skin.
I posted my skin care routine in the Beauty thread.

I usually remove my makeup (especially eye makeup) with a cleansing wipe then I use my clarasonic with Philosophy's purity cleanser.

I need to get my life together and stop being lazy. I can barely prioritize using a makeup wipe and moisturizing before bed.

Is there a difference in using products that are advertised as "k beauty" as opposed to regular American products?

Yeah, that just isn't how I care to spend my time. I don't do a lot to my skin and when I go for a facial they typically tell me that I have great skin and that while they will recommend products, I don't really need them. I suck at beauty routines

If I had to think about doing a 10 step routine, I wouldn’t get out of bed. I remove makeup at night with a Neutrogena wipe then use a mild cleanser with a Buf-Puf followed by a hydrating gel moisturizer. Morning is the same minus makeup remover plus hydrating gel moisturizer with sunscreen.

I use this oil-based cleanser and this water-based cleanser. I started the K-beauty regime a few weeks ago. I do the oil cleanse followed by the water based cleanser. It’s amazing how there is still a little bit of makeup on my face even after the oil cleanse. It used to take me 10-15 min to do the routine, but now that I know it by heart, I can do it all in under 5 min. I’m not sure if it will make a difference in the long run, but my skin feels and looks so nice after I’m finished. I feel like I pampered myself (and everything smells really great too). Admittedly, I have skipped a few steps on occasion when I’m tired, but I get back into it the next day because I invested $$ in all the products. Edited to add that I can be very lazy when it comes to taking off makeup & moisturizing. Now that I do this routine, I’ve started reading blogs about skincare. There are so many products I can’t wait to try.

Is there a difference in using products that are advertised as "k beauty" as opposed to regular American products? Well, essences are a really important part of K-beauty and they don't really exist in regular American products. Likewise with oil-based cleansers. IME, K-beauty products tend to be more gentle and effective. I haven't looked back since switching. It takes a little more time, but it's been worth it for me.

I don't think of my skin care as a beauty routine. I love my 5 minute routine every night. Different strokes for different folks!

I have a trial size of Josie Maran argon oil cleanser as well as a bottle of Shea Moisture oil based cleanser. I thought I couldn't mix an oil based and water based so haven't really used them much since I didn't know if I would take the time for oil based all of the time. I have tons of products of various types that I need to use so would want to incorporate them if I started a k beauty routine. I don't have anything that would resemble essence, though.

I like Sokoglam a lot too - it's my go-to site. Their blog is super educational (yes, a lot of the products they discuss they sell, but not all).

I don't do follow a K beauty routine, but I do double cleanse. I can't say if it's contributing to the improvement in my skin though because I've also added a ton of other things to my routine. I follow Angie at Hot and Flashy's morning and evening routine about 90%...with a few tweaks.

I do. At first I was skeptical about using oil to clean because I was so oily already. But I gave it a try. First oil cleanse, then foam cleanse. What a difference it's made in my oily skin! My oil production has decreased so much! No more harsh chemicals from make up removing sheetS. My skin is just soft and clean. After that I apply my serums and moisturizer.
