I was out of college by then but I voted John Travolta because I saw Saturday Night Fever at least 7-8 times. Loved the music and the dancing. Didn't like the female star at all.

There is no choice for "All of the Above" I liked Grant Goodeve, the older brother on "Eight is Enough" and Randolph Mantooth from "Emergency" too.

I was born in 1970 so was a little young for the 70s-era teen idols...but I vividly remember going to a slumber party at a friend's house in 1978 or 1979 and she had a poster of the Bee Gees on her wall. I remember looking at Barry Gibb (didn't know who he was at the time) and thinking that was one very handsome man! I'm sure that was my first exposure to pin-up gentlemen! I still think he was quite a hottie!

Donny Osmond was my teen crush. I was so disappointed to know we could never marry because he was Mormon and I wasn't. I had no idea conversion was an option. 😂
A couple years ago all the employees at my local Trader Joe's were excitedly asking each other if they'd seen "him" or talked to him and saying what a nice guy he was. Turns out I'd missed Donny and a couple of his grandkids by minutes. They were vacationing in my beach town.

Also a special nod to Rex Smith because that's how I met my husband. He made fun of me for listening to Rex Smith over and over on my 8 track player as a way to start a conversation with me. OMG!! I loved Rex Smith!! I haven't thought about him in years!! What was the name of that movie he did? Sooner or Later? And don't forget Rex Smith in The Pirates of Penzance. He was dreamy.

I was born in 71, so i was too young for these guys. I did always think the young Leif Garret was hot though.

Donny Osmond just posted this on Facebook about David Cassidy:
"Shocked and heartbroken to hear the news of my friend #DavidCassidy's passing. In the '70s, David and I shared dozens of teen magazine covers and wall space in the rooms of countless teenaged girls. In fact, my wife even had David's poster hanging on her wall. I enjoyed getting to know David and spending time with him through the years. My thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones. #
I love that his wife had David Cassidy's poster on her wall!

Also a special nod to Rex Smith I just heard "You Take My Breath Away" yesterday on SiriusXM 70s channel - my sister had a huge crush on Rex Smith - she even wrote him a fan letter and she got a response and an autographed photo.

Definitely David Cassidy! Although Davy Jones was high up there too but my older sister wanted him so I couldn’t have him. Some of y’all are so young... I became a teenager in 1974.

Donny Osmond, and I am still obsessed. He is great to follow on instagram and fb. But I also admit to crushes on Robby Benson and John Travolta back in the day.

LOL, None of the above. I wasn’t even a teenager until 1980! Well for you then you can choose Peter Frampton LOL no way! My sister (8 years older than me) thought he was hot. Me, not so much! I wasn’t even thinking about boys when I was 13. And once I started paying attention, I liked the more clean cut ones like Rob Lowe or C. Thomas Howell. My brother is/was a musician so none of them ever really made me swoon.

LOL! I was a HUGE Donny Osmond fan! I remember reading the teen magazines at the grocery store while my mom did the grocery shopping. I had my bedroom wall covered with his posters. I had it bad! LOL!

The guy from DeFranco Family (Hearbeat, it's a love beat, and when weeeee meeeeet .....!) I went to Jr. High with the DeFrancos! My claim to fame - ha ha ha. My crush was Bobby Sherman - couldn't believe that David Cassidy bumped him off the covers of TigerBeat!

Donny was my freaking dream boat. Oh, those cute eyes and the way his bangs kinda swooped off to the sides..
I still follow him and Marie on FB, they are really cute and a fun to follow. Donny posts lots of fun found video footage of his performances.
David Cassidy was older so I thought he was cute but I didn't seriously crush on him.
Oh and Davy Jones.
Once those guys fell off the radar, it was all about
Robby Benson. Oh Robby and those dreamboat blue eyes. I remember all us middle schoolers watching One on One (up yours with a red hot poker!) Ode To Billy Joe, and Ice Castles on cable like very single day. The obsession over Robby was strong..
until Matt Dillon came on the scene. Then it was all over for me. That bad boy in Over the Edge and Rumble Fish, etc. Mercy.

Didn't she totally ruin the movie for you? I swear, as good as he was in it, I always wind up being so distracted by my hate of Stephanie Mangano and her stupid accent. <shudder>

I was 13 in 1973 and The Partridge Family was on TV from 1970 to 1974-perfect timing for me. My first teen idol was David Cassidy. My sister's (who was 18 months younger than I) was Bobby Sherman. I couldn't understand it. Couldn't she see what I saw? How perfect David Cassidy was? How cute he was? How wonderfully he could sing?
I never did get to see him in concert but to be honest he kind of slipped from my mind in my adult years.

Donny Osmond was my true love - until he got married the day after my 8th birthday and forever broke my heart. Next up were Shaun Cassidy & then Scott Baio (that was before i found out what a douche he is now)
In the 80s - Patrick Swayze was my main man!!! Followed by Harrison Ford
Monica* - HR Puffnstuff was the bomb!!!!

I do remember having an albums by Rex Smith and Shaun Cassidy. And I loved watching the Brady Bunch and Partridge Family ever day. I do remember my sisters loving Ice Castles and I did like Robby Benson

There are also a lot of old Andy Williams Christmas shows, and he often had the Osmonds on. Just FYI if you need some holiday viewing...

Just FYI if you need some holiday viewing... ^^^ I will totally have to go look some of them up! I prefer the older Donny Osmond (his Broadway show tunes, etc.) but I do miss the nostalgia of those 1970s / 80s holiday specials-- even if they did do new specials like that now, I wouldn't know who any of the people on them are, lol. ETA: right now I'm listening to the Definitive Collection of the Partridge family on my iPod, and next I'm going to listen to the soundtrack to the Broadway show Blood Brothers (which starred David and Sean Cassidy in the leading roles).
