with everyday meals?
Myself I only serve dessert when I have company to dinner. But I notice that on [HASH]akathy "What's for dinner" thread that many list dessert on their menu.

Rarely...maybe once a week. We generally snack on popcorn or cheese and crackers in the evening after dinner instead.

No...my tastes buds would love it but my waistline not so much... That would definitely be asking for trouble in Mrs Depp land

No. The kids can have a scoop of ice cream if they want, but it's nothing formal or regular.

Everyday meals- never. I just don't want my kids to get in the bad habit of thinking they need to eat it with every dinner meal.

The majority of the time, no. DH doesn't eat sweets at all. He never has. If I have sweets in the house, I am the only one around eat them and I don't need it so I try not to have them in the house. I have no will power. LOL If I am having a group for dinner, I will sometimes have a dessert. It really depends on who will be here and whether or not those people will eat it. I actually know a lot of people that almost never eat sweets.

No, not for every meal. Maybe once a week. My daughters have a few favorites that they request so I always make sure I have the ingredients on hand.

More often than not - hubby and I both have a sweet tooth. If there's no dessert there's always chocolate in the fridge

I only "serve" dessert when we have guests. Some evenings we have an ice cream bar but, not every night.

Nope. Only if we're entertaining. The only sweet my kids like is Oreos. I always have some Ben & Jerry's in the freezer, but I don't eat it every nite. My husband doesn't eat sweets anymore.

I seem to need a sweet at least once a day. My waistline shows it.

No, no desert served with meals at home. Sometimes when we are eating out. My ability to control myself with desert items in the house is pathetic.

I only serve dessert when we have company. We usually have some sort of snacky items in the pantry or DH makes a bowl of cereal if he gets hungry in the evening.

DH has a huge sweet tooth. HUGE. So I bake him a cake every week and usually a batch of cookies. We also always have ice cream in the freezer. But I rearely eat it. I'll have a slice of each cake to try it out and he has the rest. I'll have a couple of cookies a week to try those. If we're going to someone's house, I'll generally bring dessert and for most family gatherings, I'm the dessert person.

We have something sweet pretty much every night here. I always have something home baked or from a local bakery. But we eat a small serving. No weight or diabetes issues in my house though.

Not on a regular basis, no. My girls and I do like a little something sweet after dinner, but that usually just means grabbing a cookie, piece of chocolate, etc.

The kids get "dessert" every night if they've eaten well at dinner and haven't been horrible. But their "dessert" is usually a small piece of candy from the candy jar. Like a lollypop or a mini bag of M&Ms.

My husbanda and daughter want desert every night after dinner. I how ever do not. Yeah every once in a while I will join them in desert but most of the time I would rather have a snack later in the evening or not at all.. I hardly ever want sweet desert....
I rather have homemade chex mix or popcorn.

We rarely have dessert unless guests are over, but occassionally I'm inspired to bake something like an apple crisp when the weather cools. The kids can have ice cream if they want.
Unless there are guests, we always have dessert later, after the meal is cleared & kitchen cleaned up, but I grew up in a house where dessert was served every night and no one was excused from the table until it was finished.

Usually - I've found serving a small dessert stops the family looking for chocolate or a biscuit a couple of hours after dinner! At this time of year it's usually strawberries, raspberries, blackberries or some kind of fruit with a spoonful of cream though.

I don't 'serve' dessert as a specific part of the meal (other than holidays), but we will sometimes have a couple cookies with milk or a small bowl of ice cream in the evening after dinner, but not as part of the meal itself.

Not formally but both my DH and I like sweets so we usually have a little (that's the goal anyway) something sweet after dinner.
