I have a Yorkie who loves anything on wheels. DH was mowing grass tonight and i had her on my lap while the gate to the fence was open. She was squirming to get down so she could ride on the mower. I was trying to get a better grip on her and the little shit head butted me. It felt like she broke my nose she hit so hard! Now I have a bruise on my nose and my cheek. And it still hurts like hell! BTW, the little shit is fine.

I tripped on the threshold of the door to the garage from my laundry room, flew over the three steps and did a face plant on the concrete garage floor. I broke my nose and three toes, and flared up tendonitis in my hand. Luckily, dd had parked the car just far enough from the steps or I would have hit part of my body on the car.

Well, I used to own a pair of what we called "boat shoes". Sperry. Tan leather. Leather shoe strings. You know the ones! I was tying one and when I pulled the strings taut, the string broke and I hit myself dead in the eye. Giving myself a nice shiner.
I had a hard time getting some people to believe I hadn't been in a fight!

I took my little girl to her second Mommy and me gymnastics session. She started to run off, so I tried to jump up. When I did, I tore the ligament in my thumb. It hurts like hell. I was very lucky it didn't tear all the way. That would have required surgery. I just have to wear a brace for 4 weeks. And everyone keeps asking me what I did. And I have to tell them I got hurt at gymnastics.

When I was in middle school, the only place for my coat was under my set of shelves. One evening, I shoved it in there but not well enough, so the locker didn't close. So I shoved it in with my foot.
And sliced my ankle on the section where the latch goes.
Based on the scar, I probably should have been taken in for stitches.

I had my nose broken by a crab net. We were crabbing in Oregon with my niece and her BFF. They were helping us pull the crab nets up into the boat for the catch. They didn't have a good hold of the net and somehow in the commotion the net and me being short it hit me square between the eyes. I had to have my nose rebroken several years later for the sinus surgery business. The crab net was better way to go! LOL!

I tripped over my 3 year old walking to the car after daycare. I somehow flung him up onto the grass but between his hand in one hand and his stuff in the other hand I had nothing to brace myself when I fell. I hit one knee before the other and then my face hit the curb. The mom in the car behind me just sat there and watched while I was bleeding all over the place trying to make sure ds was ok. Then I had to go back in the daycare, bleeding all over and crying. Luckily, Ds's teacher was leaving and grabbed me rags for my face and an ice pack. She stayed until I could leave. We made a trip to the ER that night, couldn't put stitches on the inside of my lip but I got a great big leg immobilizer. Several ortho visits, physical therapy, 2 cortisone shots, and over a year later, I can now bend it but the swelling won't go all the way down. My options now are limited to surgery but the good days outweigh the bad so I'll live with it.

I was cutting fabric at my table, sitting very closely to the table and concentrating. I swished my right funbag between the scissor handles. Ouch.

Years ago we used to use a burn barrel for our paper trash. I was upset with my daughter that she didn't take the trash out when I asked her to, so I took it out myself. When I flung it in the barrel I caught my middle finger on the telephone pole that was next to the burn barrel. I got a heck of a large splinter, that my DH was able to mostly remove. The next day it was swollen and really sore so I went to the doctor and had to have the splinter surgically removed. Talk about painful and the doctor was not going to numb it first. About 2 days later I started getting red, oozing sores on my arm, so back to the doctor I went. I ended up having creosote poisoning from the splinter.
It was awful. I had to have the sores scraped, the finger wound reopened and cleaned again and I was on several meds. All because my teenager was lazy!!

When I was six I inadvertently walked on hot coals. Barefoot. I wouldn't recommend it. Had a blister the size of a grape on my foot and started kindergarten wearing slippers.

Last year I fell off of a computer table while I was setting up my classroom. I was hot gluing laminated posters to the wall above the table, Since the only available outlet for the glue gun was about 15 feet away from the wall where I was putting the posters, I had to apply the hot glue and the high-tail it across the room, climb up on a student desk, and then go from there onto the computer table - all before the glue hardened on the back of the poster. Ever-so-gracefully, I lost my footing while stepping onto the table, bounced off the desk, and landed on my hind end on the floor. No major injuries, but I had horrible bruises on my hip and my tailbone that lasted for weeks, along with a major blow to my dignity! Oh, wait! I was head-butted by a goat at a family reunion once! Is that more interesting?

When I was little, my friend and I were playing dress up. We had a pair of sunglasses and we wanted to poke the lenses out to make "real" glasses, and I thought I could just push the lens out of the frame. It was harder than I thought, so I pressed really hard with my thumb and shattered the glass which then sliced my thumb. That sucker was deep, and it bled and bled. I probably should have had stitches. There was another weird injury from when I was younger still. My brother and I were bored at a party my parents had and we were poking colored toothpicks into the carpet behind a chair to make a road for some sort of imagination game. When it was time to clean up I leaned on my right hand to reach a far toothpick, and missed the one right under that hand. The toothpick broke from the pressure and part of it was buried in my hand. That was not a fun trip to the doctor.

Years ago we had a pug who used to tinkle on the floor. I would chase after him with a rolled up newspaper and his usual getaway trick was to run into our bedroom, around the bed, under the bed, and back out the door. One day, thinking I would outsmart him, when he ran into the bedroom, I was hot on his paws and shut the door as I went in. He went around the bed and under the bed; I went around the bed and OVER the bed, ready to swat him on the other side. As I swung, my arm came out of the socket and I laid there in abject pain, crying, with my bone sticking out unnaturally. I was alone in the house with no one there to help. The poor dog was terrified and I wasn't doing so well myself. I finally managed to ease myself up and as I did, the bone snapped back into place. Oh.my.god, what pain! To this day, I still can't make an overhead movement or throw an overhand ball or swim or lots of things without it popping or wanting to pop out of the socket.

My hubby dropped the fridge on my thumb. I thought I was going to pass out. I went to the bathroom and did pass out on the toilet. I woke up with my pants at my ankles praying that I wasn't at work.

I had my nose broken by a trash can.
It was a very windy day, and I was pushing out trash dumpster out to the curb. As soon as I walked out of the garage with the trash can, the wind caught the lid, flipped it up, and it smacked right into my face. I thought it knocked my front teeth out because that's where it hit.
I ran in the house, afraid to look in the mirror, and just as I did, blood started pouring from my nose. Long awful story short, I spent the evening in the ER having my broken nose packed. A horrifying experience. LOL This happened 10 years ago, and I do not take out the trash unless I have to. When I do, I hold the lid down as I walk down the driveway with the can.

azredhead Oh, it was, believe me! lol - I was screaming toward the windows hoping my next door neighbor would hear me, but no such luck. For years I couldn't vacuum under things because the stupid thing would pop out and I gotta tell you, it hurts like a sombeotch!! It's calmed down over the years, but I'm still leery doing certain movements. Underhand, I'm good, overhand, I'm in trouble.

I cut my nipple while shaving my legs. Talented, right? My husband (boyfriend at the time) came home unexpectedly and decided to sneak into the bathroom. I didn't hear him come in, so of course when he opened the shower curtain he scared the crap out of me. My hands went up along with the razor and it grazed my nipple. OUCH! Thankfully the bleeding stopped and I didn't have to explain that to the ER staff.

I BET! I couldn't scream when Shelby broke my nose with crab net, I didn't want to freak her out. But we tease her about every so often.

I separated my pinky completely off my hand( without cutting it off) by falling out of the back of my truck .
I fell face first into the house. Took 1 hydro and then 2 aleve the next day and completely shut down my digestive tract. I am oh so very careful with aleve now

I had the last bone in my left hand pinkie (the bone under the nail) broken. I was holding keys with my pinkie through the key ring when the h (now ex) tried to take them from me. I clamped my hand in a fist. He jerked them out of my hand anyway. The result was that bone breaking. Got him a night in jail and me a night in the er.

I was standing in one place, turned my upper body only to the side (no movement of my feet or legs), and broke a large heel spur which then tore my Achilles tendon.
That was in March. I'm still recovering from the surgery that was required.

See the little guy in my Avatar? He weighed 6-1/4 pounds dripping wet. My weird hall has a spot where when they added to the house, the addition was an inch lower... instead of kind of ramping it with carpet cushion or something, the idiots carpeted it like a little step so it is MORE accentuated. Anyway, I was walking down the haul with Michel tucked in my right arm, behind inside my elbow and his front body was in the palm of my hand.
I have always walked just BARELY picking up my feet off the floor due to tiny pets and stuff when I was a kid. Well, because Michel was so tiny, I got worse about barely gliding my feet across the floor after I partially stepped on him one time. Didn't hurt him, scared him AND me, I was fortunately able to keep from really stepping on him. Anyway, I trip over the tiny step up, all I can think of is that I'm going to kill Michel when I fall on him. I land on my LEFT knee and my right elbow/shoulder. Michel was like WHEE, let's do it again! He landed in front of my head, my right arm stretched out with the palm and inside of my arm UP where he landed gently his body straddling my arm from palm toward the elbow. I had carpet burns and my knee hurt so bad that I just lay there a while and tried not to scream. Knee was previously hurt by first "h" which is why I left the SOB and it doesn't take much to make it hurt like [HASH]$%

I broke one ankle (and nearly broke the other) wearing heels that were too big. Dh and I were waiting for a table at a restaurant and I saw a Pier One across the parking lot. It was dark and I thought I was walking down a sloped part of the sidewalk but I stepped straight off the curb. Both ankles caved and bent, and I could feel the one snap. I was so focused on buying my candles that I wasn't looking where I was going. LOL To this day I have a fear of heels.

Not any serious injuries, but when tightening the girth on the saddle, I have lost grip, hit my nose and started to bleed. Not once, but several times.
