We binged the whole thing over the weekend thanks to everyone in the house being sick. I wasn't sure how my husband would like it but he LOVED it. For once, he's the one who kept saying, "Let's watch one more episode!"
Such a great show. And I've loved Alex Borstein ever since her MAD TV days. She is so good as Susie.

Susie is my favorite character on the show. I really enjoyed the series and look forward to the second season. My favorite moments were when Midge breezed in off the street, walked up on stage, and just started talking to the audience. I also loved seeing someone who appeared prim and proper, swear like a sailor and tackle "unladylike" subjects. ETA: I can't get a quotation to stick in this post to save my life! I quoted Compwalla's "She is so good as Susie" from the previous post.

Thank you so much for mentioning this. I'm looking for something new to watch. I was just about to start it and then saw that the writers for Gilmore Girls are behind it. I decided to wait until my daughter gets home from the movies. She was a huge fan of Gilmore Girls and she'd probably want to watch it with me. I love watching shows where the clothes and sets are great. I'm excited!

We finished watching it last night. My husband enjoyed it as much as I did. So many possibilities of where this might go in the next season.

I’ve seen it in the recommendations in my emails and will have to watch. I’m a 70’s kid but my parents were older by the time I came along. My mom didn’t wear fancy nightwear, just basic cotton pajamas or nightgowns and I remember a red and green plaid robe that she wore for decades. My dad had to be at work by 5:30 am before the day shift workers started, and she would get up around 4:00 am with him every day to make him a hot breakfast and pack him a lunch. I was just thinking the other day how if my DH had to work that early, the poor guy would be on his own LOL! She didn’t do the whole make the kids look nice before dad gets home thing though. I also remember pestering the crap out of him the second he walked in the door and it never bothered him.

I just downloaded the first season on my iPad mini. My DH has a couple of medical procedures scheduled the coming week, which means I’ll be sitting in waiting rooms for hours. I’m not good at sitting in waiting rooms without something to entertain me. LOL
The reviews on Amazon are amazing. I think it said 4.9 out of 5. I’m really looking forward to watching it.

Just finished season one in two days. The costume design, music and writing are exceptional...I hope season two is just as good!
