I feel bad for the college players when they make a mistake or screw something up. A fumble, missed field goal, interceptions, missed tackle can lose a game for your team. The sting of defeat is hard on fans. Even worse on players, especially those who feel like they should have done x, y, or z.
ETA: Unless they play for Nebraska. The anti-Nebraska feeling runs deep, even after all these years.

I DID have a Dawg in that fight (my dd goes to UGA) and my heart rate still hasn't quite returned to normal. What a game! ETA: As a Hokie, the ACC is my first love so I'm sure hoping that Clemson can pull through! |

And I am so incredibly disappointed that it is going to be all SEC. It would have been one thing if there had been an 8 team playoff with another round of games and it ended up this way, but with only 4 teams, 4 conferences should have been represented. I’m not an SEC fan, so really don’t care whether it is Bama or Georgia who ends up as a champion. I can’t even work up any enthusiasm. There is absolutely no reason for anyone in our house (a big 10 and acc Household) to cheer for or against either team. Congratulations to Alabama and Georgia, though. I hope the fans enjoy every moment of it! The Georgia-Oklahoma game was one for the ages - thank you for a great game. |

I didn't have a dog in either game! lol! But I've been following the top teams. Wisconsin is our 2nd team behind our BYU team, but they just went through a bunch of hires and fires. I'm thrilled for the Badgers! On Wisconsin!!
The Rose Bowl was impressive. I am am very interested to see were both QB's go in the NFL draft. I would love to go one of these games. Football is a religion 'so to speak' amazing fan bases. and I love it! It's big in some schools here, but I don't think it's anything like the fan craze I've seen in Georgia and Clemson. Just watching these games is fun! I've also been very wrapped up in the hiring and firings in the NFL today so I'm on football overload! lol!!

I can certainly understand why the majority of the nation can't get too excited about an all SEC championship; I'd feel the same way if it wasn't my conference.
Of course we are very THRILLED with the Georgia win and can't wait. Watching the GA/OK game was exhausting! After the game we just sat in stunned joy. Both teams gave it their all. I wanted a win for the Dawgs, but didn't want it the cheap and easy way against a Sooners team that wasn't performing well. It was an excellent contest of two teams playing at their best.

I also wanted to wipe that smug mug off of his face!!! Did you see where he gave the "You're done" gesture in the beginning of the game? RUDE! I am kind fo excited about an SEC natty but it won't be an easy game for either team. My dh had to work this morning but I had to stay up to cheer on my Tide. It was soooo hard to keep quiet when Payne intercepted and then scored. I LOVE a defensive TD!!! I hated that Jalen didn't throw the ball to some open players and I really don't think he's top NFL draft material. He is too slow to decide and I don't think he sees the field as well as Tua Tagovailoa does. Jalen did a good job but Georgia is gonna walk (run) all over him if he doesn't make quicker decision and get rid of the ball sooner. No doubt he can run but that's not his job on every play. The outcome was great and further proves that the Tide is a huge 4th quarter force. They've won so many games in the 4th! Glad I stayed up but I'm needing some extra coffee this morning! Roll Tide! He wasn't even the starting QB, but our QB got hurt in the Notre Dame game. Crazy year for that kid! |

Top 3 best (and most nerve racking) sporting events I’ve been to! My list is short: Braves World Series win in 1995, Rays winning game 163 on an Evan Longoria HR after a long Boston rain delay and the 2018 Rose Bowl. Go Dawgs!!! Trying to get tickets but it’s not looking good. I refuse to pay 2 mortgage payments for a bad seat. I’d rather watch at home. |

I'm sitting this one out I think! I know I should be pulling for my state, but that's just hard to do when it's your rival all year long. Same thing with Georgia, they are a huge rival to my team.
