Ah, I am so sorry. It's so shocking to lose a pet in such a dreadful way. We lost our two adored rabbits to a fox and all that was left of one was her little white tail. Hugs to you.

I am so sorry. That is a horrifying way to discover your pet. My heart is sad for you also as I imagine how I would feel. I hope you never experience that again.

I found a wild turkey in my yard with just its head removed. Those are huge birds and there's no way a cat did that. A neighbor told me he saw a fox making off with a mallard duck in his yard recently.
I'd bet it was a fox.

Aw, I’m sorry to hear that.
If it was a raccoon, and just taking the head is a classic raccoon maneuver, be sure that whatever fence you use doesn’t allow a raccoon to get its little hands through because they are known to do their nasty work just by reaching through, they don’t need full access. They can chew or rip through anything less that 1/4” hardware cloth if they’re of a mind to. Also, whatever predator it was will be back now that they know where the food is.

You have always been a part of the heist. You're only mad now because you don't like your cut.

We lost a couple of chickens that were in a run and I think this is how it happened.
