We don't have big plans for New Year's Eve - just home with the family, eating appetisers, and perhaps watching a movie or playing a game together. So I'm hoping to get some projects finished up before the New Year.
So far I've done 2 8x8 layouts in DD17's high school album - I have one more to finish and I'll be caught up.

New Year's Eve is not my favourite holiday so I am VERY happy to stay in by myself. I am soon headed out to brunch with some friends, and then I plan to head to the grocery store and LSS to check out some new goodies they got in. Once I am settled back at home I plan on spending today and tomorrow working in my craft space (maybe scrapbooking, maybe finally finishing the organizing that I keep committing to).

I’ve just spent all day tying up loose ends in my 2017 albums - filling in journaling spots, doing cover pages. Feel so pleased to have had some good and successful crafting time.
Now me and my OH start preparing our buffet, get drunk on cocktails, play board games and ring in the new year just the two of us.
Happy new year to you all!

I'll be doing a lot more crafting and a little bit more cleaning/organizing in my craft room today and tomorrow. I finished 4 cards this morning and started the next batch of 4. One more batch tomorrow and I can switch over to birthday cards. I had a bad flare up of arthritis in my hands and it's great to finally be able to stamp again.
I've also told myself that every time I'm in my craft room I must find 5 things to give away, throw away or put in their proper places.
I'm looking forward to a good dinner, a good glass of wine and a good book to ring in the new year!

infochick - enjoy the LSS! peachiceteas - well done tying up loose ends! Enjoy your evening! freeatlast - glad that the arthritis has eased and you can craft again. I've caught up the high school album and will tackle DD11's GS album next - hoping to get it caught up as well.

Happy New Year everyone- it’s already the1st here. Unusually for me I actually went out to a friend’s place last night where a group of us enjoyed a great BBQ meal and played Pictionary - something else I haven’t done for ages.
Might do some scrapping this afternoon but also want to get into the garden for a couple of hours this morning as we have several days of rain forecast this week.

I'm working on a LO that I've been working on for over a month now hahaha. It just sits here and I do a little when I get time. I deceided to do a lot of hand stitching on this one, so it's been time consuming! I keep telling myself I'm going to pull out that dipped pen calligraphy set I got A YEAR AGO, but it still hasn't happened.

I need to work on PL, but I'm just not motivated to right now. I did finish my Advent project the other day and another travelers' notebook project I've had going. 2017 wasn't the best year ever because we've been struggling with some mental health issues my oldest DD has been having and I just can't put on the "look at my happy family" face I need to work on it. If I tried to journal, I'd end up being brutally honest and saying things no one but me really needs to read and that's best kept for my art journaling, not our family albums.

I'm getting in the shower, then putting on my pajamas to scrapbook.
I pretty much abandoned scrapping in December, so I am excited!

I was going to scrap all evening since my husband has been sleeping all day, figured the day was wasted anyways. But we just found our dog dead. Kind of of blew the wind out of my sails.

We have tentative plans but with it being so cold (-33 C) we are thinking about cancelling and just hanging out. If that happens I'll be in my scrapbooking room. 😁

Thank you linda I'm still in a state of shock. We knew she wasn't acting right for about two weeks. I made my husband an ornament of her paw print because I just had this feeling that this was her last Christmas with us.

Sorry for your family's loss julie5. Our day just kept getting side-tracked by the kid's plans and running with them. We ran to the store early since it sounded like we would be able to eat together, but ended up it would just be me and DH so we are saving the food for tomorrow. Just got to my craft room since we decided we didn't feel like movies or games with just the 2 of us and knowing one kid has friends stopping over closer to midnight. Now I'm not feeling much mojo to start a project. Ho-hum, haven't had this mellow of a NYE in at least 20 years!

julie5 I am so sorry for your loss. So had to lose a pet. I got my new Cricut Maker up and running, I used it to cut 2 bowl cozies and sewed them up for my DH. No paper crafting today but I may still do some tonight. Just the kiddos and DH and hanging out having pizza and snacks.
