..........but President Trump will always fight for the American people,” White House spokesman Raj Shah said. And HIS family were not immigrants (whatever generation)? hahahahahahaha. He can be american but he can't hide his Indian Ancestry. Where are they hiring these people from? SO now an Indian-American is DT's spokesman and that should make us feel better about what the dumbtwit said?

Since Trump and many of his followers call themselves Christians, and believe they are bringing Christian values back to our country, can someone point me to the verse in the Bible where Jesus says to the poor, sick, and needy that they should go back to the sh*tholes they came from?

I believe this is called hedging. I find it hard to believe in a small group of people, one of whom is the president of the US, that they don’t “recall” something the president said. ABC News.. “JUST IN: Sens. Cotton, Perdue on immigration meeting: "We do not recall the President saying these comments specifically but what he did call out was the imbalance in our current immigration system." abcn.ws/2FvjWVm” well, if they can't remember for sure something that out-of-the-ordinary happening in the OVAL OFFICE, just YESTERDAY, then maybe THEY aren't mentally competent to do THEIR JOBS, either!?! (I know his answer was complete and utter bullshit, but if that's the way they want to play it...)

To know the heart of Jesus would be to know that he was pretty much the polar opposite of Trump and his Troglodytes. I'm not sure how 'Christian' Trump supporters can practice cognitive dissonance and think Jesus would be cool with this dumpster fire of an administration.

I know that true practicing Christians are very cognizant of how anti-Christian is much of what comes out of Trump’s mouth. I would love to see more of the GOP Congresspeople who tout themselves as fighting for Christian values to officially and publicly speak out against the closest thing to the Anti-Christ that I have seen in our country.

It would be nice if radio and talk shows would stop giving her air time.

Hatch wants 'detailed explanation' on Trump's 's---hole' comments BY JESSE BYRNES - 01/11/18 06:41 PM EST Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) said Thursday night that he wanted a "detailed explanation" from the White House about President Trump's reported comments about accepting immigrants from "shithole countries.""I look forward to getting a more detailed explanation regarding the President’s comments. Part of what makes America so special is that we welcome the best and brightest in the world, regardless of their country of origin," Hatch said in a tweet from his office. HATCH: “I look forward to getting a more detailed explanation regarding the President’s comments. Part of what makes America so special is that we welcome the best and brightest in the world, regardless of their country of origin.” #utpol
— Senator Hatch Office (@senorrinhatch) January 11, 2018 Hatch is the senior most Republican to call on Trump to explain his comments from an Oval Office meeting Thursday with lawmakers discussing protections for immigrants from several countries, which were first reported by The Washington Post and confirmed by multiple other outlets. Despicable. And what if they ARE from struggling countries? (Or circumstances? I know my grandparents all thought Ireland was pretty sh!tty because they were hungry and poor.) I had to memorize the inscription on the Statue of Liberty when I was young and I still remember the words: "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free. The wretched refuse of your teeming shores. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed, to me. I lift my lamp beside the golden door.” Aside from the fact that what he said was a shameful disgrace, this is what the United States of America was built on. I have been avoiding politics, I don’t watch tv and skip political threads. When I saw the thread title I was shocked and saddened that one of the peas would say such a thing. After discovering the president was the one who said it, I kind of wish it was a pea instead. Of course I wish NOBODY had voiced such a hateful thing.

This has GOT to be the final straw. Surely he can't remain in office after this? Hahaha! You are forgetting who controls congress. As long as I have been aware of politics, the last fifty years, I have never seen a republican representative do anything remotely good for this country. They will get rid of trump as soon as they are finished using him. He is a great distraction from what they are doing while trump shames our country. My only hope is that republicans are screwing themselves in the process. He will remain and drag us all down with him.

I just saw a photo from today of Trump signing a proclamation for MLK Jr day. I think it could have made quite an impact if those invited refused to attend. Or, showed up and then refused to enter the room with him but be available to the press to tell them why they made that decision.

Very few of us don't have an immigrant past. Oh and remember trump family Always claimed Sweden, but was really Germany did 't want to be associated with Nazi and Hitler. Funny isn't it, with his present behavior!!! I actually ironically live in a state that only 100 years ago was 79% immigrant/children of immigrants. And interestingly the highest proportion of immigrants from Europe were Norwegian. Not so much anymore, I bet. Today I had to decide between renewing my Green Card for another 10 years, or filing for Citizenship. After a lot of consideration, I couldn't in all conscience choose citizenship, as long as that man is in the White House. So... renewal it was, even though it will cost me more in the long run.

Totally understandable, given the unfortunate state of affairs right now. It was actually quite a hard decision to come to, and not just for monetary reasons. This country has been really good to me and I love it almost as much as my home country, and it would have been truly an honor to be a citizen. But I just don't feel that way at the moment with all this asinine discussion about immigration. I felt like taking that kind of step at this time, would in some way be condoning the shit show in the White House. Call it my protesting line in the sand, I guess. I live in a red state, so my vote unfortunately will likely not make much of a difference anyways. If I thought it would, that would have weighed more in my decision.

You mean children born to parents with Norwegian passports? Because I find that highly doubtful, considering the annual emigration to the US seems to be less than 1.000 persons. If you are talking about babies who have Norwegian ancestors, then yes, that is possible since only Ireland had more emigrants per capita than Norway. No it's the total number of Norwegian born immigrants currently living in the US - I pulled it from: www.migrationpolicy.org/programs/data-hub/charts/immigrants-countries-birth-over-timeBut students shouldn't be included in that list. They are only there for a limited time. The same goes for military personnel on training, people working there for a short time for multinational companies (including spouses and children). In 2016, only 502 Norwegians emigrated to the US (and 895 Americans immigrated here).

No it's the total number of Norwegian born immigrants currently living in the US - I pulled it from: www.migrationpolicy.org/programs/data-hub/charts/immigrants-countries-birth-over-timeBecause of the oil there are several international oil companies doing business in Norway and hiring Norwegian engineers. It's very common for Norwegians to be stationed in other countries for 1-5 years. My cousin just came back after 5 years in Houston where her husband worked for Conocophillips. Their youngest was born i the U.S. One of my neighbours worked in Quatar for 3 years. Another lived in Singapore for a year. I had the offer to work in Vietnam. The number is probably correct, but most of those immigrants are in the country because of work and with little intention of staying permanently.
