Walmart sells tote bags that fold out into a stiff "box" with handles. They are near the register at our store. I think they're around $3-$4.

I use reusable grocery bags to separate things in my freezer. I love it because along with keeping things separated, they are easy to lift out if I need to. However-they are very floppy, especially if they aren't full. Which makes it hard to put things in them one-handed (which is how I usually am, it seems). Is there a stiffer bag that would work for freezer organization? I use the reuseable bags like you, but I put thin cardboard along the sides to keep them standing up. I used the thin cardboard that ca me in my CM scrapbook page protectors, actually! It doesn't take up much room, and after looking all over for a better solution, I really like it.

I get these collapsible but sturdy reusable shopping bags at walmart. They aren't plastic so they won't crack when frozen. Might help. They don't sell them with regular merchandise. They're usually by the registers with other reusable bags. They do cost a little bit more, but they last a long, long time. This looks really nice. We just have cardboard boxes in the bottom of our chest freezer but I may have to look for these.

use reusable grocery bags to separate things in my freezer. Freeza Sista! I do that too! LOL I have started using the collapsible totes that Just Lizzy posted about. Mine are very similar, but I got them at my small town grocery store. Same type of bag though. They have a heavier bottom part that you push down and it keeps them square/open. When you are not using them, you pull that part up and they fold up. I have replaced all my grocery bags with these also. They are awesome. Great for hauling lunches out to the field too. I have one for my "single and looking" sock collection.. They are good for all sorts of things! I've got a hog getting ready for the freezer, so I am trying to have it organized and ready for some pork. Belly bust - so it was free!
