My first thought was Tracie Claiborne is probably so pissed about this announcement! Haha The only thing that would be better is if they announce Tiffany will be a recurring guest. Imagine me laughing like Homer's boss, Mr. Burns, right now. http://instagram.com/p/Bd9E6D-FfJb

Don't know anything about this new person. I would love another scrapping podcast! I miss Paperclipping. I don't listen to Tracie's. I am 'meh' about Pocket Life.
Off to check it out. If it could be scrapping w/o a big ol' dollop of personal religion, that would be SUPER.

I *do* wonder how Tracie feels about this. After all, didn't she have a big ol' girl crush on Andrea? SaveSave

mom yes I remember Tracie fawning all over Andrea (retrohipmama) and vice versa Glad we have an alternative to Tracie. I stopped listening to The Scrap Gals ages ago due to Tracie's nasty attitude. I've missed listening a creative scrapbook focused podcast.

I doubt she's upset about it. Andrea (retrohipmama) has been a guest host on The Scrap Gals podcast a few times and they announced that she would becoming a sort of fill-in/guest host this coming year as well. I'm sure Tracie knew about it beforehand. I'm guessing so anyway. Andrea seems nice enough but her IG feed full of her selfies are a real turn-off to me. Just seems a little self-indulgent. Just MHO.
There's also the new scrappy podcast called Crafty Ass Female with Amanda Zampelli and Kristin Tweedale. I tried listening to 3 different episodes and couldn't do it. Idk what it is but they're not for me.
On The Scrap Gals last episode Tracie also announced that she's done with her Living Inspired podcast if I caught that right.
I really enjoy Tiffany and wish she'd branch off on her own.

nicolep I feel the same way about the Crafty Ass Females. Amanda and Kristin seem super cool so I wanted to like it but I'm just not that intense about crafty anything.

THAT'S the perfect word to describe their podcast. All I could think of was the word 'dramatic'. They're discussions are just not me at all.

I'm sure you all know by now based on many of my posts that I'm not a prude in any way BUT that is a ridiculous and unprofessional name for a podcast IMHO

I wish there were more crafty podcasts. I do like Pocket Talk but it's not consistent enough and sometimes seems "flat" or forced- if that makes sense.
I'll try the Crafty Ass Females-I hadn't heard of that one- and give this new one a chance too.

I recently told her I was missing them and she said she's currently recording new ones.

It is becoming slightly less intense but the potty mouth is not something I am a big fan of. I am not a big prude either, but I save the "F" word for really big stuff, not just general conversation. I also don't do the specific type of scrapping that the two of them do, so it is not totally relevant to me.

Just read through the past few comments and got some massive dejavu. Are we sure we hadn't had a discussion like this before? This has been happening to me A LOT lately...maybe I missed my calling as a psychic. Hahaha!

I listened to the first 2 episodes, and I find them really annoying and uninteresting to listen to. Thank you for sharing, though. It was something new to try.

I'm so grateful you all mentioned these new podcasts. I've been tolerating Tracie (yes, throw the tomatoes at me) because there wasn't anyone else doing scrapbooking podcasts on a regular basis. I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. Yes, throughout it ALL. But the last time I listened to her she was talking about how she re-did her floors. Seriously?!! How can she rub that kind of stuff in everyone's faces? I'm done.
I have listened to 2 episodes of CAF and really like it so far. And though I'm not a fan of Retro Hip Momma, I find her voice very soothing so I'm hoping it's an informative non-religious podcast.

If they want to have the occasional bible journaling episode, I can easily skip those...but I’m not going to listen to a regularly religious scrapbook podcast. I’m 100% for Separation of Church and Scrap. 😉

I think it's dumb to announce your podcast and not have several episodes in the can ready to go already.
But I will give Andrea a chance.
Yesterday Tracie went on a rant in the fb group about having to delete a bunch posts that don't comply to the rules. She was adamant that no one advertise or talk about classes or retreats because it's disrespectful to Tracie and Tiffany. 🙄
Then they do a show about One Little Word, a class by Ali Edwards and Tiffany starts a thread about scrappy classes that people buy and never finish. 😱
I find it creepy that Tracie says "I'm so in love with jesus" and in the next breath talks all about how she wants to downsize everything to just be happy. That girl worships happiness like crazy. Like the most important thing in her world is her happiness. It's just gross.

I listened to the Hey Crafty Babes podcasts. I enjoyed all of them. I also enjoyed the blooper one, especially on You Tube. Nobody’s voice grates, no cackling, it sounded good considering they aren’t in the same location. I listened to a Scrap Gals when they used Skype for multiple locations and it was horrible. Whatever HCB is using sounds great. I don’t know how earth shattering the topics will be, but I’m on board to see how it shakes out.

I tried listening to Crafty Ass podcast and the audio isn’t that great. There were also two things that I picked up that got on my nerves. One of the hosts says “like” a lot I’m not one to usually criticize someone’s speaking, but she uses it to the point that it’s distracting to me. The second thing...I’m not sure if it’s feedback but I keep hearing what sounds like several metal bracelets clinking together while one of the women talk. I sure hope it’s feedback or an audio issue and not actually one of the women wearing bracelets or loud jewelry while recording a podcast.

Ha! I'm glad I'm not the only one. I was excited about the CAF podcast as I have followed both of them on social media for some time and I like a lot of things they make. However, after 4 episodes I couldn't continue.
The overuse of the work "like" was not only distracting but maddening lol. My 12 year old niece does not use that word so frequently. I don't like to criticize but it's just more proof to me that if you are going to speak for public consumption then please take a public speaking class. It's not easy and not everyone does it well.

The overuse of like, legit, and you know grates on my nerves on that podcast. And it sounds like I can hear every sound that one of the women's mouths makes. It's a little gross. I'm trying to give them a chance by listening to at least 5 podcasts, but it's difficult to get through them. I have to give the Hey Crafty Babes one a try.
