Interesting how this thread went off the rails. I thought freebird was just pointing out the irony of the entitled who will force a plane to land and inconvenience all the passengers in comparison to those who serve us in the military who put up with inconveniences every day that we take for granted. I've been around long enough to know based on who and how they responded that if this thread were started by a left leaning refugeepea it would have gone an entirely different way. I am a registered Republican, so nice try, but no.

Wanna bet? [bitch rant commencing] How come regular airlines don't have side seating like that?!? LOOK AT ALL THAT LEGROOM! My DH would LOVE to sit in one of those seats instead of the crappy ones standard airlines have. [/bitch rant over]

oh sheesh guys. Lighten the eff up. My original post was meant as a joke anyway. Recline, don't recline, I seriously don't care all that much and I think it's hilarious that this is probably one of our bigger sticking points here. lol. smh. I It Is a sticking point and not a joke when someone uses such strong language....

I don't understand the commotion about reclining seats. We have flown on lots of different airlines in the US and internationally. None of the seats I have sat in or sat behind ever reclined more than a few inches. Those few inches can help you keep your head from bobbing all over if you are lucky enough to fall asleep. The reclining person in front of me has never interfered with my drink or what I am reading. I have a hard time picturing what people get so upset about that a plane has to land early. Now that would piss me off.

Those few inches can help you keep your head from bobbing all over if you are lucky enough to fall asleep. I'm one that wishes the person in front of me wouldn't recline. It really depends on the plane, sometimes it bothers me and sometimes not. But Nancy makes a really good point about wanting to recline.
