RAIN day! I live in Arizona and so far we have set a record of the wettest day in history! There is a lot of flooding. Some school districts even cancelled school. I am enjoying the rain though. The weather is beautiful right now! It said 76 degrees in my car. Now that I can get use to. I just hope everyone is safe. We really needed the rain.

I was going to post this! There were over three inches of rain between midnight and 8 a.m. Insane!!! So many schools closed, then other schools had the kids come just to send them home early. Wow!

Gosh darn it, we here in Seattle are totally prepared for rain, we never shut down schools for rain, you should be better prepared, you are so ridiculous, blah blah.
Obviously kidding. Stay safe, and that is some crazy weather.

I have to fly home in it. I hope it won't be bad to get home from the airport. Our cousin is house sitting out dogs, he said the laundry room is starting to get water. It sometimes does a little with monsoons, but with this I'm worried we'll have a mess when we get home.

Nothing like a little wild weather to put starch in your shorts.

I just read about this. The absolutely rainiest storm I've ever experienced was in Arizona. It completely flooded the hospital where I was working that evening. The ceilings were caving in and water was pouring through them like waterfalls. The automatic doors in our ER wouldn't stay shut because the high water was triggering the sensors, and the water was rushing in in waves. It sounds like the same kind of deluge. Craziness in the desert. I hope people stay safe!

I was stuck in my car for 45 minutes until the rain wasn't falling so hard. Took me over 15 minutes to get through the moat that is currently surrounding the hospital. I am wet.

I am lucky that I don't have to drive in it. Some of my friends aren't so lucky. I heard they had to close down parts of the 60.

I was down in Sierra Vista, near the border, about nine years ago. It was the worst night of monsoon rain we had seen in our five years there. I can't believe the rivers and lakes on the Phoenix roads today though. Wow!

My DS's school is closed because the buses couldn't get through a lot of intersections.
Thank goodness I no longer commute on I-10 - right where all of the cars were floating this morning I would have been driving through to get to work.
Amazing amount of water in such a short period of time.

I am in Gilbert and a lot of the streets are closed but that is nothing compared to some areas. And we all know how well Arizonans drive in the rain.
