Hello Pokeys! Loving your creations, and all the love you are spreading on the board. I finished one page today. February '19 calendar page by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I had some extra time when I was done (had started it last night and finished this morning, and dh had gone out for coffee so I had the house to myself), but I just sat back and vegged. So I haven't scrapped--or done anything else productive--since about 9:30 this morning. I think I need to decide what set of photos I want to play with when Sunday's challenge comes up. And select some papers to go with them. Somehow I am always grabbing the latest and greatest, but some stories are being left untold and photos keep ending up at the bottom of the pile. Guess it is a good thing that some of the pix I am dying to scrap are on my iPhone and I need to go to a bigger town to print them properly. So that leaves me with the photos already on my counter. Maybe a couple of sets, b/c I don't know what colour combo lilacgal might have up her sleeve.... That way I won't have to make many decisions in the morning. I find it easier when in challenge mode to keep the decisions to a minimum, just grab, glue and go! Hope everyone is doing well. Waving to you all!

Hello to all you Pokeys, and especially to all you are aren't being very Pokey this month. I am trying to stay caught up with the 28-4-28, but the #9 grid/PL threw me. I have mostly just 4x6 photos and since I scrap 8.5x11, it's hard to do a grid without cutting them up more than I like. So...that one will probably go by the wayside, but I feel good about keeping up as much as I have. I am digging down deep into my pile of photos and that has been fun. kellyr21, is your ankle OK? I hope that the soreness is almost gone. scrapincin and grammadee, I will leave you love in the gallery. LisaDV, you are really getting a lot done as are @elaynef and msliz and maribeth. It's so much fun to see all the things you have scrapped. I am starting some cards for Card Club and hope they will fit one of the challenges before I finish them. Have a great weekend. I'll check in again the first part of the week.

Hey, justjac, I just came across lots of your layouts on the introductory thread for freestyle. Great job keeping up with LOAD and still getting some posted here. I can't believe all the layouts that are being created. I have never done this many layouts in such a short time. It has been fun using up lots of paper. I have to dump the two wastebaskets in my scraproom every other day! I'm just glad no one can see my scraproom. What a disaster. I am running out of room in my last album, so will have to go get some new ones before the month is over. I hope the other Pokeys involved in this are having as much fun as I am.

Thanks for the badge, scrapincin! Glad you are enjoying yourself, nylene. Glad to see you conquered your fear of the Pl style grid. LOVE that page you did! I am sure your scraproom is nowhere near the disaster area that mine is. But doing something creative every day and seeing what other people have created is invigorating for me. And keeping track of the scores keeps my left brain busy so it doesn't nag me about all the other stuff I "should" be doing I still have the photos I pulled out last night to play with tomorrow. They didn't work with the colour wheel theme today, so I grabbed something else. I want a 5x7 of one of them for one page, but I think I am going to use maribeth's trick of printing a place holder to stay there until I get the enlargement done. I was hoping to maybe try some foiling on tomorrow's pages, depending on the challenge. I tried using reactive ink with a stencil with my Minc today, and the results--while not perfect--have promise. Have an idea... Prob should write it down before I go to bed or it may be somewhere in the ether by the time I wake up!

grammadee when I saw that 89 pages were submitted today I was floored! Never did I dream that many would have been done. I would say that so for this challenge has been a total success. I may try making a badge in Paint 3D. I was playing around over there this evening. nylene I am so glad you successfully got your badge on the first try. That means my instructions were right on with Dee's help getting the code to work. I will be checking out your layout in the gallery. Waving hi to everyone I am getting off and may stay up to do another something as I am way behind

Here is my 2-page LO for #12. Got to play with my new Minc a bit. Tournament 2018 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr The larger photo of my dgd is a placeholder ala maribeth. It was taken by a professional photographer and emailed to me. I have it on my phone and want to get it printed at 5x7 next time I am at WM or the photo place. I think I will do a journaling tag to tuck behind it when I get it printed. A girls' tournament, although there are many similar experiences to a guys' tourney, is an experience all of its own. The girls sang and danced to the music while they were waiting to go onto the ice. In fact, my dgd and her younger sister sang The Hockey Song all weekend!

Happy almost Valentine's Day!!!! I have a card to make and I gotta get it going. LOL! We had a nice weekend. Did a little shopping. One store we went to is JC Penny's. I hadn't been there in forever until recently when my dh was looking for some things. It looked like the whole store was on clearance and going out of business. So on Sunday, I got to walk around more and see that the sales are everywhere. So, I guess this is how they are now having constant sales to compete. But I must admit, I can't wait to go back because I saw some cute blouses. LOL! Wow, you ladies are scrapping away in the current challenge. Go, go go! I have to get over the gallery and see your creations. nylene- My ankle thankfully is fine. I was surprised how quick it recovered. Hope you are feeling better and your dh too. Regarding your messy craft space, I say the messier the BETTER! That means to me you are having fun. Waving hi to you all and hope you have a nice evening and a sweet Valentine's Day!

Just popping in to say hi to the Pokeys. I've been having such a great time with the challenges this month, but I didn't get any crafting time today, so I'm a little cranky. I might play with my papers for a few minutes just to settle my brain before heading off to bed. nylene, I looked at my planner and saw that DD has an eye appointment this week, so of course I thought about your Steve. How's he doing this week? Any improvement?

Happy Valentines Day!!!
Good Morning! I am just going to say no matter how hard I try I can't seem to make it into doing my challenges. I am going to try to get caught up though. I have one more card to make-there are 6 birthdays in February. Today is my DS 's birthday and I made her a card and mailed it but forgot to take a pic of it. After she gets it I am going to have her take one and send it to me. I think it is one of the prettiest cards I have made. I still have to make Maggie's. Not much else going on here but need to get moving. BBL

nylene , I looked at my planner and saw that DD has an eye appointment this week, so of course I thought about your Steve. How's he doing this week? Any improvement? Thanks for asking, msliz, he is doing much better. He is back to driving with his normal restrictions. (No roads posted more than 40 mph, no night or rain driving) Basically he can drive to his favorite wood shop, Home Depot and anywhere around the neighborhood. I can't believe how free he feels. He was beginning to feel caged! You have really been turning out the layouts. I'm glad everyone is having a good time. I can't believe I am keeping up. Some pages I like better than others, but they are finished and in the album! kellyr21, I am glad your ankle is better and that you found some good sales at Penneys. That used to be my favorite place to shop, but they moved out of our mall and into the next town. I seldom get down there anymore. scrapincin, your Valentine's are so cute. You are very clever. Your grands must have loved them. Thanks for posting a big Happy Valentine's Day banner. I have been off celebrating Em's birthday today. She's our Valentine! LisaDV, thanks for the Valentine wishes. I'm glad all you 28-4-28 participants are having a great time. I think this is a real hit, grammadee. Now if I can just get caught up a bit on comments. It could take all of March to do that! LOL

Good Sunday morning, Pokeys! Glad your dh is doing better, nylene. That must have been very frustrating for him. I have been enjoying seeing all your pages for 28-4-28 in the Gallery. You are a powerhouse this month! It has been wonderful seeing so many of your pages, too, msliz. Also glad that the 28-4-28 challenges are not completely contrasting with your LOAD prompts, justjac. And glad everyone is having such FUN! Can't wait to see maribeth's creations after she comes home from her crop weekend. Don't feel stressed to "catch up", scrapincin! Just play along when you can, relax and have a good time. @elaynef, I was glad to see in another thread that your dd's health is improving. She must be comforted to know that you are there to help out. Don't forget to look after yourself as well as her. Tomorrow I will be leaving for a visit with my dd and family. Travelling Monday/Tuesday (redeye flight and driving on both ends of it) and then Friday/Saturday (arriving in Edmonton in the evening and staying the night at a hotel near the airport). But a full 3 days in the middle of it. Will have my ipad with me so will be able to check in, but no crafting for me for a week! Last time I took some card making supplies in case I had a few minutes, but that didn't happen , so this time I am not even going to pretend. Anyway, have a super Sunday and a wonderful week!

grammadee we will miss you while you are gone but have a great trip and enjoy your visit!Looking forward to your layouts when you get back. nylene- so glad to her that Steve is doing better! I know how devastated he would be to not drive or work in his woodshop You are rocking this challenge! I am enjoying everyone's creations. Hope all is well with you! elayne hope your DD feels better soon-I am sure with a little hel from her mom she will do very well! Took my DS for lunch today as her birthday. Can you believe the card I made her has never shown up and I never took a photo of it. She said she has been having trouble with her mail so she needs to call. I am so wanting to scrap but too lte for me My eyes will hardly stay open!

nylene, I'm so glad to hear that Steve is doing a bit better. I hope his eye sight continues to improve. @elaynef, I must have missed that your dd is sick. I hope she is healed/ing. After a week of not creating anything, I finally got a bit of time and created 2 digital pages over the weekend. Don is gone until late Sunday night and then turns around and leaves again next Tuesday, so I'm hoping for another some more time this week. I did do something scrap related last week though. I could claim it as cleaning time too, so that's a bonus. I usually display my pages after they're made in various spots, then they get stacked up. Since I don't scrap chronologically but keep my albums mainly chronological, it's a job that I put off longer than photo editing. ha. Last year, I went through and separated them all into the various album families and put away my ds and dd only pages. Last week, I finally started to put away the family album pages. They are the biggest stack. I put away layouts from 2010 to 2015. I am currently half way through 2016 and had to order more albums. It feels good to get them put away though. Well, I have got to get off of here and figure out my day.

Hi Pokeys, checking in. I'm finally starting to feel a little healthier, and since the temperatures are up into the 40sF here, I was able to walk for a mile this morning with a little bit of jogging in there for a few stretches. LisaDV , doesn't it feel great to get those pages put away? Did you have room for all your pages? Is it time to go shopping for more albums? scrapincin , so nice that you were able to go out with DS for her birthday lunch. Did you remember to take a photo of you together so you can scrap a page? Bummer about the card. I hope it shows up. grammadee , wishing you safe travels and a lovely time with DD! Waving hi to nylene , kellyr21 , @elaynef, justjac , and maribeth too I hope - it makes me so happy to see you on the boards again!

Hi, Pokeys! I didn't think I would ever get "scrapped out", but I think it hit me this weekend. I just couldn't get my brain to want to scrap anything. I finally completed one very simple layout, but I don't know how much I will get done the rest of the month. I admire those of you who can scrap a page a day!!! We finally got the snow that has missed us all winter. We got 12 inches on Sunday and a little skiff more last night. The kids were all so happy to have President's Day off so they could play in the snow. LisaDV , I'm glad you got your layouts put away. That sounds like quite a stack! @elaynef , I am glad your DD is improving and I hope and pray she will soon be back to being able to do what she wants. Hugs to both of you. scrapincin , it sounds like life has gotten in the way of scrapping. I hope you get to find the lost card and take a photo so we can see it. Your bleeding heart page brought tears to my eyes. Makes me miss my mom so much. msliz , you are really scrapping this month. It has been fun seeing your work. I'm sooooo behind on comments, but hope to catch up. I love your scrapping style! kellyr21 , I'm sure it's warmer at your home than here. The high this week is going to be 32. It is fun to see snow again, but it's too cold to enjoy. LOL Angie and family just returned from Anaheim where they took the kids to Disney. They get in free because Jon works for Pixar so they go every year in Feb. They said the weather was nice. So I hope you are enjoying the "nice" weather. I need to get some work done. I'll be back to chat later.

Happy Wednesday! It's been cold out here but no complaints. Just bundling up and staying warm. Ladies, I sent you all a message with pictures of my bedroom do over. I have enjoyed this room and still have a few more things to do in the rest of my home. Enjoy!
I see you all have been scrapping away and having fun. I sis do a card for my dh for Valentine's Day. It was fun to make and a special challenge since I was all out of double sided tape!!! LOL!

nylene- So GLAD to hear your dh is back to driving and seeing better. Awesome! Yes, it has gotten chilly out here but not as cold as where you are. Stay warm, my friend!
scrapincin- The post office can get stuff mixed up at times. How great that you got the card back. It turned out so pretty and I know she will love it. Great job!
grammadee- Have a good trip!
msliz- So glad you are feeling better. Has it warmed up where you are?

Hopefully they'll be here tomorrow, and I can finish 2016 and 2017. grammadee, I hope you're enjoying your trip.

Good job putting all those pages in albums, LisaDV ! I usually put pages into my books a day or two after each has been put together. But I am usually scrapping all one season at the same time. This month I have just been stacking the pages on the coffee table. Will have to deal with them when I get home. Oh no, nylene ! I hope we didn't burn you out this month! You have completed over 20 pages, right? No wonder you feel like you may need a break! Lovely bedroom, kellyr21 . Thanks for giving us a tour! Your valentine is very nice. That yellow flower is really stunning on your card, scrapincin . Glad you got it back if they couldn't deliver it. Just winding down after my second full day here. This evening the little guy and I had a date for supper at Subway while Mom and Dad were at a military function. . He paid and made sure everything was just right. He even offered to "ask the lady" for a beer for me! I am here until Saturday. Tomorrow is their school winter carnival, and I have permission to go and take photos.

Kelly 21 we all enjoyed your bedroom pics...inspiring us to step up our game and LOVE the Valentine.
Grammadee great to hear about your adventure with your family...makes me anxious to mix it up with mine. We are going to try to get to lubbock soon and see those guys. dh is anxious to pick up his upgraded slr that he is buying from dd and get some education on it from her as well as see a play at a theater we like near there.
Nylene we are all delighted to hear the good news about your dh
Scrapincin: too many birthdays in February. I'm not sure I'd be up for that. One of my dgs birthday is this week and I sent him a national park photography book and told him it was his birthday card. I usually send him a photo card anyway. He recently moved to arizona and is checking out all the beautiful places around there. I have 2 in march...I'm thinking to do something equally as lazy for them. I'm pretty sure they're mostly interested in the Check, though.
Msliz: sorry the bad germs got you...it takes a big Hunk out of scrapping days when you don't feel good, doesn't it? Lisadv justjac marybeth: happy weekend and blessings on you!
My dd is stable but we haven't made much progress with a diagnosis or treatment for her allergies and what ever it is that is making her sick. We have some appts with specialists lined up and are working on some others. She has been able to eat a very limited diet and a suppliment so she is getting adequate nutrition.
We have been iced in the last 2 days. Dsil and I ventured out to the grocery store yesterday and I enjoyed the beautiful rural winter scenes here 8 hours away from my west texas home. It is quite different. I hope to get some pics next time we go out.
We are discussing how and when I will get home...fly vs dh make a quick trip back. He is hiring someone to come clean house...I think he feels bad that he didn't ask our house guest who over stayed his welcome to leave earlier and doesn't want me to have to come home to that task.

@elaynef, I am glad your DD is doing well enough to be home. She is in my prayers for a good doctor who can diagnose and treat her and get her back on her feet. It sounds like your husband is missing you and is anxious to have you home, but to a clean house. He's a keeper! I hope your return home goes well without ice storms. scrapincin, I love that card and plan to scraplift it. I am trying to make a box of cards for my friend who is leaving for a mission for 18 months. She has about 28 grandchildren plus her 8 children so can use a lot of cards. She will love one like yours. grammadee, I don't know how you have been able to run this 28-4-28 while being away from home, but you have done it so well. It has been a lot of fun and I have made a big dent in my stack of photos. I finished today's prompt but it needs flowers or something. I can't believe I can't find something here in this scraproom, but I can't. I think I will stop at Pebbles or Michaels after school Monday to find something the right color. I have run out of adhesive, but otherwise everything has been from my hoard. Thanks again for doing this for all of us. I know it has been a lot of work for you. LisaDV, I hope you got your albums. I did have to stop at Costco to pick up more binders. (since I scrap 8.5x11) It has been fun to see what everyone creates with the same prompt. Hope things are well at your house. msliz, I hope you are all recovering at your house. I'm sorry it hit during this crop. Get lots of rest!! kellyr21, I am so impressed with your bedroom. I keep going back to the page to study it more. You have a real talent! Your Valentine to your husband is amazing. I love your album-cards. Great photos of the two of you. justjac, I am enjoying your layouts that fit both categories. I am trying to keep up with them in the gallery, because the threads have left me behind. Your layouts are always so original! I hope the rest of the weekend treats you all well and that next week will be great. We have snow, snow, snow, which is OK, but expect 3 more storms in the coming week. I'd love to just stay in all the time. No such luck!

Will try to go through your posts here and in the Gallery once I am at home. Flights were good, but it has been a long day with the two hour time change added in
