You could always unmount them and put them on cling foam. Once I go through all my sold stamps and decide which ones I want to keep, I’m going to seriously consider taking many of them off the blocks. I did that years ago. The stamps are so much easier to store and position. I use the cling foam and it works really well. I’d suggest some nonstick scissors if you decide to go that route because that stuff is very sticky. When you did yours did you index them in any way, or does it not really matter? I like the clear ones so much better because it’s easier to see where I’m putting the images and can see that they’re straight.

I used the Crafter’s Companion EZ mount cushion and store the stamps on their sheets. Since the stamp images are face up I don’t need to index them. I also like clear stamps better but I have a lot of rubber stamps from back in day when stamping was popular.

Some I’m just going to dump because I doubt I’ll ever use them again but the ones I still might use for something take up a lot of room. There are only a small percentage that I’ll leave on their mounts because the companies are long out of business (Stampa Barbara, etc.) and I want to display them in some way. They bring back special memories of trips with my friends, but a lot of the ones I’ll use could be unmounted to save space.

I jumped on ordering the TH traveling platform thinking that the asked for injunction last month to stop Tonic production might be granted. Now I am thinking there is probably plenty of time to decide on what is out there or wait for another company to come up with a new take on a stamping platform. I read today that the Misti lawsuit will not go to jury trial until December 2019. That’s a long ways away and a lot of new designs may be in the works.

I have the original MISTI, which works well but I wouldn't support the owner anymore, and the Tim Holtz platform, which I can't get to work well.
I've pre-ordered the Stampin' Up! one and am very excited for it - I like having two lids so I can keep multiple stamps in the same spot and alternate stamping with them.

i have the TH one and am very happy with it. I've never tried the Misti though, so it could be better. But I am happy with mine

I still prefer wood mounted rubber stamps. With the advent of stamp platforms and storage issues, I have been moving to unmounted rubber.

I played with the new SU platform last week at my crop and decided I don't need a platform. I don't really stamp using layers and I seem to be able to get a good stamp just the old fashioned way. It's not often I pass on something but this time I think I will.
