I heard it on the news on the radio, but wasn't listening closely. I was doing something else at the time so it really didn't register (like most political stuff lately!) I just wish it would wind down and get it over with so the country can move forward! Do you think if it concludes with no findings the country will move forward? I sadly think there will just be something else to investigate and there will continue to be different things to investigate while DT is president.
I wish and hope we can move forward but don't think we will
If it concludes with no findings, than I want to see repercussions to those who have pursued this unfounded behavior. I just want the meek Republicans to grow a pair and actual fight back for a change!

Unfortunately, you are probably right. The left hates the president so much they will holler until "something" is found so they can say "SEE?" I feel for our country and the divisions that have been created.

It should be led by Republicans, since this has been a direct attack against them. They will waste this opportunity - as they have wasted so very many before - if they allow the disheartened and fed up to take up the cause without them. I believe the day is coming. That pendulum is primed and just waiting to be set free to swing.

You would think they did not win the presidency and hold both houses! Hopefully we can get rid of few of them in the primaries.

I’d actually like to see them focus on reducing the debt not get on some vindictive goose chase. Right now they are wasting efforts in just giving the elites kickbacks and making the earth worse for our children. Not much conservative values being shown these days.

Its sounds like the end is near for Sen. McCain. CNN has an article that talks about where his funeral will be, who is to attend (not Trump). I knew he had cancer, but I didn't realize he was at this point already. Am I the last to know? I knew his cancer spread last year but I thought he was somewhat stable (though no cure). The article also talks about Cindy McCain taking her husbands spot. Thoughts on this? I would be completely fine with it, though I don't know her specific stance on policies for most issues. I think being married to McCain would surely have you in step with his political leanings.

I saw him on the news recently, and he said he was dying, but he looked the same as he's looked since his surgery last year. I know he's receiving medical treatment for his condition (someone said he was absent from DC because of ongoing medical treatments--but I don't remember who said it. Sorry he's so ill, but I don't think the republican party is going to miss him much. As for his wife, I don't know anything about her. Won't they just have an election to fill his place?

I guess in Arizona if he was to die before June 1 there would be a special election but if he were to die after June 1 then Az Republicans can appoint who they want. It’s going to be a possible tipping point in the Senate if there has to be an election and the Republicans lost. I disagee about Republicans not missing him. For many, he is closer to what people want in Washington (and the White House). Also if his seat is lost in a special election then the Republicans are in trouble (more than they already are) in getting anything done that they want accomplished.

Not because I’m a republican, but because I do want more compromise and more balance in the voices. I live in a very liberal area and I’m tired of all the other voices being squashed.

Maybe not the republican party of today, but I think the republican party will sorely miss him, and more to the point needs men like him. Where you see obstructionist, I see a man who has the spine to stick to his principles, even if I don't always agree with them. THAT is sorely lacking in the republican party today, unfortunately.

I hope he’s at peace and surrounded by loved ones. He devoted almost his entire life in service to our country, and love him, hate him, or something in between, you gotta have mad respect for that.
I think the Republican Party will miss him as his historical record falls very much in accordance with his party. I don’t much care for spousal appointments in such scenarios, but for such a possibly short term, I don’t know that it will matter much.

Devin Nunes will move to hold Jeff Sessions in contempt of Congress because requests for documents have repeatedly been ignored.
The judge in Virginia accused the Mueller team of being less than honest in their intentions in the Manafort case.
Another judge in NY denied Mueller's request to delay a Wednesday hearing regarding those 13 Russians indicted.
Stormy Daniels appeared on SNL.
It's been a busy few days!

I bet NOT!

So who broke the law? The giver or the receiver? I'd think it was the giver since the receiver really doesn't have a choice in what they receive. How much harder would it be for her to keep track of who/what she donates rather than the receiver having to keep track?
eta: should have kept reading.

everyone should be held to the same (whatever it is) standard You mean Rosie O'Donnell should be held to the same standard of crap that would rain down on her if she were an outspoken conservative and had overdonated? Now that's funny!

Now that's funny! Yeah, I do mean that. I wasn't speaking of the court of public opinion which tends to swing with, well, public opinion. That shouldn't matter with accountability of the rules, laws etc. I do think it's funny being that it is Rosie ODonnell who has been vilified and attacked by people on both sides of the political aisle (POTUS included) and the public in general (much brought on herself, some not) that you (general) think would have an upper hand at getting a pass. ETA after googling the "standard" for a simple (barring other shady variations) over donation is to issue a refund of the overage which seems to be common.

For those peeking: FTR, I'm not "fuming" about Rosie O'Donnell. I'm not even worked up about it. It does, however, seem simply bringing up a news story comes across as being persecuted now. Is there a reason some like to read here, and report back on the Trump Catch-All thread what's being discussed?

eh, it's just human nature. without taking the time to search, I think I recall the same was done on this thread about the other I don't recall if it was done here. Whether it was or wasn't, it's just so bizarre to openly talk about people without talking to them. As previously stated, this thread is for conservatives to talk without any talk back or discussion that doesn’t agree with the Conservative point of view. Hence it being discussed on the thread where everyone is welcome (whether they believe it or not). I am the one who mentioned reading it here first, I don’t know that Merge was talking about this thread specifically, she didn’t mention this thread in her post. I only mentioned this thread because it was where I read about it first. I didn’t post my opinion over here because it so clearly disagrees with yours and I am trying to be respectful of what this thread’s intentions are. Isn’t that what you want? Or do you not want anyone to even read over here if they aren’t Conservative? If we are allowed to read this thread where would you prefer us to post our dissenting opinion? Shall I start a thread called “Rebuttal to Conservative thread” or should we only read here if we promise not to discuss anything posted here? Do you see how silly this is? You don’t want us to disagree with you on this thread, and you don’t want us to post what we think on another thread.
