I am looking at getting one of these, and wondered how they perform on the more intricate dies? Like the memory box flowers for instance?
Thanks Sharon

I use my sidekick a lot for word dies and have not run into any issues. I've also used it with the Sizzix gears.

I have had my Sidekick for well over 10 years. The original red one. It works well for all my dies that fit it.. Now and then you do need to shim a die with a piece of cardstock.. but it is really not a big deal~

I would encourage you to get one of the full sized machines like the Big Shot. A Sidekick only fits dies up to 2 1/2" wide, which is really limiting. Most dies and embossing folders won't fit it. And I love the magnetic platform when using wafer thin dies, which doesn't fit the Sidekick. Having said that, a Big Shot does really well with wafer thin dies. Every now and then you will find one of the really intricate dies that doesn't cut cleanly, but I think this is more from an irregularity of the die rather than the machine. If that happens, I just shim the spot that isn't cutting well--either with card stock or packaging tape.
