A local stamp store is holding their flea market later this month. I'm trying to price a few bigger ticket items and my husband and I are disagreeing how I should price them mainly
36 Zig Clean Color Brush markers (24 pack + 10 I bought individually) I priced them at $45 the Mr suggested $36 Mini Misti basically brand new in box. (or should I sell it without the box so people can see it? I say $35 Mr suggested $30
Mostly I'm trying to downgrade my space and get my space into a usable amount of stuff. A lot of stuff I've priced at 50% off or more, but these two items are basically new and I'd like to get a good return. The store keeps 25% and I get paid out in cash. Mr says I should price them as a great deal to make sure I get something back vs getting the items I don't want back. My husband is probably right but would like to hear he is before I tell him he's right.
Thanks

i miss LSS flea markets. now that all the LSS around me have closed, i haven't been to one in years but they sure were fun to shop. i always got the best deals from them. i always saw stuff priced 50%-75% off of retail.

I used to run these sales and I have sold at plenty of them. People want the stuff as close to free as possible. You have to go less than a person could possibly get it with a store's best ever coupon. So like Michaels has on a rare occasion had 60% off. Even if it wasn't 60% off YOUR item it doesn't matter. You need to be at less than 60% if you don't want to bring it home.
I always priced my stuff so cheap that a person could not afford to walk away from it. Remember it's not new anymore unless it is sealed up and never ever been opened, and even then you have to be less than a store sale/coupon.
Zig brush markers I can't imagine you are going to get anywhere near $30 for them. Surprise me and let me know that someone did pay at least $30 for them. Leave the Misty thing in the box but you gotta bring your prices down. Forget about getting your money back or even making some money back. Sell it to clear out your space so price it to go.
I used to come home with all of my items sold, but I would spend the money I made on other people's stuff. I priced 75% to 80% off what I paid.

I say price them so they definitely will sell, and move on. No one wants to price something too high and then have to bring the items home because they didn't sell.

Do you want to sell them or keep them?

Could you try posting in Craigslist before the date of the sale? I have sold items through Kijiji which is like Craigslist.
