I was hoping for $10 mystery kits. Are these a thing this year? If not...I may only be buying from Elle's Studio. So far, everyone else hasn't really grabbed my attention. The Joann's online sale is absolutely pathetic.

I'm interested in seeing what's in the Class Kit grab bags. I passed on it for $15 as I had no clue what classes she taught and what was used. I took my chances with the stamp grab bag instead because if I do have it already in my stash I can just sell them one day if someone is looking for it or put it in my stash. I have a secret stash of duplicates to give to a very lucky local friend who wishes to memory keep one day. I don't have any friends who do this right now, but I am wishing!!!

I am super happy that she had the 3x4 letterpress cards available in a pack for such a reasonable price! I grabbed 2 sets because I just love them that much. I was bummed that this year the mystery kits were $12.50, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized that I usually only like her card color schemes 25% of the time, so I skipped those and got 3 stamp grab bags instead, as it's a better value and stamps are my true love.

I love her mini alphas and would have picked some up but but still have over 10 unused sheets each of the black, white, and grey. Last time they were on sale I ordered 15-20 of each color and I’m slowly making my way through them. I use them on almost every PL spread.

I purchased it along with the others I was interested in as I am sure we're no longer getting free holiday digitals as we received the free digitals in early November last year. |

How does the main kit look look this month? I just asked if I could switch out my TN sub to main. Not sure they can do it, but I am going to cancel as the pop up guests don’t fit my aesthetics ever. I sub for KP designs or someone whose aesthetics align a bit better with hers. Courtney Blair is just not for me. I would never use any of the kit—ever. It’s hard to waste money on something you cannot use. I’d rather just buy what I want full price when I want it. So, canceling KP sub as well. I guess I won’t have any subs in the new year and will shop my stash and by not so monthly selections + sales on sites only.

I decided that I had to have the Cookie Club kit last night as I was falling asleep. It was already 12:15 am Central and I thought I was too late, but the Black Friday items were still available. I bought the kit, but forgot to use the 20% off subscriber code. Ugh! I'm pretty sure I remembered to put the note to bundle with my sub, so at least my shipping will be refunded (I hope).
That kit isn't available today, so I'm glad I bought it. It would have been nice to pay $16 for it instead of $20 though. I have got to stop shopping while surfing before bedtime. I had to turn off Amazon 1-click shopping for that reason.

I really love the main kit and 3 of the stamps. However, I am really upset with the information KP's customer service rep Laura gave me. I asked if I could switch to the main kit as Kelly seems to always design that and I no longer wanted to take the risk with the TN kit as the sneaks are horrible. This month's TN kit is soo far from the KP modern, clean aesthetic. I personally cannot use anything from the kit. Also, I have fulfilled my subscription commitment.
Laura stated, "thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately no, you are not able to switch kit subscriptions at this time. If you'd like to start receiving the regular monthly kit you'll need to start a new subscription and cancel your Traveler's Notebook subscription...Per the terms of the subscription, we do request that you notify us by the 15th of each month if you'd like to cancel to avoid being charged & receiving the upcoming kit."
Well, I fulfilled my commitment and I just want to cancel and basically I am being refused the option of cancelling because it is not before the 15th. I didn't see a TN sneak before 11/15 at all. How was I to know that it would not even work for me at all. I don't understand why I couldn't just switch as I have no commitment to the membership since I've fulfilled it.
I will not be forced to pay for anything that I do not want and was clear on that. They can just ship all of my Black Friday things without bundling as I am not paying for that kit.
Either I am a grinch or subscription programs just don't work for me personally. I'm cutting all ties with all subscription programs for memory keeping. In all honesty, I just want to unfollow all the brands and never buy from them again. Just grab a few collections from the big name brands here and there only.

The issue I have is that there are no sneaks before the cut-off date to know if you'll like the kit. I've never heard of Courtney Blair or had a TN kit with her designs. So, I wasn't expecting a pop-up designer at the end. Had I known I was signing up for a membership that would completely skew from Kelly's aesthetics I would not sign up. Yes, LLP style is different, but it's not a vintage look and has modern elements. I just don't like the design aesthetic. I didn't ask for anything free, I would be paying more for the main kit than my TN sub. I understand their position, I just don't understand how they can fairly support it with the way the company decides to not be customer centered. If a member has until the 15th to cancel, tell your members who is designing the kits, show proper sneaks that state which kit it is before the deadline. As well, if the deadline is the 15th then stick to that. It shouldn't matter if someone asks on the 17th, 18th, or 27th--it's after the 15th. So, a switch can be done, when they feel inclined to do it. It's not a matter of sticking to the rules. It's fine in the end. Laura cancelled my sub, so I don't have to have those issues any longer. I can pay full-price for what I want to intentionally add to my collection. Thanks so much for the advice earlier. |
