Does anyone remember if Warm & Cozy had sold out? I really thought it'd been taken away when the holiday release section was no longer on her website but that it hadn't sold out. It was on my purchase list so I was expecting it to make a comeback.
Looks like KP may be holding back some stuff for a larger clearance/spring sale in April, right?

That would be fantastic if she released supplies. Especially since I'm thinking this will be our new normal for the next 6 to 9 months, and that's scary enough to say out loud. I hope it isn't like this for 6-9 months!! I was one of 4 candidates interviewed in person for a job on the 12th, and I was told they were hoping to have the person start by mid April. I checked the organization's website, and they are holding off on all hires, except for mission-critical ones already in the final stages, until May 15th. I can't wait much longer than that! Fingers crossed for you, mich5481. This is such a delicate position to be in. Alas, unless everyone goes into shelter in place type of lockdown, this pandemic is just going to keep stretching out. We need to keep everyone in the West confined at home ASAP, halt everything to stop the spread completely and allow for the economy to restart in 2 months' time, like China did. But not many people in power are listening...

@northrigg I too imagine this will last at least 6-9 months. It's too dire of a situation. I didn't buy anything either pancakes. I definitely don't need anything and my way of spending money has already changed. Erring on the side of caution I guess.

Thanks for letting me know! She didn't put on clearance any of Warm & Cozy held back for lost/damaged parcels, however, right? There should be 10 or so kits still lying around (like the LLP You're Magic Halloween kit that was sold out but returned in super limited quantity today). At least, that's what I'm secretly hoping.

I didn’t get anything...I think I actually have all that I really want/need from her already. 😧 Hey, that's a good position to be in! No need to spend, you have it all. It's the crafty equivalent of not needing to worry about TP right now... I did get the Weekend Project Kit and the July Traveler’s notebook kit, some stamps, some wonky alphas, and a label sheet, so I guess I got bumped to the next shipping tier. Whoops! Sounds like a really good order! The wonky alphas are so cheap right now so you probably got a great deal on those. Tagging Skellinton who, I believe, also loves the wonky alphas. Overall very happy with the fact that I got all the alpha stamps I wanted to close out my KP stamp collection and I so hope that she makes something for the pandemic! That's a really neat collection to have! Glad you managed to get the missing alpha stamps. That would be fantastic if she released supplies. Especially since I'm thinking this will be our new normal for the next 6 to 9 months, and that's scary enough to say out loud. She mentioned she was trying to get it set up with her manufacturers but the lack of materials might delay it. Here's to hoping! Nobody does current events scrappy stuff like Kelly. That's really where she shines. Thanks for thinking of me, I managed to get an order in before I headed to get groceries this morning! I do love me some wonky alphas!

Although your video is making it super hard to believe it grows on trees like I like to pretend! I also found flour and yeast, it was a good day. And I think that other then dropping groceries off for my mom and nephew I won’t need to go out for 2 weeks, which I am super relieved about. Hope everyone else is finding what they need, I can’t imagine trying to feed a family right now. How are you doing in your quarantine ? I always heard you lucky French (with your croissants, colored toilet paper and non embarrassing President) typically shop several times a week, is that true? Are you able to get groceries relatively easily?

It was sold out almost immediately when the run on food started. I was chatting with someone, from a safe distance, at target who had been to 6 stores and couldn’t find it. I tried ordering all the brands with my pick up order and didn’t get any. I was going to turn back all but one, but they were all sold out. I haven’t been into many stores, and I certainly wasn’t going to wander from store to store to find it, but I was looking for its. When I found it I told the person who showed me where it was how excited I was because it was so hard to find. He said I was the 5th person to tell him that this morning, and the store had only been open a bit over an hour. Lest you think I am a nitwit, the yeast was in a ziplock bag as it was Bobs Red Mill brand, I have only seen it in the 3 packs or jars before. That is why I needed help to find it.

No, seriously, these little victories become such big part of the everyday experience when essentials are selling out left and right. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) Sorry, that gif is just a lie. Deep fakes and all that jazz, you know how technology is these days! There are totally chicken bushes. I am used to stopping by a local inner city supermarket like Monoprix every other day. That habit's gone now. Very odd. Our way of life is to pick up the fresh fruit and veg several times a week. It's a neat way to know what's in season, what's good right now and to consume it extra fresh. I never have vegetables in the fridge for more than a few days, usually. "Oh, the spring asparagus looks so fresh, let's have a bunch for tonight." "Looks like they had to harvest a lot of those dark heirloom tomatoes yesterday, let's make something with them tomorrow!" That's how we live, that's how I think about groceries. No car also means you've got to carry your stuff back on your shoulder so of course, there's no such thing as a big shop. You grab what you need for the next 48-72h and you go. It feels extremely bizarre to no longer do that. We're trying to limit exposure as much as possible so we're doing pick-up: you've got to be online at midnight to find an available time slot for 7 days later. Then when you pick your order, loads of items are missing and couldn't be substituted. Add in the fact we have an under-the-counter fridge and we're literally rationing fresh food right now. We are thinking: 1 piece of brie each today, then we can have another in 72h, oh and let's crack open a tin of sardines with the pasta tonight so we don't touch the chicken thighs just yet. My SO has asked me several times already if he can have an apple sauce or if he should wait a day to stretch out what we have. AND NO MORE FRESH BREAD. That's been hard to break. But I'm my mother and stepdad's little helper (and only helper) so I can't afford to take any extra risks.

AND NO MORE FRESH BREAD. That's been hard to break. But I'm my mother and stepdad's little helper (and only helper) so I can't afford to take any extra risks. When my mom's family moved to the US in the 1950s she quickly learned to make her own bread because all that was available here was Wonder bread (pain de mie.) The funniest part about the story is she saw Julia Child making it on TV and said, "If she can do it, I can do it!" My Bonne Maman's bread was so good! My mom made our bread growing up too, but used whole wheat flour and didn't bother to get it crusty. I can make it too but the kids and I have gluten sensitivities so that's a whole other baking world I have only dabbled in.

I’m an adult who LOVES applesauce, especially if it’s in the fridge and cold. But yes, I’m an anomaly and mostly kids eat it. I don’t buy it anymore because I will just cup after cup — so then I’d buy the jars. And those only lasted me a few days 😂

I am quite certain if I lived in France I would eat it twice a day and would go through DTs if my supply were suddenly cut off. Stay healthy and safe, mon ami!! Right now, you get what you can get. Applesauce was ordered in different format (cups, pouches, jars) but they only had the jars in stock when they filled our order. So, we have a huge jar of applesauce in the fridge now. I'm happy I thought of it because we only got 4 oranges and 2 bananas filled in our previous order. 13 days, 2 people, 4 oranges and 2 bananas. I do think applesauce is more widespread among all ages in France. Compote isn't seen an item for children only here. We often make it when apples are super cheap in autumn. You can find loads of fancy versions in the store as well (when it's not coronavirus season). However, it looks like everyone else is trying to get their hands on some extra right now, particularly the no added sugars varieties. It seems mad to me that we are struggling to get fresh fruit and veg: people can't stock up on those, can they now? Why buy so much fresh fruit and veg all of a sudden? I get that families are now feeding their children lunch too and nobody's going out to eat but most French folks cook daily so it shouldn't make this much of a difference... *sigh* ghislaine We're ready to make our Dutch oven pain de campagne as soon as they will fulfill our flour and yeast order. We keep ordering them and not finding the items when we pick up our goods, alas. Turns out the power of thinking is merde because no matter how often I think of fresh bread, I can't seem to manifest the ingredients! I'm definitely not complaining. We're not going hungry. But we are rationing everything: fruit, veg, protein, sliced bread, chocolate and even applesauce. C'est la vie right now... Anybody hoping for a KP freebie like a Covid-19 digital card set? I've been thinking that someone should make a "the great indoors" stamp set, too. I'd love to have a quirky take on the outdoors/adventure sayings for staying in.

Honestly I cycle thru periods of hiding out at home 3-4 times a year normally so I’d like to see that anyway. Too many of the sets have to do with weekends ( and I have several ) but I could envision an indoor set both pro indoors & being done with it.

mich5481 I know how you feel... I think this is hitting extra hard for anyone who was in a transition phase, such as trying to start a new job. We're building a new house and it was supposed to be done in a couple of weeks but we're hitting so many delays with this and it's going to start costing us pretty substantially (e.g. interest rate only held for a certain length of time, current lease already set to expire, etc.). I also have a friend with a wedding scheduled in less than 2 months and she's worried she's going to have to postpone... and her fiancé is from South Korea and his whole family was scheduled to fly over. I really hope this whole thing blows over sooner rather than later... it's a huge financial hit (and emotional!) for so many people. As far as KP coming out with new products... I think the pressure of HAVING to create a kit every month really got to her. I think it would work well for her to keep her shop open with sporadic releases and no monthly kit deadlines... that way she can continue making products when she feels like it without the burn out. Ideally, though, she would outsource her shipping/customer service (hello Inked?). I think her working on her own PL is a product of her feeling relieved that she doesn't have a monthly release to keep up with anymore. Fingers crossed we continue seeing releases from her!

mich5481 I know how you feel... This, 100%.

I would love it if KP did annual Christmas and travel releases, and then did releases that spoke to her. I think working without a set release schedule is ideal for her, and it would allow her creativity to shine. I hope kellypurkey reads this!

It's hard to be creative and feel inspired when you have to hit an obligatory deadline.

I'd love irregular KP releases. But I'm not sure how sustainable this model is without recurring subscription money on her side of things. But would love it, absolutely love it. Anybody taken a look at the state of the shop right now? Wow. So much is gone. Cannot believe Around the Table is still available. I'd have thought she had more food enthusiasts among her customers! ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/rofl.png)

I found out I didn't get the job.
At least I have new KP supplies to look forward to.

mich5481 I'm sorry... I'm sure something else will turn up soon! I came here to share that I got a $4 refund from KP shop, I'm assuming because the shipping was $8.50 and should've been $4.50. Just wanted to share for those of you that were questioning the high shipping cost mrsshampoo not sure who else was wondering about it...

ghislaine We're ready to make our Dutch oven pain de campagne as soon as they will fulfill our flour and yeast order. I just went to a couple of stores to stock up for myself and my parents. There wasn't a bit of wheat flour to be found. The closest I found was spelt (l'épeautre) but I'm not sure my mom wants to start experimenting! There were plenty of gluten free options though! ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/rofl.png) I'd love to see a KP freebie for Covid-19. I haven't started documenting it as I've been pulled in a number of directions between the volunteer work I do, figuring out how to make distance learning work for my elementary school age children, concern for elderly parents, and making sure everyone is fed and has sufficient toilet paper!

I paid $8.50 for shipping. With my luck, it is probably missing half of what I ordered, so I guess I will wait and see what I end up with before questioning it. My other KP order was resolved. She did hold back a Disney Swag bag or two, so I received it and the other missing Disney stamp set this week. While adorable, that Swag Bag was overpriced for what it contained.
