Ewhhh that would definitely be a kick in the pants for LLP if KP went that direction. LLP left to design with Kelly and then Kelly ends up back at SC. Really truly hope not.

I wonder if Tina will be included in KP's new documenting venture. A lot of her designs were available during the clearance sale...

My second order has been fulfilled and is sitting in pre-shipment. Looks like everything I ordered made it in the box.
Crossing fingers for the first (large) order now.

I wonder if KP is exploring a new type of shop, where the business logistics are handled by an ecommerce experienced company, but KP is the figurehead and she curates a rotating list of designers.
For example, she might be partnered with scrapbook.com or a big store like Scrapbook Generation, where it's like "Scrapbook.com presents Kelly Purkey and friends". KP would have her own landing page on their site, and would be responsible for the creative side, but the other company would deal with manufacturing, order fulfillment, and other logistics.

Salomée's designs are gorgeous. The colours are *chef's kiss* but I don't think I can justify another order from KP this month. I'm up to $30 in shipping from her shop for July. I think this is it for me.

I think this is it for me. I’m loving those colors, too. My scrapbooking output is basically nonexistent these days. So I’m having a hard time justifying new product as well. I wish this had come out with the summer swag bag release.

Did y'all see where KP is having something another pre-order this Friday, featuring Salomée, a Black artist from Switzerland (her insta is @chromae.s ). www.instagram.com/chromae.s/Yes and loved the bundle so much and purchased it! If not for the newsletter I wouldn't have known about it as I haven't been on my memory keeping account in awhile. Salomée isn't Black though, I believe she's Peruvian and Algerian (Berber) and created the work as an ally for BLM. I cannot wait to receive the work. I wonder if she'll be one of many designers that KP will have in the new shop.

It's a shame I hit the budget I set for myself last week with KP's clearance. I missed the entire clearance and swag bag which is very unusual for me, when you’re not looking at crafting routinely you tend to forget and spend less in the process—a great thing but bad when you really wanted a great sale! I hope you got some great things!

I loved her work, at the same though.

I just got my summer swag bag and everything is beautiful! But... then I realized.. the cards ARE NOT 3x4!!! They are 3 1/4 x 4 1/4!! Sometimes KPs cards need a slight trim, but 1/4 of an inch!? That's a lot! Lots of the beautiful designs will be lost!!!

Two of my three orders will arrive Monday. My biggest order with the unicorns is in preshipment. I had asked straight away after ordering if the three could be combined, but when they each shipped individually (and in reverse order), I figured oh well. I knew that was a risk, and one I was willing to take. But after my last order shipped I got a refund for that whole ship fee - $8.50. I feel terrible because that means she’s eating that cost. I don’t want her to do that. ☹️

I purchased the bundle as well. $52 is pricey; But when I think of how much money I have spent on companies who do not respect my please in the community and needs for diversity, It’s a small price to pay. When a vendor supplies a “Specialty” product like this, I feel compelled to purchase in order to support the business and the artist. For me, It’s a tangible way to “put my money where my mouth is”. Perhaps one day these items will not be seen as specialty... Until that comes I am making an effort to support diverse businesses before leaving brands that have shown that they do not respect diversity. PEOPLE OF COLOR Are in all shades and ethnicities. As a Black woman, I am making a concerted effort to not label by depth of color or origin of parts. It’s a new concept even for me. As I try to Educate/share my stories with others; I am becoming better educated and aware as a result.

Therefore, I re-stated that. I understand cultural nuances also exist within every community. Black is a culture and she does not identify with the diaspora. I know it's hard when so many people see melanin to attach it to Blackness and it is okay to have melanin and not self-identify as Black either.

I am the one who said she was Black. I did not base this on what she looked like. I thought Kelly had partnered with her as a way of highlighting Black artists. I did not understand she was an ally, only. Kelly said in the original Insta post about this release that '...@chromae.s to see whats she's creating & giving back to other Black artists in the community.' Other is what led me to believe she was Black. I was wrong. I know that now.

Other is what led me to believe she was Black. I was wrong. I know that now. No, no apologies necessary at all. The designer is mixed with varied cultures as she stated, but she only self-identified with Peruvian and Algerian. So, a dialogue just happened between myself and another Black woman (we both self-identify) and she basically asserted that I shouldn't say the designer isn't Black because of I am assuming skin tone and nationalities. Which I agree with her 100%. However, I was stating I based it on the designer not self-identifying as Black. Black is a culture of the diaspora. There is an entire thing within the Black community based on cultural nuances such as colorism, passing etc. Therefore, if a person does not self-identify as being a part of the culture I do not assign Black to them. A drop of melanin and some people consider Black (culture) vs. having African (ethnicity not the nationality) ancestry in their genes. Algeria is nothern Africa and "Arabs," are a large majority, however historically Islamic people of "Arab" descent have a pretty dense history in Africa resulting in mixed lineage. Albeit, a lot of the people do not consider themselves a part of Black culture. That was just my point. It is okay to have melanin and not self-identify with the Black culture.

Of course I didn't read for that because these things sell out crazy fast so I just clicked buy ASAP and assumed they would be the standard size because there is no reason for them to be larger... especially when KP has always made her cards standard sized before. I went through and trimmed mine and they all pretty much trimmed down alright, it difficult trying to center things though. The only one I had a little trouble with was the one that said "forever summer" which is a shame because that was one of the stand out cards that made me need to buy the kit, but it's still useable... just the "R" at the end of forever got cut off a little too much that the shape isn't super clear... but of course you can still read it with context clues. Also the vellum cards pieces are the correct size, it was just the regular cardstock cards.

Good minds and all that...

Have gone back 3 or 4 times since I first saw them in the shop myself. Zut alors, they're beautiful. I *really* can't justify another order from her shop (and $15 in shipping, again) this month (but I want to).

Got my big order from the sale today. Missing one stamp that they noted on the shipping list they included (but not sure if that means they are sending it later?) and then missed the yoga themed stamp set, "On the Mat". I emailed the shop on the thread confirming the order.
The missing stamp set that they noted said, "Not Shipped" in the margins but what does that mean? Are they sold out or sending later? Are they giving me a refund?

I reached out in the thread when they sent the shipping confirmation. Anna sent me back a refund for the stamp they noted and then said she would get the On The Mat set shipped to me asap. If you all have a large order, double check it right away!
