Can we have an update thread?

About a year ago, a Pea posted that she and her child (daughter?) had escaped an abusive spouse and made it to Seattle (I think). I think the story had involved an all night drive. She had found a place to live. I often wonder how she is doing.

I may be wrong but I think her name was @me. She was in a bad situation and living with her cousin & cousin's family who kicked her out. I think she deactivated her pea account. I hope that she is getting back on her feet & doing well. Does anyone know?

Also the pea mom with the young adult daughter who was dating a man older than pea's dh & the dude's wife called the pea and a told the pea to keep her dd away from her dh. Any updates on that? I hope dd came to her senses & moved on.

I believe you mean Luvnlifelady who hasn't posted since April. The way I remember it, the "friend" was moving away for work. Next thing, hubby says he's leaving her and moves to a town conveniently closer to where his buddy moved to. 

Psoccer...police reports are open for public consumption (of course cases with juveniles have different rules. You can get a copy of the police case report (parts may be redacted) read it and make your own informed determination on what happened. There usually is a small fee.

Cause that story they are telling you sounds...hmmmm....made up with a spin.

The Pea who was having bad leg cramps in Hawaii. She thought they found the issue but the cramps came back I believe and she was in a lot of pain. (If you're reading this I hope you're doing well)

Another Pea who I don't believe made it over here but was active on the old board was Bostonheart she adopted twins and was kinda a shopaholic (her words I believe ...she made a post about how to not spend money I think once). I'm curious how her twins are.

Ashely. She left the board but I miss seeing her cakes she made and updates on her kids..I follow her on IG but she don't really post a lot and it's not updates.

Happymama. Her adult son had open heart surgery few years back. She was always a nice Pea but I don't see her posting on here. Hope you're doing well if you see this.

Thank you! I am doing ok. My son is doing very well health-wise since his surgery. He still lives far away in Montana but...he and his little family may be moving to Michigan! I'd love to have them here, my fingers are crossed. He joined the IBEW a couple of years ago so he works and goes to school but has put in for a transfer. It's SO hard not to tell anyone yet in real life!

I'm still married to my combat vet husband, but we haven't lived together since one year ago yesterday. I moved back into our little home in town and I'm as happy as can be. I got a crazy little puppy who makes me laugh every day. I'm still sick every day with these stupid migraines but they're much easier to manage since I retired a few years ago. I get to lay down in my dark, cool, quiet bedroom (puppy lays with me nicely!) and knock the pain down a few notches when it ratchets up. 

I spend my time doing jigsaw puzzles, listening to 70's music, and waiting for spring and my flowers. It was 14 degrees here today, so I have awhile to wait. 

Life is peaceful, if a bit boring. That will change if the kids move here, for sure. They'll stay with me until they can get a place and get on their feet a bit. It's so expensive where they live and he's only making apprentice wages at this point. She works but so much of it goes to daycare I can't even believe it. I can best help them if they're actually here. His dad's health is failing too so he'd like to live here because of that too. 

I read here a lot, but I don't have much intelligent to add, so I don't post a lot. As always, I enjoy learning so much from so many of you. 

So glad to hear you're doing mostly well. I'm sorry about the migraines..I can't even imagine living with them daily. *hugs* 

I do love my flowers and I know you do too! The only thing that looks cool this time of year is my Harry Lauder's Walking Stick. I peek out the window at it every day. 


This puppy has been my lifeline. She is 9 months old now and is a 5-pound ball of energy and silliness. My other dog is old and doesn't like to move off the couch much. Having this little one is like having a toddler. I can't turn my back on her for 5 minutes or she's into something. I find myself constantly trying to distract her but her attention span is not very long, for sure. Haha. 

I miss Ashley's input too but she was obviously pretty hurt by the way things went on her final thread. That's a big shame.

Bostonheart - I remember having a discussion about what a newborn baby actually 'needs' and I flippantly said that really, as long as they are fed, warm and loved they could sleep in a drawer, and a lot of the expensive baby equipment is unnecessary, as pretty as it is. She went off at me for that, saying how could I make my children sleep in a drawer   Odd.

I don't remember that at all Jockscrap. Some of you have great memories!
