Ugh totally not what I need right now! Anyone have any suggestions for a new printer that can handle up to an 8.5x11 ? I already have an Epson PM-400 but do need something that can handle bigger than 5x7.

Following. I am in the same boat and listening to the recent Pocket Talk podcast and hearing how Jessica Upton (Color Cast Designs) prints her photos for PL, I am dying for a wide format one!

I have an older Canon Pixma I really like. It can print basically any size up to letter or A4 paper. I do all my photos on it plus regular documents.

I love Canon Pixma printers. We have two in the house (DH has one in his office). They print great photos - especially with Canon paper, but I've used other brands as well.

I have a Canon that I use both Canon and Epson photo paper with. Love it.
ETA: my printer cost me £50 from Argos (electronics store) and I couldn’t be happier with it. You don’t have to spend mega bucks to get great results with Canon.

Any particular model to recommend? Canon or Epson...I'm willing to switch if needs be.

The model I have isn’t available anymore but there’s probably something similar. It’s the Pixma MG5250. I got it in 2010 I believe so it’s lasted pretty well.
