Ya know those cute little ones we all had to have? I feel like I just threw $100 of dried out paint. I even displayed the bottles for a long time cause they were pretty and colorful. Just sickening. But why hang on to them? Right!

So sorry you had to toss them.
I rarely use mine, but check them from time-to-time. Mine are still wet, so they aren't going anywhere yet.

I know the ones you are talking about. I've not opened mine in years. I hope they are still good. Sorry you had to toss yours, that totally bites.

I only had 5 or 6, but yes, the dried out, too. It didn't really matter, because I never used them!

Mine turned yellow and goopy! Oh crud. I'm pretty sure I'm doomed. Some of them, I used several times...other colors, I never even opened. This should clue me in to purchasing scrapbook supplies more frugally.

I threw mine out a while ago. They were all dried up and useless. I didn’t have too many. They sure were pretty though!

Yup. Mine went out last summer. It's made me think twice about buying paints/inks since.

I did that too. Was a sad day for sure. But it's a reminder to use stuff up

Is there any way to revitalize them after they dry out?

12 years ago I was a junior in high school and there was a boy a year ahead of me who I had the biggest crush on. He loved Batman and played the guitar and despite sitting at the same lunch table, I was too shy to say much at all to him. He knew I was crafty and asked if I had any yellow paint because he wanted to stencil a Batman logo on his guitar case. I went home, dug up my MM paint, and found him first thing the next morning to give it to him- not caring if I ever saw it again and not caring that my perfect rainbow of colors was ruined.

Is there any way to revitalize them after they dry out? Not if they are totally dried out.. but if they are getting thick you can add a few drops of distilled water and shake it up till you have the constancy that you like...

Is awesome. I could totally see junior in high school me doing the same thing. Middle-aged me...not so much.

I had to throw a few out because they dried out. I think I probably didn't close them right or something. A lot of them are still good surprisingly.

This makes me sad. I have a bunch of mixed media stuff that I am afraid is on the verge of drying up (if not already dried up). I worry about my Tim Holtz paint. I really must get using it. I should watch some videos and maybe make some tags or other embellishments that I can add to pages so that I get some mileage out of it. For me, I need to learn the lesson of buying the colours that I need, rather giving into temptation and buying the the whole set.

Just the other day, I was looking through my supplies. I have MM paints stored in one of the Jetmax drawers that has the dividers. I picked several up and shook them as the paint had separated. Upon shaking them, they looked as good as new - but there were a few that were dried out, too. Another thing I have to go through and clear out. H-m-m-m...our next painting project in my class is a gourd bowl with flowers and greenery. That may be a good project to use up some of those paints!

I never had the money back then to buy them. I settled on cheap ones from Walmart. That’s why even now, I refuse to buy a product now that “displays well”. I’m not out to have the cutest craft room. I’m out to have the cutest albums.

What year was this popular? I didn't get into scrapbooking until 2010 I'd say around 2003/2004, give or take a year or so. I didn't have mine long. They dried up, and I had to throw them away after using them maybe once or twice. They even changed the tops (after I had already bought a few), because customers were complaining that the paint dried out too quickly, and it was hard to get out of the bottles.

I bought a kit of theirs with halloween foam stamps and the paint. It was all on sale, but I when I got around to using it, they were all gloppy. I didn't like the foam stamps either so I purged them.

I think I tossed most of mine 3-5 years ago - I may have one or two left but it if they were dry I tossed them. I rarely use them but did like this brand as it seemed to cover so much better than the cheap ones from Walmart. I still have some Heidi Swapp paint in tubes and I think it is still good - Loved using it but haven't used it in a while - think I have used a bit on non paper projects about a year or to though

I bought mine when the foam stamp craze was going on. I never really got into that. I mostly used the paints to color some metal embellishments and a few pieces of chipboard. The paints dried up and I tossed them. On to funner things.

I think mine are dried up too. On the other hand I have bottles of americana and delta acrylic paints that are at least 2-3 times as old and they're fine.

I just threw mine out too! On Jan 31st I tidied my desk and had lots on a cake stand. I nearly kept that particular MM green and the lush red but they were so dried up in there so they went with all the others.
