So you acknowledge that the fact that there were WMDs is NOT a lie? Yes so what is your point? I mean we gave them to Iraq. Why don't you answer the question. What was the DIRECT threat that Iraq posed to the US? That was the point, thank you.

I know why it proves my point that Bush is responsible for the mess in Iraq.

Your question had nothing to do with what I was talking about. Those of us who support President Obama are often told we are denial because we don't believe everything we are told by those on the other side. Maybe. However what we here is a great example of tunnel vision.

He had old weapons that the US had given to Iraq, but Iraq was not actively developing any WMDs. The fact is they were there, and it wasn't a lie.President Bush said, "Saddam Hussein still has chemical and biological weapons, and is increasing his capabilities to make more. And he is moving ever closer to developing a nuclear weapon." Nobody is disputing that he had chemical weapons. The issue was that Iraq was developing more weapons and a nuclear program.

However what we here is a great example of tunnel vision. No, what we have here is staying on the point and not deflecting to something else.

And Pres. Bush himself admitted in the end that there were no weapons found. He did understand the point. They WERE found there though. It wasn't a lie that they were there. I personally have never called it a lie. I think they expected to find things (which makes it not a lie, despite what Republicans like to say about Democrats in other situations) because they wanted to believe. I think it was a huge, self-indulgent mistake that will harm this country for generations to come. I am aware you believe very differently.
