This week's word is animal. Some ideas - scrap a pet (past or present), scrap a wild animal or a farm or zoo trip, scrap your favourite animal (or someone else's favourite), or be inspired by animal prints or animal icons (llamas anyone?) or a quote from a poem or song about an animal...or put your own twist on it. Enjoy! I look forward to seeing what everyone does with this one

I am sure we will get some awesome creations. Hmmm... I just finished scrapping the dog photos I had. Will have to take a look at some older pic's.

What timing mikklynn ! Can't wait to see photos Here's mine. I was on FB this morning and saw some funny valentines cards for cats. One of them said something like this and I laughed because it's so my cat. He sits in this spot, on my craft desk, and we visit him. He acts like he hates you and wants you to leave. Then when you walk away, he'll look at you like come back, I love you! Little bugger. So I went for a massive title and pulled out lots of Thickers. The LO is straight IRL, I just can't ever photograph them straight! Thanks for the challenge linda

kiwigirl That is hysterical! I love your layout. None of my submissions have a straight photo, either.

You nailed it, kiwigirl! LOVE that big title: what it says and how you used all the different colours & fonts. The photo is perfect for the sentiment. And the page framing with the stripes and those Nuvo drops is dynamic and fun. I think you could make a bundle if you made this into a frame with a spot to put in the buyer's cat photo.

Here is my page for this prompt. For some reason the photo of the page did not come out very crisp. The journaling describes how this six year old dgs loves to go to the rodeo and help with the horses. After his mom's barrel racing run, he walks the horse to cool her down, takes her for water, and after her saddle is removed he rubs her down. I think the one photo shows how much Sugar--the horse--appreciates him. Rodeo stars 1 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I also have a facing page completed, which includes the title, but some elements have to dry on that before I can make the final attachments and then photograph it. No animals on that one, though, so it will end up as a FS or a S-T-R-E-T-C-H page.

I was sure I put a post here this morning, but I must not have hit reply! Scrapping is addling my brain! We aren't really pet people and I think I have scrapped every photo I have of my one grandson who has a dog. I knew I had lots of family Christmas Card photos I wanted to scrap and my niece has dogs, so I began to hunt. Sure enough, I found one and this layout just took a few minutes. Generally I make all my own titles and embellishments, but I had some that fit so I slapped them on. JOY by Nylene Budge, on Flickr Linda , this is a great challenge. Thank you for posting it and being a hostess. kiwigirl , that page is fabulous. Such a fun big title and so cute. I love the little kitty and hearts you added. Great page. grammadee , I love this sweet page. What a big help he is to his mother and it is obvious that he loves the horse and the horse loves him. I love your background paper. It has a bandana look to it, but more modern. Love the sentiment.

Grand-daughter's 4H chickens. I copied the chickens from something I saw on the internet. And if you're going to have chickens in a layout you need chicken wire, right? That was copied from a google image also.

stinkerbelle, your title is a hoot! I really thought you had put the hat on the kitty's head. But the ear rings are a dead giveaway gramma , I LOVE those chickens--both the ones your dgd is holding and those cute die cuts along the bottom! jeremysgirl , you have really rocked the colours on this one with the flowers and swirls. And I love those cute little cb kitties.

nearly a week late but I finally made a layout for my own challenge, sigh. Cookie season is keeping me way too busy (and so is college acceptance season - DD17 got accepted and now there's all sorts of paperwork and questions and ...)
one page layout - dark grey cardstock background, 4 photos - two on top have a wide strip of coral(orangy-pink) cardstock under them, lower two are matted with white and then the coral. I used cardstock stickers (stickerbilities) "naughty" "nice" and KI memories rub-ons "OR" for my centre title.
top photos - left has DH in the recliner with both of our senior kitties curled up on his lap (Midnight (black)and Oreo (black/white), right has our youngest kitty Smokey (grey) in DH's arms.
lower photos are both of Smokey playing in the Christmas paper and tissue and gift bags (after presents were unwrapped)

This is a total cop out, but I'm submitting it anyway because of the ceramic animal on the page. DD needed some cheering up after a breakup, so she went with a friend to one of those clay painting classes, and she painted a fish kiwigirl, your page is hilarious, but it's good design too - I love the arrangement of the Thickers you chose. grammadee, I love the paper you chose, and the twine wreath with the heart is a perfect embellishment. nylene, it's a beautiful page - I really like the green and white floral you use to set off the photo. stinkerbelle, thank you for your puns gramma, your border at the bottom is the cutest! jeremysgirl, your page is so sweet and girly patin, very cool - I really like the dogs in the lower right. woodysbetty, looks like a fun day! love the burlap Thickers. maribeth, you chose beautiful relaxing colors - nice. Linda, thank you so much for the word challenges. We don't have pets, and I'm trying to finish up my 2017 album, so I had work with what I had. I may have stretched it a litle, but that's part of the fun in it, I think.
