We're having ham and swiss impossible pie, spinach salad, and fruit. Not very exciting, but that's how I roll.

We had a team lunch at kinder today, so I am not really hungry for dinner. The DH of one of the team has a Thai takeout, so we had summer rolls and curry and it was all sooo yummy. I think I will just cook some pasta and stir through some pesto sauce.
I am so frustrated right now. I received an Amazon order this afternoon, with a part missing. They can't just send me that part, so I have to return for a refund (and reorder, I guess) BUT - somehow, all my order history (and wishlists, but they are not relevant here) is missing. This means they can't connect my return to the order! ARRRRRGGGGHHH. I really don't know what to do know - Maybe ring them in the morning and hope that a real person can help.

I grilled chicken breasts when I was using the grill for last night's dinner. I'll have DH and DS eat salad with grilled chicken, or in DS case just grilled chicken and probably yogurt because he doesn't love salad. I'm going to meet a friend for dinner.

ham and swiss impossible pie This sounds right up my alley. Is there a recipe you could share? Daughter is going to her mom's for the weekend, no school tomorrow so she is leaving right from school tonight. I have a hair appointment at 7:30pm. Dinner will be leftovers, nacho stuff! sueg - Have you done the chat with Amazon on your phone? I have done that a few times now with good results.

I tried email, and by the time they got back to me and I realised that my order history was missing, it was nearly 6pm. I know they are probably there 24/7, but I don't know if I will get someone who speaks English - this is Amazon.de - and I can't deal with this mess in a foreign language so late.

Chinese is sounding good tonight. I don't have to cook for us because it's Men's Night at the golf club and any night I don't have to cook is a win.

Tonight I am making grilled chicken and probably frozen fries. I have to make a fruit kabobs and veggie cups for the prom tomorrow night. I have developed a man cold. Guess I will be donning a mask and doctor gloves while I prepare.

For our dining pleasure this evening we will be enjoying food, again.....We will be leaving tomorrow morning and won't be back home until Monday night so we will eat whatever is in the fridge that won't keep.....I am not looking forward to a 500 mile trip one way tomorrow but it can't be helped, the grandchild is excited to be turning another year older and still likes us to be there, so off we go......
Happy Thursday Everybody!

Just back from grocery shopping, yet still I picked up some Chinese take out for DH on my way home. Plenty of food in the house, I just don't want to cook this evening. I'm still on my smoothie kick. Not only do I feel satisfied and full after drinking a smoothie, I've lost a pound this week. I eat a good breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack and then only have a smoothie for dinner. Anybody else ever notice that we basically post in the same order each day?! I'm guessing most of us are creatures of habit. My routine is to get home from school and eat my snack while I Pea. Honestly, I look forward to it every afternoon. Speaking of posting every day...hoping lucyg is enjoying time with her sister. I'm also missing miominmio and hope all is well with her.

sueg, I'm so sorry. Apparently I got the yin to your yang from Amazon. They delivered my kitchen rug yesterday. I ordered a 2x3 and that's what they charged me for. They delivered a 4x6. I haven't unwrapped it. I am used to a small rug in front of my sink. I am debating whether to keep this one or send it back. So tell me peas...do you think a large rug in a kitchen is weird? I want shrimp pasta for dinner. I'm sure DS is going to say steak. The debate will be on when I get home. I went to crochet night last night. But then I came home and my kitchen is still completely disassembled. Tonight I'm going home to work on it. DH said leave the cabinet doors and he will rehang them tomorrow. My light fixture came and I got the shelves I needed. He promised me he would take care of all of it tomorrow night for me. I haven't heard back on my vinyl cut. Do you think it would be pushy to contact the seller and inquire about it?

Drip beef sandwiches with smoked sirloin and sharp white cheddar and a little creamy horseradish and of course au jous. Also some broccoli cole slaw and sweet potato fries. I seriously love drip beef. It’s a problem.

The Birdhouse Lady, hope you feel much better very soon. @teddysmom, you're under a lot of stress. Grief is exhausting. If you're too tired then don't cook. jeremysgirl, I think a big rug would look odd. Jmho.

We've got baseball at 6:30, but DS needs to be there by 6 so dinner is going to be breakfast burritos and fruit.

Thanks for asking. Got home late Tuesday night, still feeling a bit jet lagged and out of it. I had to go get milk first thing yesterday, and the chuck roast was on sale, so I picked some up and put Italian beef in the Ninja pot this morning. Pretty soon I'll make mashed potatoes and some kind of steamed veggie, and we can eat. I also picked up a giant chicken breast yesterday, and baked that last night along with a sheet pan full of cut-up sweet potato, white potato, broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots. Easy and so good. Now I want to go back and get more cauliflower. It was also on sale super cheap.

I hope it's not a man cold

A recipe popped up on my FB feed during the day so when DD rang to ask what she should cook for dinner I sent her the link: Marian Grasby's Sweet & Sticky Honey Chicken. It was lovely. (This is the picture from the website, not the one DD made. Although hers looked just as good!)

We're having ham and swiss impossible pie, spinach salad, and fruit. Not very exciting, but that's how I roll. I love impossible pie! Story: My great aunt used to make this. Like everything else, we had to make believe that it was a top gourmet experience that she was the only one able to create. My mother made it once and served it to her. It was the last time we saw impossible pie.
