Washington PostWashington Post.... “Who’s to blame for the hiccup in North Korea talks? South Koreans say Bolton.”
From the article.. “SEOUL — President Trump is blaming Kim Jong Un for changing the scope of their summit talks planned for next month and will doubtless air his frustrations when he meets with South Korean President Moon Jae-in in Washington Tuesday. But in South Korea, many say the blame for the sudden problems in the diplomatic process lie squarely at the feet of someone else: John Bolton. “There are several land mines on the way to the summit between North Korea and the U.S.,” said Chung Dong-Young, who served as Unification Minister during the last progressive administration and is now a lawmaker. “One of those land mines just exploded: John Bolton,” Chung told YTN Radio. Woo Sang-ho, a lawmaker in Moon’s ruling Democratic Party, agreed. “Bolton’s preposterous ‘Libya solution’ is a red light in North Korea’s summit talks with the U.S. and South Korea,” he wrote in a Facebook post.” Why aren’t I surprised.

He's on another twitter meltdown today....I read Mueller has said the investigation will be complete bySeptember....he is panicking!! But THIS....just...wow. First Trump says Obama interferes with everything, then blames Obama for everything..now he claims This...yep..he is unhinged.. I don't understand what he is referring to. Where was Obama when? Do you remember what source said it would be done by September? The only thing I've seen was a 'threat' by Guiliani saying it needed to be done by then, but I just saw that in passing on a gossipy source so I have no confidence in it.

Supreme Court Rules That Companies Can Require Workers to Accept Individual Arbitration linkThe Supreme Court ruled 5 to 4 Monday that companies may require workers to accept individual arbitration for wage and other workplace disputes rather than banding together in collective actions. The case was considered the most important business case of the term, and could affect as many as 25 million contracts. The ruling extends the Supreme Court’s decisions that make room for corporations to require that wage disputes, and probably other actions such as job-discrimination claims, be handled through arbitration, rather than litigation. Justice Neil M. Gorsuch, writing for the conservative majority, posed the question presented by the case: Should employers be allowed to insist that disputes be handled in one-on-one arbitration, or should employees always be permitted to bring their claims in class or collective actions? “As a matter of policy these questions are surely debatable,” Gorsuch wrote. “But as a matter of law the answer is clear. In the Federal Arbitration Act, Congress has instructed federal courts to enforce arbitration agreements according to their terms — including terms providing for individualized proceedings.” Gorsuch was joined by Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and Justices Anthony M. Kennedy, Clarence Thomas and Samuel A. Alito Jr. Workers had contended that another federal law, the National Labor Relations Act, makes illegal any contract that denies employees the right to engage in “concerted activities” for the purpose of “mutual aid and protection.” That means that some sort of collective action cannot be prohibited, the workers say. That was the thrust of a forceful dissent from Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who underlined her objections by reading part of her dissent from the bench. “The court today holds enforceable this arm-twisted, take-it-or-leave-it contracts — including the provisions requiring employees to litigate wage and hours claims only one-by-one,” she said. “Federal labor law does not countenance such isolation of employees.” Trying to arbitrate such claims individually would be too expensive to be worth it, she wrote, and “the risks of employer retaliation would likely dissuade most workers from seeking redress alone.” She was joined by Justices Stephen G. Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan. The advocacy in the case was changed by the political turnover in Washington. The National Labor Relations Board, an independent government agency, agreed with the workers. But after President Trump took office in 2017, the Justice Department switched sides, and filed a brief siding with the companies. The combined cases are EPIC Systems Corp. v. Lewis, Ernst & Young v. Morris and NLRB v. Murphy Oil.

The Hill....
“Watchdog to fault FBI's review of Clinton emails before election: report”
A not-yet-public Justice Department inspector general report criticizes the FBI for not acting quickly enough to review Hillary Clinton's emails ahead of the 2016 election, according to The Associated Press.
Then-FBI Director James Comey announced just weeks before Election Day that he was reopening the investigation into Clinton after emails were found on a laptop belonging to former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.). His wife, Huma Abedin, was a top Clinton aide.
Many Clinton supporters maintain that the announcement cost Clinton the election. Comey announced two days before the vote that the agency would not recommend criminal charges against her.
The report, which will be released next month, according to the AP, will fault Comey and other top FBI officials for not acting more quickly on reviewing the emails. Some officials reportedly knew weeks earlier about the emails, but delayed obtaining a warrant to investigate them.
The inspector general report on the Clinton emails, which is also expected to criticize the two FBI agents who exchanged anti-Trump text messages, is the result of an investigation launched in early 2017, according to the AP.
The news of the report comes a time when President Trump is alleging that the FBI was actively working against his campaign in 2016. It would appear just the opposite.
The Justice Department announced Sunday that it has asked the inspector general to probe Trump's claims. Trump is meeting Monday afternoon with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray.”
Per FiveThirtyEight’s average polls, when Comey publicly announced the email investigation was possibly reopening, Hillary’s poll numbers tanked. They started to climb but it was too close to the election.
And yet nothing was said about the investigation into the trump campaign by the FBI. And the Republican leadership refused to issue a bipartisan statement about Russia meddling in the elections. Isn’t that nice.

Because of bullshit like this. Insisting he was talking about ALL immigrants when it's undeniable he was speaking about MS-13. That he was speaking directly to Margaret Simms' comment on MS-13. Don't repeatedly do this kind of bullshit and it won't repeatedly need to be "back-splained" over and over again.
repeatedly was referring to possibly but not necessarily this particular time he spoke (calling people "animals" and who exactly he was referring to thus leaving that part up for debate) but his general lack of clear communication skills. but okay then I stand corrected. He is a clear speaker that never backtracks, contradicts himself or is reinterpreted/explained by his staff when people are both sides of the aisle don't understand/aren't quite clear what he is talking about. Bestest speaker ever, whose words (he has the best words!) and their meanings are never unclear making them easily misconstrued. ETA I apologize in advance if I initially did not make myself clear. School shootings is the one thing that gets me really shook and passionate and my comments were made in one of those times. Good thing it's on a random message board where my words don't have great power like say someone like an elected official who is (supposed to be) speaking for and to a huge amount of people that their words can have a great effect, good or bad.

linkThe Hill... “ Pair sought big contracts from Gulf princes in exchange for access to Trump: report”
“Two American businessmen sought to leverage access to President Trump while angling for lucrative contracts from two Gulf countries wanting to shift U.S. foreign policy against Qatar, The Associated Press reported Monday. GOP fundraiser Elliott Broidy and businessman George Nader reportedly worked to catch the president's ear by passing along praise from the princes of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Broidy and Nader, who marketed themselves as having a back channel to the Oval Office, sought million-dollar contracts with the two Gulf countries for their efforts, according to the AP investigation, which included dozens of interviews as well as the review of hundreds of pages of leaked emails between the two men. The New York Times reported earlier this year that Broidy and Nader had worked to push Emirati and Saudi interests in the White House to take a hard-line stance on Iran and Qatar. According to the AP, this new tranche of emails further reveals their "ambitious, secretive lobbying effort to isolate Qatar and undermine the Pentagon's longstanding relationship with the Gulf country."The newswire had previously reported that Broidy and Nader sought to pass an anti-Qatar bill through Congress, while trying to hide their money trail related to such efforts. Chris Clark, one of Broidy's lawyers, pushed back on the AP report, saying it "is based on fraudulent and fabricated documents obtained from entities with a known agenda to harm Mr. Broidy." "To be clear, Mr. Nader is a U.S. citizen, and there is no evidence suggesting that he directed Mr. Broidy's actions, let alone that he did so on behalf of a foreign entity," Clark told the AP. Broidy and his wife had filed a lawsuit in late March alleging the Qatari government has carried out a sophisticated disinformation campaign that aimed to tarnish his reputation. They did this, he argued, by hacking into his email accounts, stealing his data and then maliciously leaking the information to the press. Some of the information passed on to the media outlets was forged, he said. Nader's lawyer, Kathryn Ruemmler, declined the AP's request for comment. A senior Saudi official, however, confirmed to the newswire that the government had discussions with Nader, but never signed any contracts with either Nader or Broidy. The report comes amid scrutiny about contacts between Trump associates and Qatari officials during the 2016 presidential election. Trump's longtime personal attorney, Michael Cohen, offered Qatari government officials access to the president in exchange for at least $1 million, The Washington Post reported last week. The proposed arrangement came shortly around the time Qatari officials visited Trump Tower to meet with Trump's then-national security adviser Michael Flynn. Nader is now reportedly cooperating with special counsel Robert Mueller's team of investigators, who are said to be examining foreign influence inside the Trump White House.”

PoliticoFrom Politico... “Too inconvenient’: Trump goes rogue on phone security“From the article.. “President Donald Trump uses a White House cellphone that isn’t equipped with sophisticated security features designed to shield his communications, according to two senior administration officials – a departure from the practice of his predecessors that potentially exposes him to hacking or surveillance. The president, who relies on cellphones to reach his friends and millions of Twitter followers, has rebuffed staff efforts to strengthen security around his phone use, according to the administration officials.” Edward-Isaac Dovere... “Hillary Clinton said she used one device that had both her private and State email on one unsecured server out of convenience. Donald Trump uses two devices interchangeably, and they’re both unsecured, frightening experts - via @elianayjohnson” Chris Lu.... “When I traveled to China during Obama Admin., I was given strict instructions about cell phone use and potential for calls to be intercepted. When I returned to US, security officials destroyed the phone. Trump isn't following even basic safeguards that all WH staff must follow.” Dan Pfeiffer... “Here's the President allowing adversaries to listen into his calls because he can't be bothered to protect the nation's secrets. Can anyone make a real argument for why this isn't a bigger deal than Hillary's emails? (You can't)” This has been reported before. We also know on his “executive time” when not watching cable tv he is yakking to his friends on his cell, for convenience. Forget the fact we don’t know what information he is sharing with his friends, now we find out he is using an unsecured phone. One could say he’s putting our national security at risk. Maybe even say he is “extremely careless”. But hey since he is a Republican it’s ok.

This from the Hill...
“Fox Business host claims Obama used FBI, CIA and IRS to try to "take down" Trump hill.cm/s5GS01f”
And this from trump...
“The Wall Street Journal asks, “WHERE IN THE WORLD WAS BARACK OBAMA?” A very good question!”
Was, as trump said, reactions to an opinion piece by James Freeman in the WSJ
In this opinion piece, once again, is an attempt to lay any investigations of the trump campaign at President Obama’s feet.
Problem was until the end of October it was generally accepted Hillary would win the election. The investigations of the trump campaigns started in the summer of 2016.
Why, if the investigations started that summer and if it’s was assumed Hillary would win, why would President Obama direct any agency to “take down” trump?

“Whoa... DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen told @mkraju moments ago that she is "not aware" of the US intelligence community's conclusion that PUTIN specifically tried to help TRUMP win. Here's the very clear-cut assessment from the DNI, FBI, CIA and NSA released in January 2017.”
I wonder if this will be the strategy of the trump administration is to try and pretend it never happened? Or maybe she is just plain dumb, which I doubt.
In anycase it’s troubling.

“BREAKING: Trump says Singapore summit with North Korea's Kim Jong Un `may not work out for June 12,' suggests potential delay.”
Gee why am I not surprised. Don’t get me wrong I would love to see a deal with North Korea. However trump was/is too eager and these things take time, a lot of time. And unfortunately trump doesn’t have the attention span for anything that is a slog.

It supposedly has Air Force 1 on one side, and Trump's and Kim Jong-un's profiles on the other side. so... if the summit doesn't go forward, what will they do with those coins? Sell them on eBay? Send them to some country across the world, like they do with the losing team's tee-shirts after the Superbowl or the World Series?? I just want to give Trump a shout out! I am SURE conservative talk radio is not talking about the Iran deal, but somehow making this about Hilary or Obama.
