scrapincin, hurray for finishing PT!!! I just got back from so. IL where my bff’s dd graduated high school. Don has been on home/kid duty since Thursday. I hope to get Donna’s pages made and sent by Wednesday, and just caught up around the house this week. Being sick before leaving and then leaving dad in charge is like quadruple the work instead of just double. 🤣 After that maybe I can catch up on this thread. Hope everyone is well

Merry Monday, Pokeys! Glad you got to go to the grad, LisaDV . Hope you were feeling well enough to enjoy it! And I hope everyone in your house is now back in tip top health! How are you doing today, scrapincin ? I hope the meds are doing their thing and helping you feel better. How was your weekend getaway, justjac? I see you have been keeping up with your LO a Day using digital. I am amazed how you can do such cool pages like that on your phone! I have been busy dealing with appliance issues. On Friday our upright freezer which has been acting weird for almost a year, decided it had had enough and quit for good. I went appliance shopping, but no one had anything in the right size in stock, so we ended up ordering one. While it will be delivered, it can't be arranged for at least a couple of weeks. I have other freezers, but since we stored the beef from a whole animal in there a week or so ago, there is no room for anything extra. We managed to move some of the meat to dh's sister's place, and save some of the containers from the upright in that freezer. But that still left a lot of stuff left to be dealt with. I have been emptying and washing batches of containers, some contents going into pails for the dogs to eat over the next week or so and some directly into the garbage disposal unit. Oh yeah, and the dumpster we usually have emptied once per month was not done in April because of spring flooding, so there is no room in there for extra garbage, either. We have also been eating food from that freezer the last few days. It has not completely thawed as yet, so still well preserved. I think tomorrow will be the last day of emptying. After that it needs to be washed out. I can pull it away from the wall and wash the floor under it as well, and then all will be ready for the new appliance to arrive: whenever THAT will be!

All the meds made me sick so I stayed home from church. i got up to get a drink of water and passed out, getting 2 black eyes, a broken toe and a broken wrist. They set the wrist Sunday, reset it today and are hoping i can avoid surgery. of course this time it's my left and i'm left handed. i won't be on the thread for a while. Some people will do anything to avoid Mothers Day! i can read somr thru broken glasses but at the moment i am pretty miserable. sorry for the downer post. I am so clutzy.

Next layout...feeling a little out of sync with my scrapping since the trip...hoping my creative juices get just a bit stronger, but happy to be moving forward!! We really did love the quiet times on the top of the boat...the cloudy & cool weather gave us the entire top deck to ourselves most days...

It reminds me of your pages - elegant and full of detail without being overpowering, just beautiful. A lovely cake it is, LisaDV . Happy Birthday, nylene , if that is possible today. Hope that after setting the wrist is a little less painful, but I remember that it takes awhile before a broken bone gives you some peace. And woodysbetty that is a lovely page. I really like the way the photo block is framed by that dark paper.

So on my way. woodysbetty love your layout I really like that background paper with the clocks. All those canals. nylene in case you get to see this I am praying you have a rapid recovery. kellyr21 Well i hope the Cavs do better this weekend as you know right they are down by2. The Tribe has been having a bad time with the bullpen messing up. Waving a big Hello to everyone. BBL!

Good Wednesday evening, Pokeys! Glad you got the positive words from your doctor, scrapincin. Please keep looking after yourself. I hope you are beginning to feel a bit better, nylene, and that you are letting others help you. I know how frustrating it can be not to be able to do things yourself. Hoping you are taking this time to rest and recouperate. Loving your cruise pages, woodysbetty. Great look at Amsterdam. Love that you included so many photos. They look really good framed in the square and against that heritage style background. How are your art projects coming, kellyr21? Any more sales? I have been doing a lot of cleaning and sorting, though not in my scraproom. I have the upright freezer emptied and scrubbed, and all the emptied containers wasjed. sorted, and matched with lids. Cleaned out and reorganized a couple of kitchen cupboards while I was at it. Also got the recycling organized to haul to the bottle depot later this week. Had time for one quick page this morning. Basically copied a page I found on Pinterest. You are always asking about the weather here, and I think these two photos my ddil sent me say it best. One day the boys were in shorts and sandals; the next they were in toques and parkas. In spring, we just never know what we will be getting... Springtime in Alberta by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

My goodness nylene! I wish you a speedy recovery. scrapincin I’m glad to hear your doctors are happy. grammadee you’re so prolific right now! Great work. I love the triangles. woodysbetty beautiful pages! We had a wonderful whirlwind trip to Vancouver. We arrived late afternoon Friday. The concert wasn’t until 8, so we got tickets on the hop on hop off tourist bus to see as much as we could. Our hotel had a wonderful Italian restaurant and was only a block from the concert. It was an amazing show. I can never get over how Pink can sing while performing the acrobatics she does. We flew home early Sunday, and I’ve been feeling pretty tired this week. I’ve been keeping up with my layout a day and sharing them in the May challenge threads. It’s raining here today, so I skipped my walk. Have a wonderful day. Waving hi to kellyr21 LisaDV @elaynef msliz

Hi Pokeys, just checking in. I've been without power since Tuesday night when 4 mini tornadoes blew through our little state. Hopefully it'll be restored by tomorrow. nylene, what an awful way to spend a birthday. I hope you're doing better today. And scrapincin, I'm so glad to read that your doing so well! I'll have the chance to get to the library later today so I can use their wifi and check out the gallery. Weekend is almost here - Hugs to all!

Wonder if anyone else does this...wanted to keep going but was struggling choosing pics for layouts so I did the last pocket first... I jump all over when doing an album, so doing the last page before I am done with the others is very likely to happen. Love your triangular pocket page. Great place to tuck in all the travel info you have collected. Glad you are scrapping all this while the memories are still fresh, and you are doing an awesome job! msliz I hope your power is restored soon. Any other damage from the storms? I have all the recycling from a month's cleaning in the basement loaded in my vehicle and plan on doing a drive to the recycle centre with a side trip to the greenhouse to pick up a couple of flower pots. So leaving with junk and returning with beauty! Before I leave I may organize a two page LO I have planned in my head. Will be stopping by the print shop to get a couple of pics from my phone printed to use on the second page. Have a good day, Pokeys! And please stay healthy and safe!

We were very lucky, but the neighbor just 2 houses over has a tree that crashed down onto the roof. grammadee , good for you with all your spring cleaning! woodysbetty , your "Dutchisms" make such fun journalling - and I love your photos. A trip like that is such a wonderful opportunity. He was so smart to grab that trip up for you! justjac, I caught one of her concerts on tv once and I was really impressed by her performances (on stage and in the air!) Can't wait to see your layouts!

Thinking of you today, Pokeys. We are in the middle of a long weekend, here. But since all the kids are busy with their families, this is just like any other day at the farm. Is the US holiday this weekend or next? Is this the wedding weekend, @elaynef? Hoping all goes well and you have a delightful weekend with family, whether it is this weekend or next. Wondering how you are doing a week after your fall, nylene. Hoping pain from your wrist and foot have eased up a bit. And hoping your family is able to coddle you for a change. Did you get your new glasses yet? And how is your health doing, scrapincin? Hoping you are getting healthier every day. hoping life is "back to normal" for you, msliz. Did I miss it or is your dd back home from college yet? Loving your pages, woodysbetty and justjac. I finished another one today. It didn't fit any of the May challenges, so I made up a new challenge for it. brothers rule by Gramma Dee, on Flickr It is warm here this weekend. Dh has worked up the garden, so we plan to seed most of the vegetables tomorrow. This is a little later than some years, but we kind of keep May 24th as the latest date to seed and still be able to harvest in good time, so we are right in the ball park. Okay, time for me to retreat to the basement where I am still going through boxes of stuff I thought was important enough to keep 30 years ago, but not important enough to unpack. As I do unpack it now, much of it is headed to recycling, charity garage sales, or, sadly, the dump. My biggest find was a whole box of photo albums that cover about 4 years of our lives. Now THAT was worth digging for! TTYL!

Happy Monday! We had a nice weekend. I went to my dh's job picnic. There were tons of folks there with their families all having a great time. They even had carnival rides there. My only complaint was it was cooooollllddd!!! LOL! Our weather was cool and we missed the warmth we had last year. But that was minor compared to all the fun and good food we had. It was nice too hearing some of my dh's boss and others tell me what a good job he is doing. #proudwife Did you all watch some of the royal wedding? I watched the Lifetime movie on Friday night. It was good. They on Saturday I got up at 5am and jumped right into it all. Even my dh who wasn't that interested at first watched. LOL! The bride looked beautiful and their whole story was so loving. nylene scrapincin- I hope you two sweet peas feeling better and taking it easy. Hugs to you both. justjac- What a time you had on your trip. I knew Pink would put on a great show. Where there any opening acts there too? woodysbetty- I like your hastag on your page too #tulip patrol. grammadee- Spring cleaning does feel nice especially when you rediscover something good like your family album. I did all that cleaning and redecorating earlier this year and now I gotta do another cleaning in our bedroom. This time it should be easy just dusting and maybe washing the curtains. Waving hello to you all and have a good evening!

Just a quick note. My infection didn't respond to the antibiotic, so am on a new one that is making me feel lousy. They reset my wrist just a tiny bit yesterday but are still hoping to avoid surgery. It is miserable today because of yesterday's manipulation. My glasses are fixed which helps a bunch. I find that I sleep day and night. Not accomplishing anything but the rest feels good!
Thank you for your well wishes and prayers. I will try to get to my computer a few times this week. Hugs to all my 2peas friends.

Glad you checked in, nylene. Hope the new antibiotic regimen resolves the original health issue, and that this will be the final adjustment on your poor wrist. Get all the rest you can and don't feel bad about not accomplishing anything. You ARE accomplishing something: you are healing! Sounds like a great weekend, kellyr21, even if the weather was a bit cooler than you would have liked. Up here, it is VERY warm now, but also very dry: we really need some rain. It is always SOMETHING! I finished this page this morning using photos I discovered in my basement. I linked this to a couple of challenge threads, but thought the Pokeys would appreciate these pics of me as a young mom about 40 years ago. Mom of boys by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

Good Morning all! Glad to see everyone is up and moving. nylene I am so sad for you right now a s You are such a busy bee and know how hard you work especially with your volunteering. I sure hope this new medicine works and gets you back to healing the rest of your body. I really am going to send that bubble wrap! grammadee I love this layout! Awesome photos of you and those boys. I am so glad you shared them with us. Hope you get some rain soon. kellyr21 I did watch the wedding and thought it was beautiful. Her dress was beautiful and that veil was stunning. Also Harry impressed me when he looked at her and told her she looked amazing! Nice little break in all the pomp and circumstance. Waving a big Hi to everyone. I am still working on my mini album and I am going to try to finish it today. No. 1-because I want to give it to her and number 2 I want to move on. Closing for now not much else to say. I am doing ok but moving slower then I choose to move but I guess you have to listen to your body. and yesterday it yelled loud and clear I was moving to fst Oh yeah our kids only have today and part of tomorrow left for the year! Happy Memorial Day in case I don't make it back before then!

Hello, Pokeys. Happy Thursday! Hope you are all doing well. nylene , I hope the next update will be more positive, and certainly not for OUR sakes! As you have said before, "Getting old is no fun!" And while anyone could be ill or break a bone, it seems like when one of "us" do it, the healing time just takes a lot longer. ((((HUGS)))) Looking forward to seeing your mini album, scrapincin . I always feel that way at the end of a project. Just want it FINISHED! Hope you are continuing to feel better, too. Also looking forward to wedding photos, @elaynef . Hoping your family time was/will be awesome! How is your reorganization going, msliz ? Hoping you will soon have a crafty space to spread out in! Dh was in the basement yesterday and made a comment about how nice it would be to move HIS stuff into MY corner that I have been clearing out, and I put a stop to THAT idea! It won't be a scrappy space, but it will be room for some other things I want to put there. I also want a clear view of everything (which I am labeling as I restore it) so things will be easier to find. Got a lovely Happy Spring card from maribeth today. Thank you! I hope you have some time to stop by and let us all know how you are doing. We are finally getting some rain here today. We are not used to high temps, kellyr21 , so after a few days of 30C we are ready for a bit of a cool down. And the garden really needs the moisture. Here are my last two pages for May. That bearded person is the same guy as that cute little blond in my Mom of Boys page. He took up team roping last year, and is really proud--as are we--of his success at it. Roper by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Roper 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I am trying to tie off a bunch of loose ends today: finished my scrapping for the month, doing laundry, gluing the flowers onto the welcome sign I painted so dh can hang it while I am gone, taking another load to town for the community garage sale and getting gas while I am there, packing up into my vehicle some antiques I think one of my ddil's will love. I am leaving tomorrow morning for a 5 day road trip to see kids & grandkids, and I need to be on my way in time to pick up a couple of kids at school at the other end. Ddil called last night. I guess when you have 5 kids going in 4 different directions, you need all the drivers you can line up! Anyway, wishing you a Terrific Tuesday, and a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! Wishing you sunshine (if you want it) or rain (if you need it). TTYL

woodysbetty-love the layouts you have been sharing, and plan to copy your pocket ...I've never seen a diagonal pocket like that. nylene- hope the new med works and you begin to feel better soon. This too, shall pass...but not quick enough, I know grammadee-have a great trip to visit your family lisadv- hope you and your family are enjoying whatever adventures you are up to this week and are well scrapincin-glad to see you are feeling well enough to work on your mini album and take care of yourself! kellyr21 I watched some of the wedding, too, and loved how happy they seemed misliz its miserable to be without power. hope that is all over justjac enjoyed hearing about the concert We just got back from the wedding in Florida. Everything went well. It did rain every day, though, and we had the wedding indoors. The MOB was disappointed, but the bride didn't seem to mind and it was still very nice. There wasn't storms or hard rain, just a soft rain on and off all day every day. We were still able to enjoy the pool and the ocean and had the wedding supper under the porch outside with the pretty tables we decorated. I don't have the professional pictures yet, but I took a few and thought you would enjoy this one. The photographer is my youngest dd, so I got her with the bride and groom on the ocean where the wedding was supposed to be. She has already warned us it may be months before we get the pictures. She is a very busy mom of 4 little boys in addition to a photographer and she will have to take care of her paying customers 1st!
