I took a long hiatus from scrapbooking. About 5 years ago I did a huge purge and gave my SIL and niece a ton of stuff. And then I just didn’t scrap much after that. And then we moved and I lost my half of a room. And now I have a 2 year old granddaughter and realized how much I missed scrapbooking. I made a tiny space in the laundry room and have been working down there the past few weekends. I’ve been watching room tours on YouTube and watching process videos (thanks for the recommendations!!). And I’ve been shopping!!! I hit Tuesday morning a few weeks ago and got a couple of Echo Park page kits (all new to me even though they’re 5+ years old!). I’ve been to Michael’s and Joann’s and shopped on Amazon a bit. This is this week’s purchases (Amazon, Michael’s and Tuesday Morning). If my dh says anything I’m telling him that it’s all your fault!!!

How fun! I think I can speak for all the girls who don't live in the US, we're all dead jealous of your shops like Tuesday Morning! Have fun building up your stash and if you use it on the same day that you buy it, the cost is negligible, in fact, it's wiped out

Enjoy your new goodies and immediately crack those new purchases open and put them to work! So glad to hear we were your gateway back to the craft (and to the stores, woops). I'm not even going to tell you about Distress Oxide because that would be plain cruel and your husband would hate me for it. But yeah, Distress Oxide, KelleeM, Distress OXIDE. YouTube that and try to resist the siren song...

I guess I’m fortunate in that dh has spent a LOT of money since we bought our home setting up a wood working shop. He can’t say too much about $12 here and $20 there. LOL. Really though, Tuesday Morning with the kits for $5.99...can’t beat that!

Welcome back to scrapbooking! Just buy a little at a time so you don't build up a huge stash. Enjoy scrapping that grand Baby!

I thought I was about through scrapbooking because our granddaughter will soon be thirteen; then April 20, we got another granddaughter from our younger daughter. Yay!! I'm back into scrapbooking which is my first love! I will continue to do cards, so I'm going to be very busy.

Yay! Enabling is my thing. I figure if you can afford to purchase craft supplies and they make you happy, you should go ahead and do it. Since we are retired and have part time jobs, I feel like the extra money needs to go to fun things that we enjoy doing.

So I went to AC Moore today because I NEEDED something. And there was a 60% off coupon. I didn’t find what I needed but did find a better option and got it for $16 instead of $40!! But then I had to look at the Project Life stuff (no, I don’t do PL!)...all on clearance for half price. I’ve been watching Jen Schow videos on YouTube and love how she incorporated PL stuff in her pages so I ended up with three small kits and a package of chipboard embellishments. And then I found an EK doily punch for $10. I would never have paid $36 for it but decided to try it. I really like it and it works so well! I think I may have reached my spending limit for the month!!

That's a great haul! The peas definitely excel at enabling. Just remember "do I need this?" "do I LOVE this?" "can I get my use out of this?" Sometimes that really saves me, other times, I might conveniently forget the questions.

Same damn thing happened to me last summer Kellee. I wandered over here and decided the Digi scrapping just wasn't doing it for me the way paper did and I am back in it full stop. I alternate between crochet and scrapping.

Welcome back. I think you made some wise purchasing decisions. I love those mini distress ink pads. It's so much easier to carry all the colors to crops (which is the only time I scrap). I used to pick 5-10 colors to take with me, now I can take all the colors. I had been wishing he would put out mini's for years & was so happy when they finally released them.
