thank you obi-wan kiwigirl ! i cleaned out all the nozzles and bottle necks of all my drops and now they all work perfectly  i had taken the pretty tops off after reading your blog posts, so hopefully the cleaning out and being upside down will keep them working  Yay! Glad that worked. I was thinking of you yesterday cause I my purple one for that LO above, needed a good clean and there's a big dried out flap inside the bottle too. I got it to work ok to do those dots but I've ordered another bottle. That Crushed Grape never worked properly from the beginning so I'm surprised I've managed to use pretty much all of it up! It was always the frustrating bottle that never worked properly, I was glad to throw it out! |

I popped the top off my bottle of Dusty Rose today. I had never used it, and it was being difficult. Still a little stingy with its flow, but I got it to work enough with a wire from the bottom of the applicator to get it to work well enough for some shadows and underlines. I think I need to really flush it out to make it work for drops. Anyway, I DID use Nuvo on these two pages (and dusty rose, no less for masculine pages).  I managed to actually use my Nuvos within about 18 hours of receiving them!! This layout also used all scraps. I stepped so far out of my comfort zone with this...I kept adding hexies and flowers then gems and bling and enamel dots. I finished with lots of Nuvo dots (some are flower centers). And this photo was scrapped within an hour of me taking it!! |

And this photo was scrapped within an hour of me taking it!! OMG, I want to like this like a million times! When I saw it, I actually gasped out loud, I LOVE it!!! Such a beautiful picture, no wonder you wanted to scrap it immediately and all the colours and shapes are just beautiful. An absolutely perfect LO in every way, totally gorgeous! Great Nuvo Dots as well, super lush!!! |

Hope nothing is wrong FurryP and you had to leave town for a good reason and not a bad one. Also hope you get to play with your Nuvos soon! I just order 7 colours of Nuvo Shimmer Powder which looks like the ink powder stuff you add water to and make cool backgrounds (like Lindy's Stamp Gang magicals and Ken Oliver Burts etc). Can't wait to get them - I'm treating myself for quitting my Coke habit! Also got 2 more colours of Nuvos Mousse, I have one colour (pink) and love it so I got a turquoise and citrus green this time. I love my Nuvos lol! |

What happens when Nuvos go right and when they refuse to cooperate: For this first page today, I used Nuvo drops to draw the spiral sun and put the rays exactly where and how I wanted them. Had been searching suns on Silhouette and was thinking of cutting a spiral design, but then decided no, I can do that with a little bottle of happiness. And it worked.  sprinkler weather by Gramma Dee, on Flickr On this second page, I had wanted to do a Kiwiesque border, but forgot to clear the air out of the bottle of Nuvo glitter before starting. I thought I could rescue it, but the bottle went completely off script. Of course the rest of the page was already in place, cuz either I like to live on the wild side or I am very poor at planning... Wow grammadee, the sun is amazing! What a fabulous idea and I love your little droplets along with the sequins too. So cute! I love the front yard fun on the second LO and I'm sorry the dots went wrong. It doesn't look bad at all, like you say, looks like splashes. I have had many accidents like that and taken my LO off the background and put it on another to try again! I also think some bottles are just bad, I had problems with crushed grape making big points on my dots the other day, I've always had problems with that bottle so I just tossed it (I had another in reserve). But I think sometimes the liquid is too thin or thick and you're just always going to struggle with it. |

Aauuugh! Where on earth did I put my Nuvo drops? I'm feeling very disorganized at the moment. I actually do have a "place" for most of my supplies, but when I started collecting Nuvo bottles (I must have all of 5 now? ) I didn't have a home for them because they were so unlike all my other supplies. I put them somewhere that made sense to me at the time ... but where? Just carry on making your little dots without me.  (that wasn't too dramatic, was it? ) |
