I spent 2 hours finding my counter tops today. Sorted everything that was thrown on top of them and put away about 2/3s of it. I now have a couple of work spaces to create on, and I found the ep papers I needed for some more little boy out and about pages. Probably won't get those pages done today, but they will be the first pages I put together when I get another opportunity to hang out in here.

I spent 5 hours over the last 2 days organizing photos, backing them up, and starting to organize my digital supplies.
I found out sometime last year that my iphone was not importing photos properly through PSE organizer. So for current photos, I now have to go to my icloud account and download by day or if many photos individually, because even the mass download button won't guarantee each photo is downloaded. I then can delete from my phone. I still have to use google photo to go back and check through all of the older 2017 photos to make sure they downloaded properly. Because I already deleted those from my iphone. ugh. But I got through mid January through June yesterday for iphone photos. I then backed them up to my portable hd and left to spend time with the family. Then I came back and started a back up of my digital supplies which took all night long. So this morning I started to organize those supplies. I want to get the folders in tip-top shape before I start importing the images into Lightroom and tagging them. I'm switching from ACDSee.

Hey LisaDV ! Do I get to claim a point for spending time looking for stuff I have now put away and have no idea where I put it??? Hmmm??? That might need to be a new challenge. I think we'd all get points in that challenge. Good luck in your search!

Claiming 1 more point and --- I can SEE my desk!!! I'm thrilled. Now I have to admit some stuff was just moved to another surface. But some stuff was put away properly and a couple of things were put away improperly (my scraps went to the top of the scrap drawer, but not filed according to the color).

I had a makeshift scrap area upstairs since the temp is better regulated. I put all but 5 iris cases away in my scraproom. Page kits are in those along with some extra embellies. I still need to put some of that away but have made progress at least.

I spent 10 hours on Sunday deciding what photos to print, and then printing photos. I'm so behind on this. Still printing 2016.

I spent 10 hours on Sunday deciding what photos to print, and then printing photos. I'm so behind on this. Still printing 2016. I just did 2 layouts with 2016 photos. I use to just print photos that spoke to me. Last year, I started working through all of 2017 photos that had stories or just really cute pics I wanted to use. I just got to August. I really dislike editing photos.

LisaDV, I am a throwback to Stacy Julian's Library of Memories method, whereby I print off my photos a quarter at a time and store the printed photos in Storage Binders. We sold and downsized our home in 2015 and moved into our new home in 2016 and I've been behind ever since I crazily decided June 2015 to upend my life! My aim this year is to get back to "current". I LOVE to be able to scrap whatever story I want to, and the key to that method working is to get it all printed so I can see, and pick, and choose. I do edit them slightly before printing - cropping some and brightening if dark. Otherwise, I just print standard 4x6. It's a great "chore" to do while watching YouTube videos or binge watching Property Brothers or Friends.

pennyscraps, I'm not that great of a photographer as I seem to need to edit every photo. But I never thought about putting on a show. For me it would have to be a repeat since I generally also do my journaling when I'm editing photos. But I'm so trying that next time. Thanks for the idea!

You're welcome LisaDV. DH often works late, or works weekends, so I like a little white noise/company. I always tell DH, "Okay, no worries. I'll just hang out with Drew and Jonathan." If I'm printing, that is more just babysitting the paper feed, and that is good YouTube scrappy video time.

I spent a little over an hour getting my room back in fighting shape last night. It's amazing the mess I can make putting a layout together.

I spent another hour on the computer trying to organize digital kits the other night.
