Mike Warren....
“Would love to hear Republican congressmen read aloud their texts about Trump from 2016.”
Good point. And emails.

You really can’t make this shit up. And then millions of Texans will vote for this guy, who has also been indicted on felony fraud charges, in November just because he has an R after his name. Some how we got Doug Jones (D) elected in Alabama... Working on getting Beto O'Rourke (D) elected in Texas... But better that hoping cruz goes down!

Trey Gowdy is a D.I.C.K. That's all I saw before work and that's all I got. As sure as snow is white, Gowdy is D.

So Rep Jordan is now questioning Strzok and the whole time I’m thinking why didn’t you do something when those boys told you what the doctor was really doing. How many are we up to now? Eleven?

John O Brennan...
“Watching the spectacle of the House “hearing” with Peter Strzok today, I was reminded of the words of Abraham Lincoln:
“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.”
Lincoln had a point.

Such a pleasant guest Did you read the interview he di for the Sun : Accused EU leaders of destroying its culture and identity by allowing in millions of migrants Tore into London Mayor Sadiq Khan for not standing up to terrorists Blamed Khan for spiralling crime in the capital Insisted former Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson would make “a great Prime Minister” Denied once branding Theresa May a “bossy schoolteacher” Maintained he would keep ties with Russian tyrant Vladimir Putin despite the Salisbury Novichok poisonings Demanded Britain and other Nato countries spend more on defence Spoke of his sadness at feeling unwelcome in the capital by anti-Trump protesters Claimed millions of Brits backed his policies Told of his pride at taking wife Melania to meet the Queenas well as saying that he told TM how to do Brexit but she didn't listen. What, listen to him? He does have a warped sense of humour I'll give him that! He doesn't understand what Brexit means. The other day he said Brexit is Brexit and if Britain wanted to break it up it was wrong....break what up? the EU? There are 28 countries that make up the EU one is leaving so what exactly are we breaking up. Brexit stands for Britain's Exit not Breaking up the EU. What planet does this bloody man live on? As if TM would listen to him. God he is such an egomaniac and totally uneducated, even on the smallest of general knowledge that you would expect a Head of State to know. LINK for our US peas I would just point out that the Sun is a tabloid newspaper owned by Rupert Murchoch's news corporation

I did read it. The day before he’d said he was fine with protests - then he’s sad. Who cares?
I did like one reporter’s comment that he was getting a cup of tea with the Queen but it was a passing visit and wouldn’t take long 😏

FEMA says in report that it was underprepared for Hurricane MariaBY MAX GREENWOOD - 07/12/18 10:06 PM EDT The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) was significantly underprepared to deal with the crisis wrought by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico last year, according to an agency report released Thursday. The report backs up many of the criticisms that were leveled at the emergency relief agency in the immediate aftermath of Maria, one of the worst natural disasters to strike Puerto Rico in modern history. ** "FEMA leadership acknowledged that the Agency could have better anticipated that the severity of hurricanes Irma and Maria would cause long-term, significant damage to the territories’ infrastructure," the report reads. "Leadership also recognized that emergency managers at all levels could have better leveraged existing information to proactively plan for and address such challenges, both before and immediately after the hurricanes." ** The report released on Thursday said that FEMA had fewer personnel on the ground in Puerto Rico than it needed, and also determined that the agency relied too heavily on local and territory officials to assist, when in fact, many of those officials were survivors of the storm themselves. ** "FEMA's mission is bounded by laws and regulations, but for a disaster survivor, recovery is a continuum," the report says. "As partners, we need to transform the way we facilitate recovery for the Nation's citizens in the face of increasing severe weather events." ** More at link: thehill.com/homenews/administration/396819-in-new-report-fema-says-it-was-underprepared-for-hurricane-mariaThinking someone is not so happy about this report!! But he will blame others!

If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” Lincoln had a point. He knew the festering boil of racism was deep in the psyche of America. Same as now. This nation was set up on a travesty and it will never truly succeed until it deals with that travesty honestly and frankly. It is a nation that has taught the poorest white men that there is always someone "beneath them" - the women, the blacks, the native Americans. "Don't blame us for your ills, poor white men, blame those sucks on society. They are responsible for you living in squalor and ignornace". And to this day, too many believe that their problems stem not from the putrid concentration of 77% of the wealth in the hands of 10% of the people so that the remaining 90% share the crumbs of 23%, but rather from those struggling along side them in poverty and ignorance.

A couple of points. First the country was not set up as a travesty. It was formed by human beings that like the rest of us were not perfect. Second the right word is “discrimination” not “racism”. Racism is a form of discrimination. Did you forget why the pilgrims firdtbcame to this country? Or forgit about sayings like “Irish need not apply”? The Achilles heel of all humans is they do not believe that all humans are born equal. All you have to do is look at the history of this world to see the various forms of discrimination one group of people uses against another group of people. And you still see a lot of being practiced today. And IMO the root of this discrimination is fear. Fear of someone different. Fear of someone not like them. In some countries, and this one of them, the masses have a way to combat what they see as wrong or make needed changes. And that is at the ballot box. Much was made of the fact black women came out and in the Roy Moore election. That was nice nice but why aren’t black folks voting in ALL elections? Much is being made of the record number of women running for political office at all levels. That’s nice, but why hasn’t this been happening all along? What could destroy this country is apathy. The election of trump should be a wake up call to all Americans that we can no longer sit on the side lines, especially when it comes to voting. All people need to show up and vote like their life depended on it. Because it’s becoming clear that it just might. No more of this “messsge” voting. Today and for the foreseeable future we are a two party country. Party A and Party B, those are our choices and that is where are out votes go to, party A or party B. Someday there might be a viable party C, but until that time it’s party A or party B. All our votes need to count if we want to enact change.

You have to say this about trump. He sure finds ways to bring people together. Too bad for him, it’s against him.

I wonder if our country will ever come back from this? The damage he inflicts daily to our reputation and world standing is unprecedented. Not to mention it’s being done with the aid and protection of the Republican Party.

“BREAKING: AP Exclusive: Environmental cleanup of Pence family's failed gas stations has cost Indiana taxpayers more than $20 million.”
Just a fun little fact on one of the reasons why the EPA was created. The very agency trump, Pence, and other Republicans are busy gutting.

I suspect there are Americans joining in the protest against trump.

lol- I'm watching Stephen Colbert's discussion about yesterday's Congressional hearing... after Peter Strzok gives Trey Gowdy a good tongue-lashing, Gowdy is slumped down in his chair... Stephen says 'it's because he just had his ass handed to him!' The entire video is linked here-- it's 12 minutes long, but well worth watching for some of the best highlights, if you missed seeing the testimony--

Ben Patrick Johnson.,
“Breaking News: Republicans vote to make it legal nationwide to ban gays & lesbians from adopting.”
I rest my case that the correct word is “discrimination” and how it’s based on fear that the other person is “different”.
Disgraceful.
