Tonight I'm going to make enchiladas for dh and tacos for yds. Ods has a summer job and he's working tonight. It's all about the tips, baby. He'll make moolah to use for the year. Though he wants to invest it instead. I think I gave birth to Alex P. Keaton. What's on your menu? Praying for sueg as she checks into the hospital today. May the doctors get all of the bad stuff w/clear margins, clean nodes and may you be cancer free. Meanwhile, your friends here are surrounding you w/hugs, thoughts and prayers. Have a peaceful day.

sueg is definitely in my prayers today. I am hoping everything goes super smooth for her and she's on the road to recovery very soon. Today was Jeremy's first day at his new job. I have an afternoon of appointments with DS, but I'm thinking I will stop at the store and pick up something to cook him for dinner. I am feeling like maybe I should make him some mac-n-cheese because it is his absolute favorite. My friend, Beth, is having quite the day today so I invited her to stop over for a drink and some dinner. Now that my first sweater is finished, I feel the momentum. I've got a new one picked out, the yarn all purchased, and can't wait to get started on my next. This one will be a Christmas gift for my dear sister in law. That's how I plan to spend my evening.

We lost power yesterday so I ended up not having to make dinner after all. Gosh, I hate when that happens. Tonight's dinner is almost like not cooking. I found a package labeled "ham and potato casserole" in my freezer and that's what we're having along with some vegetables.

Found some orphan crab cakes in the freezer; as I recall, they weren't all that great so we'll have those just to get rid of them, along with some tater tots and green beans. Hmmmm...maybe I'll fry the crab and tots so we don't have to turn on the oven.

Sending hugs and healing vibes sueg. We’re in Berlin for a week. Left home at 6 am, and arrived around 11.30. Seen lots the first day (Brandenburger Tor, Reichstag, Holocaust Memorial and a watchtower from the Cold War. Had dinner at an Italian restaurant, lasagna for me and pizza for DD and DH.

Thinking of sueg and her family today and hoping all goes well.
We're having such a nice day. DH has the day off, so we ran errands together this morning. I also got back to my morning walks. It's been a full month since I sprained my ankle and it's almost back to normal. I've walked two mornings in a row with no discomfort.
Tonight's dinner will be my perfect summer meal: fresh peaches and blueberries. I'm also making some bruchetta with tomatoes from my parent's garden and basil from my own back yard. DH will consider all this just a snack, so I have a rotesseire chicken for him as well.
jeremysgirl, I hope your DH's new job is a great fit for both of you!
cadoodlebug, I have life long girlfriends I see every year and seeing your pictures makes me miss them! I'm so glad you enjoyed great company.

Praying for sueg! Hoping Jeremy’s first day is awesome jeremysgirl! I made potato salad this morning and precooked chicken breast to grill later. I wish I had picked up corn on the cob but I forgot and when I went out again later it was too hot to make any extra stops. I can heat up some frozen kernels, I guess. We never had the ice cream cake for the birthday celebrants last night so we can have it tonight if dd and dgd are home.

I am checked in to hospital and getting ready to settle for the night. My surgery is last on my doctor’s list for tomorrow, so I’m not sure if I’ll be on any state to check in here. Dinner tonight was a cheese plate, with a variety of breads and an apple. Lunch is usually the main meal, but I probably won’t get to sample that until Wednesday.

Can I just say this Monday has been a MOOOOONDAY! Ugh. Counting down the 2 hours and 45 minutes till I can go home and hide where it's safe. lol Dinner is prosciutto and parmesan ravioli with pesto sauce. Stuffed mushrooms with artichokes, cream cheese, bacon and chives. Grilled zucchini and squash. I hope you get some good rest tonight sueg! Ask for something if you're having trouble sleeping.

Tonight we are having turkey burgers and "something". I might fry an onion if I get my act together. I hate cutting the onion for no apparent reason other than I am afraid I will cut my fingers. (Illogical because I cut lettuce for a salad or a red pepper to fry). I might make some vegetables to go with the burgers to grill. I could do a foil pouch or something on the grill.

Prayers for tomorrow sueg. Tonight will be cheeseburgers, the rest of the taco dip I made yesterday and guacamole. An odd mixture for sure, but easy!! Daughter wants to come home tomorrow from her mom's (she's been there since June 18th). She will be home for a little over 2 weeks, then she will go back. I guess she decided it's more fun here on the 4th than there. And it's her birthday on the 15th, and she doesn't get stuff she wants/asks for while she is there. They give her stuff she's not into like nail polish and girly stuff. LOL She is NOT a girly girl!!

We have a mellow couple of days then we send our 8yo off to bible camp. I swear I'll miss him like crazy and probably will lose 10 pounds of tears, but he'll have soooo much fun and grow closer in his relationship with God. He leaves Thursday around 9am and will be home around 8pm on Saturday. Then Sunday morning we head down south for the Giants game! I'm pretty sure we are going to do the Exploritorium. If there is enough time we will finish the afternoon by going to Pier 39.
Homemade blueberry waffles, sausage and scrambled eggs are on the menu.

Positive thoughts go out to you Sue I'm feeling no motivation to go to the grocery store today so I need to cook from what I already have It looks like we'll be having baked chicken breasts, roasted baby potatoes and various raw veggies ... boring but easy

Not staff quarters but an amazing backyard with a pool to die for. So if you're watching a ballgame on the TV, you can be floating in your pool.

I'm headed out shortly for a late afternoon dentist appointment. So I guess I will pick up something while I'm out. Either that, or I'll make something with the pound-plus of ground beef I defrosted and eat it for the rest of the week. Thinking of sueg and wishing her all the best tomorrow.

I’m so hot. I was supposed to set up the instant pot to precook some ribs to grill but I didn’t
So I made a couple of burgers and served it with a pasta salad I made yesterday.

Arrows full of our hope and encouragement, sueg. Your tribe is right where you left it with your awesome World Cup inspiration. Hugs. Leftover roast and carrots from my foray into the Instant Pot last night. And yellow squash, ladies 👍 Thanks for the thread.

Hi in the near future I want to make a stuffed shell pasta dish with shrimp or lobster. I want to use huge shells and I want it to have a cream sauce. This should be something I can bake in the oven and tastes amazing. I envision some sort of cream on it with maybe parmesan and I am thinking ricotta cheese but not hung up on it either. Maybe something totally different. I don't know what to search. All Recipes for "baked shell pasta"? Does such a thing exist?
Any advice would be great.
