Saying a prayer for Jerry that he heals soon and his pain level goes down. Sorry you've had this awful worry. I'm praying for you also.

You’ve got it. I hope he turns the corner on this infection quickly and that he will be out of pain right away. Don’t forget to take care of yourself during this time. Eat well and get as much sleep as you can so that you are able to be at full capacity to care for Jerry.

Prayers for you and Jerry going up.
My grandmother suffered from cellulitis several times and she went thru some excruciating pain. It did heal clear each time, though, and she was able to regain her mobility. Here’s praying the same relief for your DH.

I can't post this anywhere else because I don't want to worry anyone. My SO has been in the hospital since Friday. He has cellulitis in his left leg. He has been on IV antibiotics and will be even after we go home (he'll come back once a day for a super dose in a mid-line). It has been painful but up until today, he has been able to work past the pain and get up, walk around, use the bathroom, etc. Today he is horizontal. He has tried to get up, he even got some stronger pain med (he's been managing with Tylenol), and tried again. Nada. The pain is more than he can handle. I have never seen him like this, he is a very strong man, and stubborn, and has a high tolerance for pain. I have to admit, it scares me. I'm afraid that there's something else going on with his leg. All of his bloodwork has come back fine, he is on a "therapeutic" dose of Warferin and that is fine. There's another blood test that they do to check for clotting too, I can't remember the name of it... anyway, it's fine too. They might do a scan tomorrow just to be 1000% sure. He says the pain isn't like when he's had a clot though, so there's that too. He says it's like holding his leg in flames. The coloring and swelling have gone down a lot since we got here, but the pain has increased. Would the Peas please send good vibes, prayers, good juju... whatever your beliefs are... for Jerry. For the pain to go away. For the Nurses & Doctors who are treating him to know how to proceed with his treatment. I have been right by his side and done anything he needs to help him and make him comfortable but I'm scared. I have done my best to hide that from him, he doesn't need to worry about me worrying about him, he just needs to focus on getting better. Prayers for your Jerry. This sounds a lot like my situation with DH for the past few weeks. He was in the ICU for 5 days and he's still not nearly close to normal (he needs to be constantly watched). I wanted to quickly write you because I know what it's like to be RIGHT near them and filled with worry. DH should get some answers with his Urologist this week (finally), but it's been a very long few weeks filled with fright. I began a journal with his stats and notes, and just keep asking questions...... I can't rest until I know what's going on with DH and that he's stable, and I'm sure you feel the same way. As a sidenote: You're in the early stages of worry. I was in high-gear mode for 2 weeks and then hit a wall with exhaustion. I have no one to lean on or help me in any way here, so it's been very tough. I'd tell you to try to rest when he's able to rest and try to take care of yourself. This is the time to lean on friends & family if you're worried. I hope you get answers quickly and that Jerry is feeling better soon!

I feel for you and your SO. Something's not right. That increase in pain shouldn't happen at this stage. I urge you to push for more testing, more input, because something else is going on. Has he been seen by an infectious disease doctor? If not that would be a good thing. Also, when he does go home, there are companies that can do the infusions in your home so he wouldn't have to go back to the hospital daily. And if he's in pain, that would be far preferable. It should be covered by insurance.
