sleepingbooty Hoping your mother continues to improve. And I'm anxious to know if you've reached out to TC for like, um how to get your mom funded for all that. lol Ahh, BH never fails to disappoint. #alwayswantsthelastword If she'd stop posting sly remarks about the remarks here and quit giving us food for fodder, well... I guess maybe she shouldn't because whatever would we talk about?

Thank you! (sorry about the pee droplets ) sleepingbooty Hoping your mother continues to improve. And I'm anxious to know if you've reached out to TC for like, um how to get your mom funded for all that. lol Thank you. No pacemaker here though (or crazy expensive healthcare system). But maybe Tracie could teach my mother all about the healthy heart diet? I mean, she's double my maman's size but hey, hot fudge vanilla ice-cream bowls after surgery because yolo, amirite?

Thanks for the love, ladies. In today's positive news, my mother is going home this afternoon, so happy! I'll have to resurrect Tracie Claiborne's thread because I asked the cardiologist "heart doctor" about the pacemaker-sticking-out situation... I'm going to go and download BH's stories because I don't have it in me to watch her nonsense right now but will at some point in the next few days. Of course she implied people needed to leave 5-star reviews to be entered for some gift, of course she then faux-pologises if it was misunderstood, of course she's still pulling the sorry-if-you-don't-like-how-I-come-across card. This woman, I swear. The Becky who cried ME! Please do tell, this curious mind wants to know your inside scoop 😉 Let me guess...no bulging pace maker? Continued prayers for you and your family ❤

I can't help but wonder if she really does still enjoy memory keeping at this point, or if she sticks to making her family yearbooks because the church tells her it's her duty to. It's hard to tell sometimes if her heart is actually in the hobby at all anymore.

On the list of things that are important paying tithing, church attendance, temple attendance, and fulfilling church callings are way above memory keeping. It's taught it's important to record family history but they aren't specific.

Please do tell, this curious mind wants to know your inside scoop 😉 Let me guess...no bulging pace maker? Continued prayers for you and your family ❤ Thank you. She's at home resting now with the kitties and Netflix. I'm super grateful for the medical team that cared for her so well. So, I talked to the (super cute, by the way) cardiologist about this alleged acquaintance. Long story short: if it sticks out as much as Tracie was claiming, the nurse would have referred her to the hospital for an emergency check because it could have been the sign of a serious inflammation. Swelling is normal in the weeks following the pacemaker surgery as it settles but this whole settling business is limited meaning you won't go from "oh no, it's sticking out so bad I need to hide it with modest tops!" to "thank you Jesus for putting it in place and making it invisible finally!" He explained there were two ways to get the pacemaker in: under the muscle or under the skin. Under the muscle, you might see a bit of a general bulge. I had to suppress a serious chuckle when he asked whether this "acquaintance" of mine was perhaps very skinny (although that still wouldn't explain why it suddenly "disappeared"). The thinner you are, the more likely you are to have your pacemaker show a little and that's the aesthetic price you pay for staying alive. Long story short: if it bothered Tracie so much and stuck out so much, especially considering her weight, the nurse should've been alerted of a possible bad case of inflammation and asked her to check in at the hospital ASAP. If the nurse told her to wait a few weeks like Tracie said, it's more likely Tracie exaggerated the whole tale and it was just normal swelling. The pacemaker does not go from being visible to no longer protruding. It either protrudes and will always to some extent (it doesn't go from being visible to "settling deep" or whatever Tracie was trying to claim). Otherwise it's just normal localised swelling that will go down over the next few weeks like is the case with the majority of pacemaker surgeries. I didn't dare ask this "heart doctor" about the power of Jesus to make pacemakers disappear...

There is a SECOND newsletter from Becky today. It's mostly talking about how quickly notebooks are selling out (seriously, who is buying these!?), but it included this little tidbit...
Is it just me, or does that sound like she's hinting at a notebook subscription?
If she does that.... WHY did she not launch her own project life sub!? She would've done amazingly! If it's not a subscription, what could it be?

She's bored/tired/no longer interested in PL so I don't think she'll ever do anything real with it again. I honestly think the end of PL came when they stopped rounding corners because so many asked for it and she didn't like it. So she put it in an unread notebook

I honestly think the end of PL came when they stopped rounding corners because so many asked for it and she didn't like it. So she put it in an unread notebook HAHAHHA.
Oh I know she's done with PL, it's always been pretty clear that she was never willing to adapt the business to customer wants so that it would be profitable, it was all just about her having fun. When it stopped being fun, she stopped doing it. It's just frustrating because there was so much she could've done that would've been so simple and would've kept the business thriving. Or at the very least, she could've sold the name to someone who wanted to do it.
The notebooks just baffle me. I haven't purchased one, so I haven't seen them in person, but they look like standard spiral bound notebooks you can find at target for a couple of dollars. Target, Staples, etc. have tons of cute cover designs... so I'm just not seeing how this is a novel product or how the price point + paying for shipping makes and sense.
I also don't get how this appears to be her only product (other than clearing out old inventory). It only makes sense IMO from an online shop with various other stationery products... like why not stock pens, highlighters, page flags, stickers, etc.? She could include her favorites and also produce some of her own products and make a whole stationery line... but just spiral bound notebooks? Seems so strange...

Since this topic often discusses religion (well, mostly Mormonism) and has several Utah-based participants, I thought it'd be the right spot to promote Lucien Greaves coming to Provo, UT at Utah Valley University on Friday April 17th ( An Evening with Satan). He'll be speaking twice (3PM and 5PM). Tickets are free! He's a first amendment hero, incredible spokesperson for secularism and respect, leader of nontheistic "religion" (openly for the tax-exempt status ) that does amazing things like the Satan After School clubs to counter and offer a secular alternative to the ever-growing Christian Good News Clubs, the Protect Children initiative, so many symbolic stands to show the extent of hold of Christianism in public life in the USA, so many funny events as well (like the Pink Mass over the grave of the mother of the founder of the Westboro Baptist Church). This is all about promoting the importance of secularism in public life and public schools because it's the healthy foundation to build on. I can't recommend going to listen to him speak enough if you can. Anyone is welcome. This is absolutely *not* for members of the Satanic Temple. If you value humanism, you'll find a kindred soul in Greaves. If you can't but are still interested to hear what he has to say, don't hesitate to look him up on YouTube. If you've heard about the lawsuits initiated by the Satanic Temple but don't really understand the why or how of those, I recommend his The Satanic Temple and the Law talk at the University of Chicago Law School (Hobby Lobby mention!). In this talk, Lucien talks about mental health (dissociative identity disorder, repressed memories and how licensed mental health professionals contributed to the Satanic Panic that happened in Canada an the US in the 1980S as well as discredited mental health therapies still practiced today). If you have no clue about the Satanic Temple, here's a decent, short introduction.

This would make a LOT of sense. She could probably carry a line like that at Target if she wanted to, and do well. But that would mean listening to a consumer base and other people working in the industry and not just playing around with limited runs, so....

@sunnycalimom also a good point. I think she doesn't realize that we WANT her to succeed and be happy, we're just frustrated that she isn't putting any effort into sustaining a successful business at all anymore and hasn't for a while now.

Worth repeating. I want her to succeed as a business person. As an influencer/hobbiest I don't care at all if she is "successful", especially as I don't really know what that would mean in that context.

I've had enough of Becky's lunatic antics and bowed out some time ago. I no longer wish for her to succeed. She has shown herself repeatedly to be a rather shitty person with her many, many, far too many online reactions. She has also proven herself to be a pretty terrible business and brand owner. She refuses to take the advice of customers into account, she's stubborn to the point of not being willing (or able, I now believe) to cater to a willing-to-spend audience at her feet and almost begging for product, she consistently shifts the responsibility and blame on others and vehiculates toxic messages on serious topics like mental health. I'm not here for that. I won't stand for it. If she ends up succeeding with notebooks and/or podcast, good for her and her mortgage. But that is no longer my desire or particular wish.

I think she doesn't realize that we WANT her to succeed and be happy, we're just frustrated that she isn't putting any effort into sustaining a successful business at all anymore and hasn't for a while now. I think it begs the question though of if she ever really put in the effort... I think it's more likely that she's always been this way, we just didn't notice because the business was a success. My guess is she did the work that she enjoyed and that excited her and, because of the success of the business, she was able to hire people to do the parts she didn't want to do. It just so happened that her idea for project life (which was a great one) was both what she wanted to do and what customers wanted, for awhile.
But when the market started changing, competition sprung up and the profits started going down, most small business owners would reduce staff and take over those responsibilities themselves to make ends meet. Meanwhile, they would try to adapt their business to gain back some of their previous sales and grow.
But instead I think she just reduced staff and then no one did the work while simultaneously refusing to adjust her product to meet demand because that didn't fit her initial "vision" or what she wanted to do.
When it plummeted even further, she lost interest completely, so she just moved onto something else.
It's always been about just doing what she wants and what she enjoys and not about working or trying to earn a profit. It just so happens that what she wanted/enjoyed was the same thing that made a profit for a little while.

Also a very good point. She never addressed her team as her employees, it was always "my girls." It was all a big hangout and I only really remember Wendy and Kari putting in work and seemingly enjoying their jobs, Toni too until she was "let go." Was Race the only man that worked for her? I hope he's doing well, wherever he is now. I don't even remember what his role was! I can't say I'll be supporting any endeavor from her, but she needs to either get her shit together or pack it in.

Was Race the only man that worked for her? I hope he's doing well, wherever he is now. Race is now at Scentsy, holding on firmly to the Mormon MLM ladder. The "girl gang" attitude can still work for certain businesses (although not to my taste) provided it's just a manner of fun speech and that the actual roles are defined and work gets done which, as you noted, was clearly not the case for several key people at the BH LLC headquarters.

He went to Scentsy? Yikes! I know someone who works for NuSkin and while they do treat their actual staff (aka not the #bossbabes) very well, I cannot imagine willingly working in the corporate office for a pyramid scheme. My sense of morality doesn't allow for it.

Not to derail this thread, but I’m wondering if anyone here would be interested in some physical project life product. Free! I’m cleaning out my scraproom and I have a bunch of kits that have approximately 50-75% left. I’ve used and picked out what I want. (Toooo many of the same cards!).
The kits I have are Kiwi, Coral, Desktop, Aqua, Sunshine, Kraft, Midnight, School, Bloom, Honey and Jade.
I’m in Canada so if there’s anyone here in Ontario that would probably work out the best in terms of mailing cost.
Seriously though, looking through all these kits, why on earth were there so many of the same cards? Like 8 or 9 of them each??? She could have made kits about a third of the size and maybe they would have sold better!!!

I live in Ontario so you can DM me if that works for you.
As for Becky, she is a piece of work. She tanked her business herself, yet blames others and I'm over it. And, as someone who has mild anxiety which has increased throughout the years, it makes me furious that she milks her hurt feelings as "anxiety" while there are several people on this board and who read her posts who actually suffer from true anxiety and I feel for them. She just has no clue about the real life problems of many people and just thinks a trip to the temple can solve all the problems. Give me a break!
