I think she realized that in order to document your good life, you need something to put those documents IN. Took her how long to remember that little tidbit? Not everyone wants to buy a photobook - especially the people who started following you because they were physical scrapbookers!

Nope it wasn't HER fault. She "intentionally" stopped production because WE weren't buying the products/there wasn't any demand. 🙄 Apparently we now have our act together and she is "intentionally" selling them again.

I hardly know anyone in real life that still scrapbooks and the couple I do don't use PL type products.  Personally I have so many PL type cards that will last the rest of my life.  I buy very little product these days since I just have more than I will ever be able to use up.  Multiply others like me and it's easy to see why so many companies have gone out of business.

Oh I totally agree with you. It also doesn't help that everyone and their mom were selling PL type cards and pocket protectors. The market was flooded with so many supplies and general scrapbooking stuff too, as people were leaving. BH herself didn't help with a million albums, page protectors and card packs. While the variety was awesome it is hard to sustain. Instead of taking even partial responsibility for over producing and over stretching their product line she lays it completely on the consumer. It's our fault because we didn't buy enough.

There are many reasons to not offer international shipping these days, but “not our strength” isn’t one of them. If she’d described that shipping rates are extremely high for large or bulky items, or that during the pandemic shipping times have stretched to weeks or months, that might have been justified. I know some companies have halted international shipping because it’s just not good for anyone - customers often can’t track their shipments and fear they’re lost, it looks like bad customer service when it’s not actually within the shop owner’s control, and the prices are just so high. But talk about that. Be upfront. Give people options. Sigh. 

She NEVER offered international shipping on her products, even way back when PL was first introduced. Nothing to do with the pandemic and its affects on everything.

It's so deeply ingrained that EVERY MEMBER is a missionary, it probably comes automatically for her. I could never get on board with being that vocal. Too much of an introvert and then the anxiety of not being able to explain or have the right answer. I was like I'll just be a decent human being and if someone asks, I'll give them some information; an email address, find the number of the local missionaries, or the bishop.

its not as easy as you think. It depends on how much the platform your using supports it. My DD has issues, but she is a very tiny shop on some platform. A larger company should have no issue
