If BH goes under, what happens to the app? Will I still be able to use it since it is on my phone currently, but I wouldn't be able to download it to a new phone? You will still be able to download the app unless it is removed from the store- Google or Apple.
Apple use to let you backup but not any longer. There are workaround but IMO they are really complicated. You can do it but warning Apple can remove the app from your iPad if they deem it unsafe or too old. For example the Project Life app after three years might be deemed to old from Apple and they can delete it from your Ipad. If that makes any sense.
I work mainly with Windows & Android. Maybe one of the girls here knows Apple infrastructure better and can give some tips for backing up apps and restoring them.
Hope that helps.

Oh my freaking gosh. She’s titled her IG as “your yoda in memory keeping”. Wtaf??? I literally just took a screen cap of her IG and sent it to a friend asking if she’s always been our Yoda.. I hadn’t seen it before.. perhaps she’s being playful.

Perhaps many of her followers have muted the stories so they have no idea what's going on? I personally am not a fan of stories on instagram. I go there for my happy place. All I want to do is see photos of crafty things. Since I'm a simple scrapper, I usually don't care for process videos either.
To an outsider, I can see how that looks terrifying. I personally think all he's saying is well done thy good and faithful servants and comparing them to the faithfulness of the Mormon battalion.
"The battalion was a volunteer unit of between 534[2][3] and 559[4] Latter-day Saints men, led by Mormon company officers commanded by regular U.S. Army officers. During its service, the battalion made a grueling march of nearly 2,000 miles from Council Bluffs, Iowa, to San Diego, California.
The battalion’s march and service supported the eventual cession of much of the American Southwest from Mexico to the United States, especially the Gadsden Purchase of 1853 of southern Arizona and New Mexico. The march also opened a southern wagon route to California. Veterans of the battalion played significant roles in America's westward expansion in California, Utah, Arizona and other parts of the West. "
"Finally, one of the most noteworthy findings of the NMS research into former Latter-day Saints was how happy they are with their path after leaving. When asked to make a binary choice about which better described their feelings after leaving Mormonism — “freedom, possibility and relief” or “loss, anger or grief” — 93 percent chose “freedom, possibility and relief.”" www.sltrib.com/religion/2019/02/12/commentary-four-myths/You can't convince them otherwise on those myths.. The one I hear the most is they couldn't handle living the religion. Basically they left because they weren't strong enough.
How prevalent is prescription drug abuse among Mormon women? Because the manic behaviour could be Adderall abuse. For those with ADHD it does actually calm the brain, but can still affect their emotions - for my son (severely ADHD-PI) it caused emotional lability. His crash at the end of every day was not pretty, and he quit it because he couldn't stand how emotional and unstable it made his moods. When I was a teen there was a ward member who would listen to church news about members who recently had surgery and she would stalk their houses and steal their prescriptions when they weren't home. She was a convert to the church and she had a traumatic childhood. Her mother would frequently give her drugs to calm her. She had also lost a daughter in a car accident. This was a small town of less than probably 400 people. Before that, people rarely locked their doors.
A few years later, there was a member who got caught in a home. Her toddler son was left in her truck while she was going through the house. She got hooked on pills after a car accident in high school. I also had a neighbor FAR from being considered an active member ask if I had any pain pills left from wisdom teeth removal.
Opioid abuse is high in the state of Utah. It's not just a Mormon thing. Religion can definitely plan a factor but, it's complicated. I'm not sure about adderall. Sadly, I know of too many people who have died from drug abuse or suicide.

I was just curious because I've heard that Mormons are supposed to avoid alcohol and caffeine, so I wasn't sure if they were supposed to avoid prescription drugs too (or psychiatric meds like Scientology does). Just wondering.

I was just curious because I've heard that Mormons are supposed to avoid alcohol and caffeine, so I wasn't sure if they were supposed to avoid prescription drugs too (or psychiatric meds like Scientology does). Just wondering. That's a hot topic in Utah. The citizens voted on the proposition for medical marijuana. It passed. That is a big example of the church losing it's influence. Unfortunately, we have a state law that basically says any proposition that passes can be changed by the legislature. Now medical marijuana is legal but there is nowhere in the state you can buy. The legislature is 80% + Mormon. They are not against prescriptions for psychiatric or physical ailments. The church also owns over a billion dollars in pharmaceutical stocks. Hmmm.
ETA: There's a joke the difference between an active Mormon and an inactive Mormon is the temperature of their caffeine.
Coffee, tea-->>hot drink Soda pop-->> cold drink
There was an article a while back about the dangers of energy drinks. I've heard they sell caffeinated drinks at Mormon college campuses now.

I clicked on her IG live story for like 2 seconds and she is full on ugly crying talking about she is not going anywhere. I think this is proof she reads here for sure. Last night someone posted asking what will happen if the app goes away and today she’s crying about not going anywhere? Seriously woman, get a grip. You’re an embarrassment to women business owners. ETA I just watched the live and she cries full on not once but twice. And she kept clearing herself to answer questions, but there were like NO questions so then she would bust out in tears again. Very strange indeed.

Meanwhile the month is half over and I’m STILL waiting for the epic app update... Someone asked in the live (and she conveniently didn’t answer) if the app would update before the print sale was over which I thought was a pretty valid question. ETA. Also: get a pedicure it’s coming.

I unfollowed her on IG sometime between the wrapping paper and the dresses. Neither of those are something I’m interested in or need. But hey, it’s her business she can do as she likes. I pop in every once in a while to see if she has something I’m interested in (read: physical crafty product). Holy cow. This is like watching a train wreck in slow motion: you know it’s going to end badly but you can’t look away 😲

Ok I haven't watched but based on this thread someone needs to disable her IG account until she gets it together.

I will watch Shimelle crafty and ramble on Fbk while I do something else, but I don't have time to watch BH cry and talk for an HOUR on IG. I don't even know if my phone battery would last long enough to get through that. Even fast forwarding I didn't have the patience to see more than a few seconds at a time. (Obvs I'm not a BH fangirl, and I get that we have patience for people we like, but dude, who has time for an hour long live Q&A in the middle of the day??) I hope she answered some questions amongst all of that tear-welling...

That was extremely painful to listen to. I'm embarrassed for her and truly wish (no snark intended) that somebody would intervene and ask her to take a break from social media.
She sounds like she's on the verge of an emotional breakdown, and frankly, it makes me feel uncomfortable to watch it happen.

There was no way I was going to listen to an hour Q&A so I skipped to the end and caught it at about 50 minutes in. Becky read a question from someone asking if PL would be making the 10x10 albums in more colors. Becky started giggling and said people didn’t understand the business. She went on to explain they couldn’t make albums in more colors because the they might not sell well. In order to be sure they’d be profitable people needed to buy the up,the current selection first. Huh? Again Becky is telling people what they want. If they did want it they would have bought it.
I also didn’t care for her comment about how everything is digital now and who still prints photos? I do. Excuse me for not scrapping the ‘right’ way. Good job alienating your customers.

I didn't watch her endless IG stories and now I'm so glad I didn't.
Right now I hope A.C. buys out the PL brand from her and completely rebrands the business.

Curated Definition: selected, organized, and presented using professional or expert knowledge.
If anything desperately needed to be curated it is the BH IG account. Step away from the phone Becky and let a professional handle it for you. You are doing you and your business no favors by being "transparent". Save your last shreds of dignity and step away. If you MUST share with us, film it, wait a day, show a business partner who will tell you the truth. Listen to what they say even if it is not what you want to hear. Hit delete.

I skipped to the end so my view may not be accurate, but it still seems like she is blaming the customer. She got distracted because of all the things that the customer wanted, etc. But in the last two months the customer has said what they want and you still aren’t doing it. Look at her IG feed. PL inspiration is almost nonexistent STILL. I may not get business, but I don’t think Becky does either.

She kept saying she loved everyone and thank you for getting her back to “this”. This being memory keeping. She never actually talked about memory keeping but she kept saying how good it felt to be back. So she definitely knows she’s went way off the rails of memory keeping. But she kept bursting into tears and it was almost as if she was sad because no one wants life guru Becky. They want scrapbook Becky and she’s doing that and is sad because it’s not what she wanted. I mean just last week she said she wasn’t conforming to anyone else’s desires and how right it felt to do what SHE wants. And then this live basically falling all over her scrapbook fans because they’re the only ones still hanging around. And they don’t want dresses and jewelry and gift wrap. Honestly, I’m starting to feel sorry for her because she is very obviously going through something intense and it needs to happen in private. Said by the queen of drama over here

^^^ I totally agree. She was trying to be an "influencer" and she couldn't make it. Her fans don't want that from her they want PL/scrapbooking just like they have told her many, many times. She has been fighting to move away from it while saying she isn't.
She is all about "cultivate a good life" right now and she is convinced we need her to tell us how to do it, but literally no one is buying it.
The brand used to be 20% "cultivate a good life" and 80% scrapbooking/"record it" and now that has totally flipped. I don't count all her IG Stories as "record[ing] it".

This is how you share A BIT of yourself via social media. Not the breakdown in slo-mo posts and stories and lives. Just a lovely post every now and then to connect w/your followers. http://instagr.am/p/BteZcJTn17q "I carry my camera most everywhere except the school run. With no lens cap, because I only lose them or miss the shot messing about with them. Once when I had my camera serviced, the repairman joked ‘has this camera been through the jungle or something?’ and it had. It had also fallen down the side of some temple ruins in Cambodia and somehow it was me who ended up far more bruised than the camera. No jungle trips right now, unless we count the Jungle Cruise. 😜 ⠀ ⠀ One of my chief purposes in life right now seems to be the holder of the stuff. Sometimes I am prepared and have a giant bag. Sometimes I am not and perform precarious feats of how many tiny things I can hold while still also being able to hold hands for road crossings. ⠀ ⠀ I pose with one arm in the air for so many photos these days but I am also okay with it because I feel it is some inner voice saying ‘Look! You are raising your hand in life!’ Only I say it’s ‘some’ inner voice when really I know that specific phrase is @erinloechner, who years ago put into words this thing that has always been part of my heart. A sort of ‘say yes to anything that sounds good and work out the details later’. ⠀ ⠀ Currently trying to work out the details of getting plumbing in the new house before our moving date next month. 🙈 It’ll work out. ⠀ ⠀ A simpler introduction for new followers: I grew up outside Kansas City, hoping to live in the middle of a big city and be an astronaut and an actress. I live in London and am neither an astronaut nor an actress, but instead work in the craft industry designing paper and stickers and teaching how to write your own life story through scrapbooks. My four year old son is best friends with Mickey Mouse and wants to be an astronaut who sings show tunes on the space station. My husband and I are currently trying not to panic about our new status as home owners. Also hello!! 👋🏻⠀ ⠀ Please share something about you in the comments today! I’d love to know you better!!⠀ ⠀ Many thanks to the lovely @boundingonabudget who managed to capture all those details about me in one photo. ♥️ 🎠

@zingermack You're not playing fair now: Shimelle is an amazing example of how a pro scrapbooker should do social media and online interaction. She knows her brand, she caters to it and keeps just the right amount of boundaries between personal and professional in a business where both get mixed. You can't set the bar so high in a Becky thread!

ETA I just watched the live and she cries full on not once but twice. The ex-Mormon podcasters I listen to regularly have mentioned that crying when speaking up in public is part of Mormon culture. Getting up on stage, giving testimony and crying over things that most non-Mormons wouldn't find cry-worthy. I attended Catholic church several times a year until age 12-ish (and somehow even ended up at European Evangelical + Jehovah's Witness for short stints as a kid #itsalongstoryabouthomelessness) and never saw anyone cry except at funerals (and even then, it's a rare thing: stoic mode activated).

I mean seriously. speaking for myself personally, here-- "we're just not that into you..." sorry, Becky. If you didn't think you could keep it together, then you should have practiced, or not done a live session. I care alot about what I do for a living, too-- but I won't let myself get that worked up about it (in public) because my boss and my co-workers- and CERTAINLY not any customers- would find it VERY unprofessional. If she wants to work through stuff, then she needs to get a counselor-- NOT spew it all out there in public for her customers to see. (AND the businesses she works with; they can see this stuff, too, you know!)
