Fair enough about complaining...I’ve certainly participated myself. But at a certain point, don’t you have to ask yourself, what am I getting out of this? How is this being upset, eye rolling, etc. helpful to me? Is this a good use of my time? Sometimes I'm in the mood for a little nonsense and drama. When it's not worth my time I scroll on by... -shrug-

I have little to no drama in my life. For me, it is a bit of entertainment, but I do always hope that things turn around for Becky. I'd hope that for almost anyone.

Is this a good use of my time? If you have close to 2,000 posts on this website you probably have not spent every minute wisely either, so maybe you should let others decide how they want to spend their time. Peace out!

I wasn’t saying people shouldn’t complain, I wrote that I have done it myself. But if you don’t like the product, return it and don’t buy it again. If I have people in my life who treat me like crap, I don’t hang out with them anymore. If I don’t like the food in a restaurant, I don’t go back. I don’t keep going to the restaurant again and again and again and keep complaining about the food, the service, the owners. I don’t get the constant churning of the same thing over and over again. If you don’t like the way she runs her business, unfollow her and don’t support her business. If she’s made bad business decisions, that’s on her. It’s too bad, but that’s the way business runs. I have worked in child protective services for 26 years, I don’t have the energy to be involved with things that upset me, or bother me or waste my time. This is my 1907 post in several years for those who are counting.

I have worked in child protective services for 26 years, I don’t have the energy to be involved with things that upset me, or bother me or waste my time. This is my 1907 post in several years for those who are counting. First off we aren’t churning the same things over and over again. The fact is Becky, SC, and Ali all keep on giving us new and ridiculous things to complain about. They are all truly the gift that keeps on giving. You say if you don’t like the restaurant you don’t go back again, but you keep on coming back here to chastise people for participating in this post. Kind of a pot kettle situation, no? No one is counting your posts, it is information posted under your Pea name. Maybe because of your job you don’t have the energy to be involved with things that upset you, bother you or waste your time, but that doesn’t make you superior to us. And frankly, nothing Becky or Ali does upsets me or really bothers me, but it sure as heck makes entertaining reading. Please note that I left SC off of that, they do bother me and upset me. As a matter of fact they routinely piss me off even though I only buy 9x12 albums and pp from them. I know I shouldn’t support them, but as long as they are the only game in town and they aren’t sending the profits they make from me to Trump’s build a wall fund I am will continue to buy them and be irritated and annoyed while doing so. Hell, if they came out with a scrapbook kit designed by Geralyn Sy I would probably buy that too, at full month to month price. So there. It is my decision on how I spend my free time, I don’t understand why other people feel the need to judge that or try to shame people for how they spend their free time when it doesn’t affect them personally. Myself, I don’t get why anyone cares about the Bachelor or DWTS and I know a lot of people love that stuff and spend a fair amount of lunch breaks at my work talking about it. I don’t feel the need to tell them I think it is a waste of their time and they shouldn’t watch something that irritates them. I guess my point is, we get you think this thread is ridiculous, but we enjoy it. If you don’t like it, fine, we aren’t bothered by that. Just scroll on by. I personally would love to have you contribute in other threads you feel worthy of your time.

It is a good use of my time and I appreciate others doing it as well. I have bought products based on what I’ve read here and I have avoided designers/products/companies also based on things I’ve read here. So yes, it is a good use of my time. THIS, THIS, THIS!!!!! I am so grateful for threads on the positives and negatives in this industry. I tell all of you all the time how grateful I am. Threads like these are important. These discussions are needed. We are the consumers and we shape the industry. A lot of us do not want to buy into "stars" who lead this industry and we want a more diversified field. Discussions like these lead to changes that are healthy and positive. Many scrapbook professionals and stars are also reading these threads learning how to to better run their business and how to keep their business trendy and alive with what we want. I think this is positive. I am sorry that Becky is imploding and not using the criticisms as a learning tool. I think that says a lot more about her than us.
Remember ladies the entertainment rule 101- That a lot of these type of "Should you waste your time" responses are started by reps from the companies or agencies who want to stop the negativity. We do have a lot of "spies" who follow these threads to gauge what we want or need. I don't mean spies in a negative term. Tiring weekend and I am thinking entertainment terms. That's one of the reasons I am always submitting hints and tips about features or designs I want, lol. I know they hit all the boards in all sorts of industries. I use to encourage it at a couple of forums I ran.

Yes! And Becky herself asked us to define who she is. Since most of us here had nothing nice to say, we came here and said it. (I posted to her but I don’t k kw if anyone else did)

as long as they are the only game in town and they aren’t sending the profits they make from me to Trump’s build a wall fund OMG, I almost had a heart attack when I read that because I thought you were saying that they DID do that and I was about to go cancel all my subs... if they came out with a scrapbook kit designed by Geralyn Sy I buy every physical product designed by her! She did design the stamp kit this month. But did you see her travel collection from Pink Fresh Studio? It is so swoon worthy!!

Not sure why a 38-page thread was worth the strut of the High Moral Horse when there's over 800 pages of bad April Foster business decisions in the Studio Calico thread.
Oh well, 't is not a proper 2PR thread if it didn't get handslappy. *feels the validation*

The embellishments are so great. I hope there are more lines by her with them in the future! Sorry for freaking you out. I was just trying to think of something so egregious I would have to stop buying from them, even though they are the only 9x12 game in town.

How is this being upset, eye rolling, etc. helpful to me? Is this a good use of my time? I wasted 30 years of my life belonging to a religion that Becky is a member of and I freaking love wasting my time on my own terms. I'm finally not afraid to speak up against it's harmful practices. Because she mentions religion so often, I feel like participating on this thread. Sometimes I feel like some of the peas get it wrong about the religion and it's practices, so I give some insight.
I don’t get the constant churning of the same thing over and over again. If you don’t like the way she runs her business, unfollow her and don’t support her business. If she’s made bad business decisions, that’s on her. It’s too bad, but that’s the way business runs. I want to support her business. I liked her core kits. I don't care that the cards were rounded. I didn't think they were flimsy. They were sturdy enough to go into sheet protectors and I had no issue with writing on them. If more people prefer square, I'd buy those too. I own her Project Life metal cutting dies.
I miss the grid cards she used to sell. I wish she would sell alpha stickers again, but in more colors. Maybe do a different font. Same with the arrow stickers. I'd love for her to sell 4x6 sticker packs like Simple Stories. Digital stamps or regular stamps would be awesome too! I'd love to buy more metal cutting dies to go with the original ones. Fun things you can add to the cards. I keep hoping she'll produce physical product again. I did unfollow her because I didn't want to know about non memory keeping related things. I keep up on here, waiting for some news.

I also use her PL cards in my page protectors, along with a bunch of other brand pocket cards and I am fine with square or rounded corners. I recently scored 4 core kits at TM for $6.99 each.
I am sad about Becky - she seems to be going off the deep end, and has really blown an opportunity to cater to a specific group of scrappers who would support her and keep her brand alive.

I use some of her cards also. The flimsiness bothers me, but not enough to not use the cards. I do hate the rounded corners though. Sometimes I just suck it up and use it, but more frequently I will crop the 4x6 cards to 3x4s or cut images/sentiments out of the 3x4 cards and use them as embellishments so that I can have squared corners. I also have purchased some of the kits on the app and will print my own cards because then you can print squared corners.
Even though for cards I use other brands more frequently, I still use Becky's 12x12 albums and Design A page protectors for my regular spreads, I complete two 12x12 albums per year and they all match on my shelf and I plan to continue this. I follow this thread because I worry that something is going to happen to Becky's brand and these products that I rely on will no longer be available. I very much appreciate the original concept that Becky came up with and I wish her the best because of it (and because, why not? I don't really wish ill on anyone). In addition to wanting to know what is going on with the brand, I am morbidly curious to watch as she crashes and burns... like when you see a car crash and can't look away. I find it entertaining, and while it's not necessary the "best" use of my time, I enjoy it and am happy to devote my time to it (although to be fair, much of the time I spend on here I am actually at work and I'm not sure my employer would feel the same way... hahaha... don't worry, I'm not paid hourly, but still).

Could somebody please send Beggy a link to CZ on Crafty Ass Female? CZ goes into detail about if something is not working, you must pivot and do something different. It would be an awesome message for her to hear!

Ugh, Becky looks like she is planning on doing a local class -- somewhat like what Ali has done for Story Camp:
"Imagine a LIVE EVENT with Team BH. Imagine coming together with us and gleaning all kinds of inspiration for cultivating a good life and recording it. Imagine being able to get personalized help on your specific struggles in areas where you feel stuck in being able to tell your story or preserve your family’s memories.
I mean… Wouldn’t that be something? Isn’t that something we should explore? An in-person event. Cozy and personal and fun and a place to feel the feels and walk away with a completely rejuvenated sense of ACTION to take.
Yes. It’s something we have thought about for a long time but recently it feels like we have a more clear vision on what that would be like. And it feels like something we should offer sooner than later. We would start in our home turf and do this locally, in Arizona. Would this interest you?"

Clearly this is an afterthought in an attempt to win back her customers. I never did understand how much she thought she needed that office when absolutely zero things associated with project life actually got done there.

As far as I can see she isn’t doing much to preserve memories in any type of crafting. PL is circling the drain. Can she really motivate people to take action? How can she teach things she can’t even do herself?

Wonder if the IG outage today affected BH's 72 stories/day that she needs to "share".

Becky is exhausting. She keeps asking people what they want but then doesn’t do any of it!
BH: What do you want? Customer: Memory keeping BH: So more about travel? Customer: Memory keeping BH: In person classes? Customer: Memory keeping BH: More about my faith? Customer: Memory keeping BH: So more notebooks and stone wrap. Got it. Customer: For the love of all the is good, give us more memory keeping!!!! BH: Did you know my lackluster photo tips class is on sale? Also here is an update on my new house I’m building. I’m downsizing my staff and products but I’m not downsizing my home! Customers: Ugh, nevermind. *gives Heidi Swapp all my money*

Is Becky going to go the Jen McGuire route and make a separate IG for the thousands of pictures she's about to post of her new house?!?! Of course not. That would mean she'd listened when people said they wanted more memory keeping/paper crafting and less random nonsense.
Of course, she only listens to the cheerleaders who "spoke" and said they want the multitude of pix of BH's house. She's too into herself to realize that most people who DON'T want to see that are too polite to say so.
Brace yourselves.
McMansion overload is coming!

McMansion overload is coming! How big is this new house of hers? I just watched her IG Stories and I think my entire apartment, bathroom and kitchen included, fit in her family room. Seriously. Unlike Becky, I'm not exaggerating ("I picked this out like 17 000 years ago.", "I asked how interested you might be in seeing how I decorate the new house and on a scale of 1-10, the average answer is about 634.", etc.), and I really think my entire home fits in that family room. 40m² or 430 square feet.
On a different superficial note, I wonder when she'll quit the square nails. They are so unflattering for her hands and finger shape. It's like watching Stumpy McStump showing stuff. Something softer like oval or rounded would be much better.

But she never has, nor she ever will, share more than she’s comfortable sharing. Um, that’s still more than the rest of us Becky.

I will say, the house feels very true to her aesthetic. I will give her that. On the other hand, I don’t personally understand building a big house with teenage children who are likely to be leaving for college in a few years. That’s a whole lotta empty space. Also curious about the practicality of a fireplace in Arizona.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought it was a bit of a waste to build such a ginormous house with so few years left with the kids home. I mean if I was building this house, I would want to do it while my kids were under 10. This just looks like showing off to their friends. “Look at all the money we have! We take hundred dollar bill baths!”
