Haha, that was interesting to revisit! I tried to follow some links within the post - BH's post about "evolving" (insert huge eye roll) didn't lead anywhere any more. Shame. I wanted to see what evolving she was doing a decade ago.

Becky has been posting about the app in her Stories. And we are getting an Appy Hour with Wendy and Kari. 🤷🏻♀️ I wonder if this is being begrudgingly done or if somebody is paying attention.

If she doesn’t read here (which I totally think she does) she’s reading somewhere where there are pea-like people bitching about the same issues. She’s so defensive, and we know that’s not coming from the fan girls. Most everything we have complained about she brings up. She’s another thin-skinned paper crafting “celebrity” who needs to get over herself. Criticism is not unkind or bullying or tearing women down. It’s pointing out your shitty business management or your lack of transparency about your sponsors. It’s holding you accountable for your business practices and mostly it’s giving you feedback (THAT YOU ASKED FOR!) on how to keep us as customers.

lisacharlotte I agree. Seems that she definitely reads here. She doesn’t get it and never will. I gave up on her ever changing.

I wondered which Pea sent her a link? Has anyone told her to read here? I cannot imagine she found us all by herself (unless she was googling her name....).

mom If I'm remembering right a pea shared a link to us on IG or FB when the whole BH IG post went down and sent PM's as well. I believe she also got blocked? I can't remember who but I remember thanking her for taking one for the team lol. ♥ ETA: It was @calimom2! 🤗 2peasrefugees.boards.net/post/2543677/thread/81220

As I understand it her religion isn't very supportive of women working outside the home so I suspect the advice she would get there would be more about how to protect her family time/life and make sure her business doesn't interfere with the more important roles of wife and mother. I don't think she's getting much honest feedback IRL. It's a shame. That really isn't true anymore. The LDS church is constantly changing doctrine in order to stay relevant. Utah has a higher rate than a lot of other states of women who work outside the home. It's no longer frowned upon. I have four siblings and my husband has six. All of the women work outside the home. Ironically, I'm the only one who does not. It was called Qwikit by Provocraft. Thank you! No wonder I thought it was similar to Quick Kutz.

I loved those scrapbooks & pages — they disappeared early in my scrappy “career” before I hand the idea or $$$ to stock up. Love that you’ve got your teaching career In those albums. Smart planning! She didn't "invent" pocket scrapbooking anyway. ScrapWorks was producing Anthology boxes and page kits for a multitude of pocket scrapping back when Becky was still doing her sketches thing. Those boxes rock and are still some of my favorite albums. Becky, sweetie, I am not resistant to change and afraid to evolve. I just have zero interest in following you in your proselytizing or your "influencing." I have three huge scrapbooks of my teaching career of 30 years in the Scrapworks pages. They were black instead of clear and I loved them. I bought over 120 of Scrapwork's pages and rationed out how many I could use per year to finish out my career. I don't think BH started PL before she left CK in 2009. That was about the time when Anthologie stopped making their boxes. She capitalized on a product that was no longer being created.

I am glad to see one of her followers call her out on her hateful and demeaning way she spoke about anxiety. I was so excited when Becky released PL. I got back into scrapbooking when the trend was the embellished pages. It was so hard for me to find pocket pages. I have always been a pocket page scrapbooker. I think Kodak use to carry pocket pages many, many years ago. Don't scold if I am thinking of the wrong company because I was a teenager when I first discovered pocket pages. When Becky released pocket pages I was thrilled. I admit I didn't like the style of them. I knew other companies would follow with a style I would like. They did. I was very confused about all her core kits and what nots. I was not into them. I couldn't understand why she had so many of the same cards. I am grateful to her for pocket pages and bringing that trend back. She got me back into doing one of my favorite loves. I do thank her for that. Becky if you are reading this- You did not create pocket pages. You might have created multiple cards with rounded corners. I don't know about this either. You did not create pocket pages. You can't freak out other companies have competing projects. Jeez, lady you are starting to go to MISTI territory over this. I would also like you to realize you branded yourself with American Crafts who licenses out products to other designers. If I remember right you had your own Fuse. Are you the creator of that too? Peas- Have you noticed the small trend of the black pages coming back in vogue for scrapbooking. I have seen some younger girls embracing our scrapbooks of really old lore, lol. I am loving it. I guess Becky can take credit for that too.

I also remember Stacy Julian doing a form of pocket scrapbooking way back when they worked together. Yes....she is where I found it. She called it photo album scrapbooking. There was a special edition of SS magazine dedicated to it....from 2008 I think. I still have it. I was never a Becky or CK fan so I didn’t really take to the PL brand until Elise Cripe created the sea foam addition, but I made photo album scrapbooks long before that.

She is back to her stories being a million little lines. Seriously, doesn't she spend time doing ANYTHING else? I almost forget she has a family sometimes.

I can never get through one whole edition of her stories. Her stream of consciousness rambling drives me nuts. I’m only good for a few minutes before I have to stop. Today she offered up her shopping trips for home decor. Surprisingly she isn’t using much of the Gaines’ Magnolia pieces.

I also remember Stacy Julian doing a form of pocket scrapbooking way back when they worked together. Yes, Stacy also had a smaller format pocket album where she did “Tuesdays with Taft” (or maybe it was Thursdays) where she had one 4x6 photo in a pocket and one 4x6 paper where she journaled about the week. I think the was a year long project for his first year. Was probably in Simple Scrapbooks, but could have been CK or a special issue.

Or maybe it was in her Big Picture Scrapbooking book, it was early 2000's because I remember reading it in my old house. Anyway, my point is Becky did not invent pocket scrapbooking so when she got huffy about trademarking Project Life I thought it was nervy since she was piggybacking on somebody else's idea to begin with.

In the podcast with Heidi Swapp, BH mentions she still has her licensing/distribution agreement with American Crafts for physical products.

Because she reads here... 😂 You’d think if she read here she put out a set of cards without rounded corners. I can’t tell you how many set I pass up because I normally don’t like rounded corners but when I do I can round them myself. She can pretend it’s her idea I don’t care

You’d think if she read here she put out a set of cards without rounded corners. Square corners are now the norm for physical PL cards. She fina-fuckin'-ly stuck her head out of the stubborn cave in late 2017. She did a whole hoopla about it on IG. "Guys, guuuuys, SQUARE CORNERS!" Uh-huh, you're about five years late to the party, Buckeye. All the round corner sets you're coming across is inventory they haven't managed to shift. That's how bad things are at BH. Meanwhile, Crate Paper, Heidi Swapp and Pebbles regularly sell out a third of their new lines in the first couple of months of being released. Here's the discussion we had about it on the board.

BTW I do have a PL corner rounder that I got on clearance for $4 if I do want a rounded corner

I'm not particularly interested in Project Life by BH products anymore because there's usually too much repetition within a kit but as far as I'm aware, the following kits are all square-cornered (there are possibly more): Project 52 Rad (2018) (this is the kit whose presentation video had been discussed in depth on here because Becky admitted she didn't know crap about the product her brand puts out in it) Project 52 Daring (2019) Click (classic core kit) Sharp (classic core kit) Snapshots (classic core kit) All the 4x6 card pads
