I actually started following her new account. She doesn't post any scrappy stuff anymore so I stayed just for the new construction stuff. Now I can dump her main insta and just get my new home porn without the other crap.

If Becky has a separate account for her new house why is she still posting about it on her regular account? Did she run out of ideas regarding PL? Oh, wait.

Remembered today about the Movara family moving into an RV and traveling around for a year. Decided to go check out their IG. Yikes. Yeah, who would have guessed that 8 people in one RV would be difficult. Oh, yeah, right, many people. http://instagram.com/p/BzKIbXSlCsJ

The fact that she needs a separate ig for her house tells me she is the epitome of a bored housewife. On that note, did you see the freakin basement??? It has a kitchenette and is bigger than my entire house. I’m not jealous because what I don’t have in house I have in land but yeah I’m kinda jealous. There I said it.

I am just trying to figure out why they built such a huge house. It is not like their kids are little. Soon they will be gone...then what?

Just because you can doesn't always mean you should...and this is a prime example. All about that show off money

I am just trying to figure out why they built such a huge house. It is not like their kids are little. Soon they will be gone...then what? Because big kids bring friends over. They go off to college and bring friends and girlfriends/boyfriends home. And some even get married and bring home spouses and grandkids. Our house is bigger than we need currently on a day to day basis, but man does this house come in handy throughout the year. We are the gathering place for both sides of our families. We can afford to live here and it's totally manageable to keep up with. So I tend to not judge others on their housing choices.

The only question I have is why make the basement so big and open? If it has a kitchenette it seems like it would make sense to add a closed off bedroom down there so it could double as an apartment in case a college kid, parent, or other relative wants to move in. I'm not a fan of the green tile or the concrete, but to each their own with style. Becky and I have very different styles.
That said, I do appreciate the photos, we're in the process of building our own house and I love seeing the inspiration.

I just read a couple of posts, and I have to say that I was I was a bit offended about the comments they made about being "homeless" and how the kids were excited to say they were homeless. This whole situation is a very far cry from homelessness...it makes them seem exceptionally out of touch with reality.

Many of the people with larger homes in our neighborhood have a weekly cleaning person. We have a small home, but we choose to have someone come and do a deep clean twice a year. If she’s not using the basement kitchenette more than a few times per year, it’s unlikely to get too dirty.

I had the same thought but maybe they plan to host children in law and grandchildren in this house. But yeah it makes no sense to me. Their old house is still my dream house. I wouldn’t want that huge of a house now that I’m close to being an empty nester.

It has a small kitchen size fridge and microwave, etc. We keep the extra drinks and some snacks there and it's where all the popcorn is popped for movie watching. Not big at all and definitely not hard to keep clean. It's a handy space when entertaining since our family room is above the garage and a long ways from the kitchen.

They are very common in home construction in Utah and might be in her area, but I thought basements were hard to come by in Arizona? My husband's rich relatives have nicer basement kitchens than our only kitchen! One of their kids lived in the basement with her husband for at least a couple of years while they saved up for their home.
Anyway, with all the Mormon discussion I'm sure they have very large extended family gatherings. Both me and my husband come from large families and if everyone is there, it's at least 30+ people in homes probably less than 2500 square feet. I can understand how she is going larger.

After our 12 inches of rain last week my husband said we couldn’t have a basement because it would stay wet year round.

basements are freakin' EXPENSIVE to build in Arizona- they have to dig thru ROCK-HARD dirt, and/or ACTUAL rocks.
and she annoys me- she's still posting house-related stuff on her LLC instagram page, and making it sound like she's the only one in the world who ever thinks of things. The pizookie? Signature dessert from BJ's Brewhouse Restaurant... but does she credit them for the idea in her post? nope. Organizing, phase 2 organizing, and 'micro organizing' ?? give me a break. (and why IS Becky P. always around, it seems??)
I'm just extra-crabby this morning because I didn't get enough sleep... but her fake smile annoys me no matter how much sleep I get.
And the 8-people in an RV, with a broken down RV?? That is somehow very fitting. Although for one of the kids to be 'excited' about getting to say they're 'homeless' because of it? THAT rubs me the wrong way- it strikes me as being VERY privileged, to think it's exciting to say you're homeless.

The part that got me was she spelled “pizookie” (which is supposed to be a pizza/cookie hybrid) as “pazookie” - Urban Dictionary has some lovely definitions for “pazookie” of which I’m thinking she is unaware...

I shudder at the thought of paying for the upkeep and cleaning a big place (while lucky enough to have a SO who does over half the housework because he works from home at least 1 day per week). And then worrying about selling such a big house (especially with the current state of the world and the impact on living and housing in the future). But eh, Becky Higgins will be Becky Higgins. When are we getting a McMansion core kit though?

Suddenly she’s found her purpose again and that is to micro manage the shit out of everything. She will draw this house unpacking thing out for at least 2 years. I’m calling it now.

Holy crap the light fixture for her piano room cost over $2k!! One light fixture. And she switched out the all the lightbulbs on the damn thing, of course.
Either her husband is making bank or the PL brand is bringing in way more money that I thought it was.

Oooooh, the Movara RV is coming to my area this weekend. There’s some sort of meetup but it looks like anyone can go. You get a swag bag and $50 coupon. I can’t make it though. I already planned to do anything else.
