Holy crap the light fixture for her piano room cost over $2k!! One light fixture. And she switched out the all the lightbulbs on the damn thing, of course. Either her husband is making bank or the PL brand is bringing in way more money that I thought it was. Her husband is an anesthesiologist, and according to the internet has been one for 10 years. I’m guessing he’s at the $400-500k level, so...

I had to go look. I just read a couple of posts, and I have to say that I was I was a bit offended about the comments they made about being "homeless" and how the kids were excited to say they were homeless. This whole situation is a very far cry from homelessness...it makes them seem exceptionally out of touch with reality. I HAVE been homeless and it's incredibly offensive to make those jokes. Same. I won’t evem even give them the time of day.

The designer mentions on her website that she's a crap writer with dodgy grammar (to paraphrase). It blows my mind that the only flip through (?) anyone has access to of this kit was made this month from product bought at an overstock store. BH/AC really didn't promote the product they invested in?? They obviously made plenty of them so why wouldn't they advertise them?? I know, I should be used to BH's ass-backwards decision making by now...

I suggested Donna make the video (since I really don't make them but 1 of my 2 videos is a flip through of a PL kit, lol) precisely because of this. She didn't think there would be much interest, but I figured that the worst case would be that a few people would see a kit they didn't know about before and want it. It's actually good marketing for PL to have access to the contents.

The Design A pack of 60 is now $40.99 on Joann.com. Holy price hike Batman! Those used to be $29.99 before the coupon, right?!!

When I run out I’m going to make do with the stack of page protectors for 6 horizontal 4x6 photos that I have and either sew the middle pockets into 3x4 or mount 3x4s onto thin paper. I will start supporting PL branded stuff again when BH starts caring again.

The boxes are nice but I want to see what's inside, how many of each card, and hear what they feel like, all that stuff. (Or at least I would if I wanted to buy PL.) You did the world a great service

New Becky light fixture is up... $549-$1200 (depending on size, I’m guessing she went with the medium or large size).
She does not live in the reality that most people live in. I know a lot of upper-middle class families, my own included, who do not spend that amount of money on light fixtures.
I think this is one of the issues Becky has as a business owner. She is out of touch with a majority of her customers.

I wonder if she honestly thinks that the majority of people who follow her can or want to spend that kind of money on a light fixture or other misc piece. Most people would have more important things to spend their money on. She must realize that not everyone makes the salary of a doctor like her husband. Many, many career paths don’t pay anywhere near what he is probably making. she throws her big purchases out there like they are no big deal but then wants to show us how to save 20 bucks on plastic containers for the kitchen. If I was spending thousands on lighting l don’t think I’d be worried about a few bucks on storage. Maybe it’s just me.

The other Becky (Becky P) certainly doesn’t lack in self-confidence. She’s her own biggest fan.

I did think it was funny when she posted the POP containers on sale at Costco, then mentioned how them being a little different than the regular retail containers was almost a deal breaker because her and hubby are such sticklers for perfect aesthetics. But in the end they decided to just let it go. I bet she ends up replacing them eventually when she cannot stand seeing slightly yellowed, thicker tops. The fact they have a square release valve (with rounded corners no less!) instead of round is just irony upon irony. I thought she would have loved those rounded corners!!!!!!

I wonder if in all this “season of life” “needing to figure out her business plan” and “it’s ok-guys-really it’s ok” posts if she at all reflects on the fact if there were less work besties and work meetings that were social gatherings if things would have worked out differently? I really think her product could have withstood all the downturns in the scrapbooking market if she wouldn’t have surrounded herself with those that only said, “yes, you go girl! People want wrapping paper and dresses.” The one guy (Race) didn’t last long there and I often wonder why.

She announced when she had to let that one woman go and made a big deal about it, but nothing about him leaving. My guess is he quit.

FYI....Zulily has PL kits and binders on sale I'm actually tempted by the "Notes & Things" mini kit they have but I think the rounded corners would bug me too much to pull the trigger and order. I loved that collection so much when it came out. No design A pocket pages either. A decent selection of binders though. Thanks for sharing.

There are several kits on Zulily that I do not even recognize. Seriously, Marketing 101: make sure your customer base knows the product they can BUY. That’s how you stay in business.

I don’t normally want to discuss appearances, but since she’s brought it up. If Becky wears a medium, I am the Queen of England.

"Twinning is winning" ...matchy matchy swimsuits now. Is Becky P her only friend these days? I have been wondering that myself since she is all over social media with her new bestie. I do wonder if she is one of those fair weather friends who is always moving on to the next person who can do something for her.
