Missouri is technically the midwest - but i'm the southern part of the state...and it feels 'southern' to me

all of those
i use them and are called them
there are plenty of things to be insulted by - these tears of endearment aren't' one of them
but if people want to be insulted - they will be
i'm adding to my spreadsheet - "peas that get pissy if you call them 'hon'"

I worked for my father for a bit in my late teens in between colleges. I used to hear him call secretaries he was dealing with on the phone “dear” and cringe. I would later go into his office and explain why that wasn’t cool in a business setting.

Doesnt bother me in the least. Except one should NEVER call me "Miss Lady". Makes me want to.cut someone.
