Are you someone that works on one album start to finish before starting the next?
Or do you have a on-going album plus side projects?
Or do you just do layouts and worry about albums later?
Or are you like me and flit between albums depending on what catches your fancy?
Last month I finished up a couple of album projects - this month I've done some pages in the on-going 2018 family album, I did one layout in DS's on-going Navy album, I started a new album project with my mum's stories, and I just pulled DD11's baby album out in hopes of getting it finished.

I tend to do pages for the current seasonal album with a few side trips along the way to add a page to an earlier album or create this month’s calendar page. I also have an album about me that I add a page to now and then, and sometimes do daily pages in response to prompts for something like gratitude.

Several. I scrap my kids' lives by their school years. I also have albums devoted to their varsity sports (with copies of newspaper articles and pictures). I have most of their younger years scrapped but need to finish 10-12th grades for DD and 8th-12th grade for DS. DS has FAR more pictures because phones with good cameras and social media really took off when he was entering high school and DD was graduating. He'll eventually end up with a few more albums because of it; luckily, DD understands. I have all the pictures printed and organized, so I just look in the box and see what I'm in the mood for. Last week I did DS's confirmation and DD's basketball senior night. I just ordered an album for DS's AAU basketball, so I guess I'll be starting another one.

I’m working in a few right now. I have my ongoing 2018 album, which is pretty current. I’m also working on my HS album, my 1999-2006 album, my older family/my childhood album, and working on my moms scrapbooks.
Sometimes it’s difficult to go back and forth between albums but also if I hit a wall with one I just take a break and go to the next project.

Generally 3. My family album, my indy 500 album, and a vacation album. Lately I've been adding a mini album into the mix (inspired by the peas to use up my stash of those). I like having the choice of what to work on since they all have different styles.

I essentially have one continuous album. My albums simply have their date range on the spine. And that changes when I have to add a whole bunch of layouts to one, so everything has to move forward.
I flit back and forth between years and events in my scrapbooking. It keeps me interested. I try to scrap a little bit of "current" to capture accurate memories, but if I were to try to "keep up" I'd sink and drown.

i don't "do" albums. to me an album is just a place where the pages live. i can't be bothered with all that organizing and agonizing over what goes where. i finish a page, i stick it in the next available spot. spots all full? time to crack open a new album. easy peasy.

Good question! I have on going books for my two sons and my soon to be new granddaughter (yes, she has a book already).
Then I have my various projects and I try to work on them until I am done, but some of the themes I just lose interest after awhile, like a big 3-4 album project and I've used all my fun and cool stuff.
I have 2 ongoing books - one has one page each year for each sons' birthday and one page a year of Christmas along with my Christmas newsletter. So those are easy to keep up with - 3 layouts a year.
I am about to redo my wedding album but will use much of the original stuff. I will work on it until it is done, but in between I will keep up with current photos.

hmp The other day I came across an autographed picture of Ricky Rudd. My coworker is his nephew. If you would like it I will send it to you, although all I know is he is a retired race car driver.

All of them. I don’t really consider any album “done” except for my Project Life albums. If an album year gets full, I split it into another album. I scrap whatever I feel like scrapping so all albums are a work in progress.

I do layouts and worry about albums later. I usually separate by person or event. ie each kid has their own albums, the dog, the cats, my wedding, each trip we take, stuff like that. My project life albums are usually my own personal albums where I just create spreads for fun. If I’m working on a project life album, then I usually work on it until it’s finished. The other albums are always a work in progress c

I have my general life layouts in several albums: The family life, DS, DD, Us (dh & I), DH, Me, Selfies (only family selfies), DH's side, My Side. His side and my side include friend layouts as well as extended family layouts. I also have layouts I'm creating about my dd's health issues, but I'm doing that digitally and haven't chosen an album or if I'll create a book.
I don't scrap chronologically but I keep chronological(ish), so when I put layouts away I'm usually dipping into several albums.

I have two little kid albums, a dog album, two current albums, and usually two vacation albums all going at the same time.

I work on my chronological album mostly and have others going at the same time.
Like my son’s Marine album—which honestly I’ve made like 3 layouts. Mostly, I sit and look at the photos and cry with pride.
I also usually have a Disney trio album going.
Annnd. My art journal. But that’s just mine. No sharing. Thought I’d try sharing it, but wasn’t happy with the spread I did. I held back because I knew it was going to be “out there”.

When I began scrapping I 2007, I had one album in which I put every LO …. but these days I have over 15 ongoing* albums. I like to dip in and out of different themes - sometimes I am in the mood to do a family or pets LO and other times in the mood to be reminded of one of my holidays (vacations). I have separate albums for each holiday area (eg New England general) and then another for a city where I have lots of memories (eg Boston or San Francisco). My two main hobbies are travelling and scrapbooking so it is lovely to combine the two, and the upside of me being a divorced empty-nester, is that the space in my home is my own. (*this number doesn't include my completed albums!)

I have 3 albums in progress right now, and a few more in the planning stages. I have my family album, ongoing, one per year. I have a vacation album I'm making for DD. And I have holiday 6x8 that's on it's 3rd volume, a handful of pages per year x 20 years.
I have heritage albums in the planning stages. I may end up doing those digitally. Then again, it's hard to add anything to a printed photo book after-the-fact, so I may end up doing those in standard scrapbook albums.

I don't know that I've ever 'finished' an album. I work on the pages that I feel like, and store them consecutively so it usually works out to be 2 albums per year for the number of pages that I average. And then I do separate albums for holidays. So I'm currently working on 2018 pages, but also 2017 and 2016, and my 2015 holiday album is still in progress, and then I have photos from previous years that aren't in albums so I guess they are 'unfinished' too? It doesn't bother me, though.

It depends on what photos I have printed. I'm terrible at doing it on a regular basis and I'm three years behind. I keep adding photos to my cart until it reaches a price I'm comfortable with and then work with those when they arrive. Sometimes it's the family album (I use divided sheet protectors) or it's an 8.5x11 album of another subject.
If I were better about having a bunch of photos already printed, I would jump from one album to another. I get bored easily.

Right now I have 15 WRMK albums lined up for my grands (5). Three for each. None of them have one album FULL but I'm working on it! I hope to give them each an album at Christmas this year but we will see!
For my own layouts, I just do them, and then stack them in a pile. When the pile is big enough I put them in an album.

I make random layouts and they eventually get separated into their respective albums depending on what type of layout it is. My 'regular' albums are separated into different categories. (the categories are loosely based on S. Julian's Library of Memories-- gotta give proper attribution for my ideas, you know! ) I scrap layouts randomly depending on what I feel like doing, but the layouts get put into albums in approximately chronological order. * Places We Go: Southwest * Places we Go: IL/WI (both of our families are there) * Home and Family * PL / random pocket pages (mainly monthly layouts, but this album will end up covering probably 3-4 years total.) * All About Me (random childhood memories, college, elementary school, etc.) just remembered this one... I don't do specific 'album' projects-- other than the two 12x12 albums that I have halfway done; they're for a 2-week Hawaiian vacation we took in 2014. So, let's see- that makes six seven albums I have in-process right now. Now I'll read the thread and see what everyone else says-- did I win for the most albums not-finished?!? lol!!

I work on 4 albums ongoing, Our Family PL album and one for each of my 3 kids documenting their lives.
I also have a Christmas card album that add to after Christmas.
I also do WITL and DD with Ali Edwards when those seasons roll around but I currently have them all completed.

I switch back and forth. 1. Alaska album. We spent a month in Alaska in 2014. I’m *still* trying to finish it. 2. Grandaughter and grandson’s albums. I am currently in 2005! 3. My daughter’s album. She’s 46. 4. A small personal album of all the things I have made i.e. kids clothes, quilts, etc.
I need to,start an album for my son ( not that he’d give a flip) but it’s important to me.

Albums? Ha ha ha! I just make layouts and pile them up, mostly. I don’t know that I’ve ever completed an album with the exception of smaller gift albums. When I have a room I’ll work on getting pages into albums. I kind of like the idea of just popping them in without putting them in order though!

Currently I am: 1. Working on 2018 2. Close to completing 2017 3. Working on 2010( I didn't do albums between 2004-2010: we moved, owned a business & were caretakers of my parents.) When those are done , I will move backwards from 1999. I keep completed pages in Iria boxes labeled with the date until I am "finished" with that year & then I put in albums.

Several. I keep 2 albums per year project life style with traditional layouts included. I tend to work on these chronologically, but if I get behind I might skip parts and add things later in an old one. I just recently finalized my 2017 ones, but I have both of my 2018 ones in progress right now. I also have an ongoing "me" album and an ongoing "us" album for layouts about those topics that are not chronological in our main album. Then I have an ongoing "fabric projects" album that documents my progress with my sewing projects, but its full of notes/fabric scraps/progress photos, etc., not really regular layouts. I also have a One Little Word album but I think this is going to be my last year keeping one.
On top of that I do short term projects like December Daily, Week in the Life, vacations, etc. and work on those as they come up. But I don't always finish one before I move onto other things, I work on things as I'm inspired and keep a list of everything I want to get done so I can pick and choose what I want to work on at any given time.

I have plenty of albums on the go because I scrap whatever I feel like. So I have several vacation albums in various stages of completion, albums for my childhood, my uni years, month in review (other than 2011 all other years I've done this are complete), my cats, heritage albums for both sides of my family, my DH & I, and other random layouts that don't really fit into any of those categories. Now, if we were to talk about the completed albums I'd have a much shorter list
