Thanks grammadee starting with a new therapist and rehashing most of the traumas really made the depression amazingly worse, I wasn’t prepared for that. I fell into a deep depression last night, but I’m feeling better today. I just never know what to expect. Scrapping is the most beneficial for me but every time I’ve tried , I just freeze up. If I can just get started, I really think it’ll help. I have another therapy appointment today, hopefully this one won’t be so rough. Coming here and being more chatty and active and the support I’ve received here really helps. Sorry about that dasmith2, you have my full sympathy. I have been thinking I should try some therapy, I've been suffering with anxiety for the past few years and maybe therapy could help. But the thought of opening up all those boxes in my head and digging through them.... it's hard! Hope you can get started scrapping soon hun, it always helps me when I'm having a crappy anxiety day, it focuses me and all the other stuff stops for a while. Fingers crossed you can get gluing and sticking soon Thanks so much for your support 💕 The first visit was the hardest, but today when I went it was really beneficial, it was mostly for self esteem issues (I have PTSD) so it’s all related to it from what I’m told. With my anxiety, self care is a big help. Scrapping is the most beneficial to me I think, I just have frozen up when I’ve tried, but I’m getting closer I think 😊 I also love photography and hiking so those I will try to work back in. I’m so sorry you have anxiety, it’s a bummer for sure my heart goes out to you and I hope it gets better 💕

The first week of sketches is in the books. How many have you been able to work on? I am thinking I may be able to combine #6 with #7 if my mojo can be pulled out from under the quilt this morning after dgs goes to school. Still have supplies and photos for a couple more Disney pages, probably Toy Story pages this time. Not sure how I can slip a springtime element in there, though.

I've completed the first one and have the second and sixth ones ready for journaling and any final embellishment. It's been a busy week at work but I have no plans this weekend so hoping I can spend some time scrapping.

I think I’ve only done two. I get up at 3:30 am and therefore need to be in bed by 8:00 and my crazy retired dh actually wants me to spend time with him ❤️). My first task, after I finish eating lunch, is to tally my points so far and then I’m going to decide on my next sketch to conquer!

You all have me beat. I just finished my first today. It has been a crazy week around here and I'm hoping for more scrappy time in the next 3 weeks.

I've been wanting to play along, but I've never actually followed a sketch before. I always just kind of wing it, and move things around a billion times before I'm happy. Does anyone have any pointers for a sketchtember newbie?

I've been wanting to play along, but I've never actually followed a sketch before. I always just kind of wing it, and move things around a billion times before I'm happy. Does anyone have any pointers for a sketchtember newbie? I let the sketches take me where they will. Sometimes my results closely resemble the sketch, and sometimes if you don't look closely, it's hard to see how my page was inspired at all by the sketch. Some sketches I see and immediately know what I want to do with them. Others take a bit of thinking. My advice would be to not change your own process too much. If you start with the photos, then do that. Choose a sketch that has the right number of pic's and lay out yours on a plain cs. Then you can start looking for the other elements, and tuck pp under and other elements over, under & around the photos. If you start with the patterned paper, then find a sketch you like, and then pre cut your papers to shapes and sizes that resemble the sketch's. Same with the title, or the journaling block. Wherever you normally start, just go from there. Hope you give it a try and that you share your results with us.

I just finished my last layout in grandchildren's books for our "destination wedding" and starting on bride's pocket page album where I'm putting all the leftovers and pics I didn't scrap for her 12x12 album.
I was thinking I couldn't use any sketches on pocket pages, but maybe I can. Anyone done that?

If you have the sketches printed off and look through them just before you start arranging the photos, you may find that some of them can be adapted to pocket pages. Go for it, Elayne!

@elaynef - Jane's ( JaneB)'s sketches usually include a card/pocket card version

I’ve found 2-3 sketches that may be perfect for pics of my precious nephew. He turned 2 last week, and his big sister took some fabulous photos. I’m hoping my back will let me sit long enough to print the pics, and play around. I can’t wait! 😁

All of the sketches have landed, and what a crop they are! It has been a blast using the sketches for my own pages and cards and seeing all of the wonderful other takes on them! This thread is pinned under the September Challenges above, and I hope that any time you are stuck for inspiration you open it up and review any or all of the sketches, examples and other projects based on them. I know I will. Please join me in a SHOUT OUT to the Sketchtember hosts: stinkerbelle, kiwigirl, JaneB, joyfulnana, DawnMcD, pennyscraps, kitbop. Thanks for all the inspiration! EXTENSION: Don't forget that if you are a September Team player, you have until end of day Friday October 5th to earn your bonus points for completing all the sketches for your September Team. These are the points you can claim for September after today: *1 point for each new sketch you take on or 5 points for sketch + twist. *Bonus of 50 points for completing all 30 sketches (with or without twists). All other points for your creations (including those for creating & sharing your project) will be applied to your October team.

Thank you to all of our wonderful Sketchtember hosts and to grammadee and stinkerbelle for hosting the monthly team challenges and to our great team leaders kiwigirl and LisaDV. It's been a great month! And I've earnt my 50 points for doing all the sketches. I'm going to give my shot at another 50 for doing all the challenges - I'm struggling with Simple stories - I have nothing in my stash but perhaps I can find something downloadable on their website that'll work.

I spent two hours organizing but still haven’t scrapped today. I’m going to try to get at least one page done. It’s been a very unproductive weekend for me.

and I lied -I have Urban Traveller...I just didn't realise it was Simple Stories so ...yay! Then you didn't lie. You simply were ignorant.
I wish I could've done more. More sketches, more monthly challenges, more pages, more commenting. I didn't. I just got super busy. Life happens. Didn't even hit the 200 points mark. Oh well, there will be other months, other challenges, more fun to be had!
I'm sorry to see the daily sketches go. They were exciting and made so many people try to accomplish some more scrappy stuff. Would the Team Challenge hostesses consider making a weekly sketch part of the monthly game in the future (with a twist for bonus points)? That seems like a fun way to keep the Peas extra engaged.

Thank you to our Sketchtember hostesses: stinkerbelle, kiwigirl, JaneB, joyfulnana, DawnMcD, pennyscraps, kitbop. Your sketches were amazing. And the inspirational layouts that went with them were all fabulous. I've always said I'm not really a sketch person, only use them occasionally...but I absolutely loved this event. I guess I'm more of a sketch person than I thought. I love the idea of sketchy Saturday's. When I come back (from the move), I'd totally be up for helping out there.

Sketember was exciting and inspiring! I didn't complete them all but I will continue working through them. After being a part of this, I know I will definitely be taking part in the monthly sketch challenge that KikiPea posts each month!

I totally missed reading this thread for some reason, thank you for the thanks everyone! I am totally up for Sketchy Saturday and will start it off this weekend. I'll just post a sketch and we can do it if we want and I'll ask who wants to do the next one. Hopefully we can just keep it going that way, every week someone else volunteers to pick a new sketch and if nobody does, I'll jump in and do it That way we'll get a mixture of sketches and not just me picking all the time (clearly I would love it if I always picked but I'm sure the rest of you would get bored with single photo LOs all the time lol!).
