a Christmas card for Christmas yet to come - I was inspired by a free scrapbook.com class on using scraps to make cards...it was aimed at die cuts but I used scraps and cut-aparts instead.

I am considering not joining October's team as I don't want to take a spot and hurt the team... woodysbetty - You stopped me in my tracks as I was happily oggling pretty pages this morning - don't say this!!! I don't think *anyone* cares what points you are getting, it's having everyone around that counts. Maybe you can only be encouragement for us, or maybe we can encourage you to get a little bit scrapped, and maybe it's just your presence in the monthly chat group, or your challenges in the list, but in any case, please join! woodysbetty, I agree with kitbop! No one cares about points. If you are going to be around, you should totally join in. I'm not going to be joining teams until we're moved and re-settled. But that's because I feel I won't have time for any small part of it. If I thought I could at least view layouts even without making any, I'd join in. It might be a good distraction for you.

LisaDV has a wonderful husband with crazy hair. All he needs is to turn his skin orange and his hair in this photo would make him a shoe in for trump. Oh, I'm afraid to tell him, it would be his next Halloween outfit for sure. He did go as Bill Clinton one year.

nylene - you have a real colour knack, and I always love your style, your clean edges but interesting shapes and clusters - fabulous layout! linda - I struggled with photo-realistic too (hence mine ended up being christmas baubles in my december daily). Yours looks fabulous, you used just the right amount. And that's a lovely card, I adore the traditional colours. KelleeM - love the donut layout - "sprinkles" everywhere and the lovely tiny flowers echoing the pp. Also great birthday layout! I totally recognize the sketch and the pp! sleepingbooty - your dd album is going to be fabulous! Those papers look amazing striped up like that.

These 2 cards are for sketches #26 and #30 - I'm starting to play with Christmas card ideas - I got this stamp set for my coworkers, thinking it was fun. Both use the twist of "old" - there is NOTHING new on here except the stamps Actually, for "holiday cheer", the red and green pp is old CADD paper (and honestly, I don't like it. Probably won't use it again!!!) First card - 5 + 2 + 8 points = 15 Second card - 5 + 2 + 6 points = 13 card holiday cheer by kirstendrew, on Flickr card reinbeer time by kirstendrew, on Flickr OK those reinbeer are just plain cute!

a card for the fringe and shaped eyelet challenge - yes I hand cut that fringe as I don't have fringing scissors - my arthritic fingers didn't enjoy that much. I'm waiting on my final layout to dry (recipe challenge) before scanning and sharing but I've done ALL the September team challenges and am claiming #24 Challenge Pea-Superstar and a bonus of 50 points!

Van Gough is amazing, I love the colours on that one too, I feel like I know what that paper is but I can't remember cause it's so old now! It's from a paper pad I picked up earlier this year at Hobby Lobby on clearance for about $3 - I wouldn't usually have bothered because it was so pink but I've really gotten a lot of use from it.

Here are my last three layouts for the month of September. Here is one using October Afternoon papers. I once purchased a pack of 100 various sheets from PeachyCheap. I love OA papers. IMG_1247 by Catrina Smith, on Flickr I have a whole lotta Studio Calico papers from when I subscribed for about 2 years. I am slowly but surely trying to use it up by making little kits (I know it came in kits but there was never enough ephemera for me...). IMG_1248 by Catrina Smith, on Flickr I was trying to use a sketch on this one but it didn't work out. I think it ended up ok. Once again using Studio Calico papers. IMG_1249 by Catrina Smith, on Flickr Thanks again to everyone for all of the challenges and support this month. I had so much fun my first month! I was MIA for the past week or so due to some issues with my poor little dog. She is on the mend but still has to go to the vet every other day for the next couple of weeks. I plan to come back and look at all of the layouts and crafty work in the next couple of days.

catseatcheese I love that you used the OA birthday line for your puppy LO! Great layering and design I love the transparency behind the photo and the clip, the pocket with the typewriting on the library card and the fun sprinkled embellies and gold Heidi shine. Gorgeous LO! For your awesome page, I love the mix of color and pattern you put together (I never thought their kits were cohesive so any I bought in sales I just dismantled and now I make little kits out of the papers too!). I love how you’ve used the frames, especially the one with your journaling! For your fall page, I think the angles of the papers go nicely with the leaning tower, and I love the fun stapled sequins and giant title! Thanks so much for sharing and I’m looking forward to having you with us for October! kiwigirl your pages are just jaw-dropping gorgeous! I can’t believe how many pages you did using only ephemera! I’m off to read your blog post…

christinec68 I left you some love in the gallery! Linda love the colors on your final LO. The fun burst paper echoes the kids’ excited faces and I love the little banners and flower! The title page for your son’s album is very cool with the airport sign lettering (what are those things called? Arrival board?) and fun airplane border. Your class-inspired card is beautiful! KelleeM great job finishing up 2 more sketches!! Love the colors on the happy birthday page; that multi-print paper packs quite the punch and makes the page look much harder than it probably was. Love the little cluster in the top right! And the donut page cracked me up. That title is perfect because that donut is as big as her head! Love the fun background paper that is a twin for the donut and those cute flowers around the circle. That grin
