You know, those things that you always bump in to, or stub your toe on... or in my case, pull my hair.
So, when I fill the coffee pot, it’s on this small counter section next to out double ovens. I apparently lean to the left as I pour the water into the machine. My hair gets caught on the handle of the top oven. So many times a week, I lose a strand or two of hair making coffee 😂
I’ve only lived her for 3 months, but I can’t seem to pour the darn water without leaning left...
In my old house, I would miss the edge of the bottom stair a lot. It was curved, and my feet always wanted to be where the step wasn’t.
What always gets you in your house?

The footboard on our bed at my MIL's home in AZ gets me. I come home with bruised shins every time we visit.

I can't wipe down our wooden stair steps without stubbing my pinky finger on one (or more!) ballisters.

The freezer door handle at our cabin. I have to lean over to fill the refrigerator door with bottled water, and when I stand up I whack my head on the handle of the freezer door handle above. I’ve nailed my head on that thing several times.
At home it would be door frames. You would think that it would be pretty easy to avoid walking into the frame of a door, but apparently it’s not. Not only have I bruised myself on doorframes multiple times, but I also broke my watch once when my arm whacked into the door frame because I turned around too fast.

This doesn't cause pain, but it's intensely annoying. I am exactly the height at which, if I wear jeans or pants with belt loops, I will catch a belt loop on any door handle I pass. I have no idea why I walk so close to the door handles, but I do. I catch the stupid handle and get yanked unceremoniously backwards, arms flailing (because I apparently move at warp speed through the house and then, well... Newton's second law of motion...). Drives me bonkers.

The one and only bathroom is located on the opposite end of the house and if that wasn’t bad enough, the toilet is on the opposite end of a very long space.

Most everything.
I am a klutz. I trip over the lines painted in parking lots. There are at least 3 bruises on my body at any given time period. The location of the bruise tells me what I have ran into. It's bad enough that I don't even pay attention to those injuries anymore, unless they are extreme.
My theory is the med I am on for the Fibromyalgia has dulled all pain. I have a blister on the back of my heel that I never felt until after it had burst. It could be from the walk Monday or Thursday. I don't know.

I am constantly walking through doorways and banging my shoulder on the way through! There’s plenty of room to pass through, I just can’t seem to navigate the space.
I also break my nails or scrape my fingers frequently as I reach into our washer to grab clothes. Again, it’s like I can’t move well through the space that’s there.

The footboard on my bed! It's Mission style, and the top horizontal rail extends about two inches past the rest of the footboard on either side. Never will I ever again buy such an evil piece of furniture. It just clobbers your upper thigh when you stumble into it, and it's so painful, esp. in the middle of the night. I have perpetual bruises on my left thigh, my husband has perpetual bruises on his right thigh. I suppose we should switch sides of the bed so the opposite thigh can take the damage for a while!

My craft space is all built in cabinetry. I thought it was very clever to have cabinetry above the workspace. Even better, I can reach the bottom shelf while still in my chair... super handy for grabbing the bin of stamping supplies and ink when I am working on my album. But it never fails that I leave that door open and then some time later forget about it and then hit myself in the head when I stand up... generally with the very sharp point on the corner of the open door. But yet I still haven’t learned to just shut the damn door after I open it 🤷🏻♀️

Clutter .... it's an eyesore. It's going to be a rainy and humid Labor Day weekend. Time to do some major de-cluttering!

The ottoman to the living room couch. It’s massive, 4 feet by 4 feet, and I constantly stub my toes on the wood feet. Like bad enough that I split the toenail all the way down. It’s going to be replaced with a new one eventually. I just haven’t found one I like yet.

The dishwasher door when I leave it completely open. I'm getting better about closing it or walking around without bumping my shin but I still do it sometimes.

Our coffee table, specifically the corners. Every now and then I will have a nasty bruise on my thigh, just above my knee from running into the damn thing. My SIL is the same height as me. She’s had the same bruise. It’s an attack table.

Nothing that always is, but today, I smashed my knee into the corner of the footboard on my bed. I hit it so hard, I can hardly walk.

I must have the same style bed as Mystie because that thing bites me on the thigh all the time and OUCH. I now literally rest my hand on the corner of the footrail when I walk past so I can’t hit myself.

My shower. It's small and invariably I hurt my elbow or hand. I hate my bathroom. It was designed poorly.
